check the description very well, then make sure there is official global rom for the device before buying.

sure, just make sure it's real global rom. I use a Chinese version rn5 with Global rom n no issues so far. Got ota self on starting up the phone

its not new now, if your bootloader is unlocked, no problem. If you use a Chinese model with Global rom and you lock bootloader it won't boot till you unlock bootloader back. It's been like this for some months now self i think someone also talked about it on this thread before.

Chinese version with Global rom installed. Bootloader will be unlocked also

you good to go as long as bootloader is unlocked what it means is if you unlock bootloader n flash global rom don't lock bootloader back. If you do, the phone won't boot the global rom. They started this recently,.

i haven't tried a custom rom yet. Just switched to redmi note 5, front portrait just takes black picture. I think miui 10 is the culprit so far, a friend i helped install gcam has this same issue after upgrading to miui 10. I use magisk 17.1, got a flashable camera2api zip which is not a magisk module. Number is on my signature. I don try up to 10 gcams same issue.

if u not careful ehn, u go use one month wait for the phone. Mine shipped after 9 days, took almost 19 days to lagos. You just have to be patient cos the sellers will not allow u cancel the order
