ThinkSmarter:I shake my head in pity for uninformed individuals like you. The TETfund you all are mentioning today was a product of ASUU's struggle! Let me educate you a bit. The purpose of TETfund is to provide supplementary source of funding to all tertiary (federal and state) institutions. TETfund, which is a brainchild of ASUU generates fund through the 2% education tax paid from accessible profits of all companies registered in Nigeria. Go to most state universities, virtually all buildings were erected through TETfund, except for Admin building, in some cases. So tell me exactly what government is suppose to be doing if not funding education. You all keep praising the same people striping you and your unborn generation of their Commonwealth, while bad-mouthing the same union that brought about TETfund you are talking of. If the masses cannot hold the government at the jugular to better the society by investing in education, then there is absolutely no hope for this country, because a country can NEVER rise beyond the level of her education! Honestly, when I read posts like this, it convinces me that the sacrifices ASUU is going through is not worth it. We should fight for our welfare alone and allow government to hike tuition fees to whatever amount it deems fit. Then parents and students can take up the fight from there. Tertiary education is not meant for all afterall! |
pocohantas:Madam Poco, thank you for sharing. More opened doors for you. |
Oregbe17:Sorry about that. Was enrollment/training free? Currently looking for one that is free. |
siofra:Madam, you too like vawulence! |
Lovenorth:Honestly, I just received a mail with article and processing fee of over 80k. The common man cannot understand the plight of Nigerian lecturers! Let him employ his bandit friends to teach. |
highbee02:Okay, Alanamu I know. Not as popular as other markets though. |
olasaad:My sister, e tire me! I have never heard of it before. |
Please I want to ask other Ilorin residents where Alamu market is situated. I grew up in Ilorin, yet the name of this market doesn't ring a bell. The markets I am familiar with are Ipata, Oja Oba, mandate, Oja titun and Gambari. |
Angrymode:The Op is obviously frustrated with life & high on weed. How can a student who can't even reproduce what he or she was taught in exam pass? Intelligent students, who knows why they are in school don't have this thought pattern. He thinks dullards like him are those admitted into Havard. |
festacman:I suggest you do your findings well before making unfounded statements. His children are in Nigerian universities, to be precise, federal universities! |
Illiteracy at its peak. So she doesn't know the way to an hospital to check if she is still fertile. You read some stories and you just wanna puke! |
It's rather unfortunate that most ladies can't live without make-up. What disgusts me most is their messy look when they sweat or cry (as seen in some Nollywood movies), eroding the tons of paint on their faces! Guys, before you chuk leg inside any serious relationship, request she goes natural. E get why. Make-up dey cover serious things! |
Greattestman:Jobless ![]() |
islandsscotch8:How much were you paid for this anthem yo keep pasting on every thread that involves BAT? Don't let that miserable stipend they are throwing at you like a dog cloud your sense of judgement. I am certain those shouting Sai baba in 2015 are now regretting except they are stupendously stupid. The peanut you are getting isn't worth 4 or 8years of anguish com poverty you may be subjected to. You owe your unborn generation by choosing wisely. |
The title of this thread should have been "Your state, who you are supporting for 2023 election and picture of your PVC" Because I can say affirmatively that some people that are OBIdiently commenting don't have PVC ![]() |
I have experienced this situation before. This woman was in my office briefly. The entire atmosphere changed to her body odour and after she left, the odour refused to go oo. Even AC couldn't overcome the odour. I had to stay outside leaving the office door opened for a long while. You have two options. 1: Ask a female colleague to speak to her 2: Discuss with her politely and nicely. Suggest better skin care products & deodorant to her. You could even get them for her if money is the issue. If your situation is as bad as the one I experienced just for 5 minutes or thereabout, I will pick option 2 and voice out ASAP! |
See your life? You ran inside the bush. Redpillers will soon come to handle your matter. On a second thought, it was best you ran because it appears she was ready to kill you. Some women are really mad, irrespective of their profession. Why are you staying with someone this toxic for 6 years? Is your destiny tied to hers? |

Whoever clicked the link should tell us why she stopped wearing wigs, because I am not going to click it... ![]() |
The part of this story that got me laughing was when the guy said " I need your heart". He sounded like a ritualist hunting for organs ![]() I have no advice for you since you deliberately chose to be foolish. |
Why are you guys bothered whether the Hennessy is fake? It doesn't matter if the Coke is fake sef. The intention is what matters i.e., celebrating children's day with the neighbour's kid. Please cut him some slack! BTW, to those complaining, what spectacular thing did you do for a child (that is not your own) today? |
Orisirisi! Your job no dey important to you. You resume work and your first achievement is starting a relationship with your supervisor. Kwantinu! |
Simply move on. You are just 22, you have your life ahead of you. Improve yourself, keep your mind busy by learning new skills or something and don't venture into any relationship for now. With time, you will heal and find someone who will love you irrespective of your age difference. Some men are wicked shaa, after 5years! He will soon jam what he is looking for. |
I am just curious to know what you want to achieve together ![]() |
On point 3, it wouldn't have made sense for me to carry one person in front leaving the backseat empty knowing fully well that they are undergraduates and may end up being late for their CBT/ exam that day. Don't worry, you won't be strangled but it's a good thing you are security concious. [ :Pquote author=pocohantas post=110260026] 3) Why carry strangers in your back seat? I never did that. My back seat was reserved for my bag, food flask and all that. I only move them if the occupants are known people, not strangers. You want to strangle me from the back and I will get tagged olosho when my dead body is dumped somewhere? Nahhhh![/quote] |
Obviously, you haven't met some people that can be so annoying. Have you ever been where "oversabi" undergraduates are gisting non stop? They literarily made the car unconducive for me despite the fact that I was doing them a favour. I have entered lifts as well and I just can't imagine myself whistling songs till I reach my destination. The call was more of gisting with another friend who wasn't with them. Maybe it's because I am used to a calm and peaceful atmosphere and for the fact that I always comport myself well whenever I am in someone else's car/space... especially people I don't know! doggedfighter: |
Yes o! Any place other than someone else's private space. ![]() ItsGoodToBeGood: |
I doubt we've met. Besides, the man I referred to is elderly and wouldn't have given your kind of response so my dear, you aren't the one! Why will you enter someone's car and be whistling sef? ![]() ItsGoodToBeGood: |
Driving to work alone in the morning is always an opportunity for me to ruminate on how to achieve my set goals for the day or commune with my maker if I wasn't chanced to properly do so earlier. Due to transportation issues along the route I take to work, I've had to give students and staffs lift a number of times to enable them meet up with exams, lectures or duties. One thing that annoys me the most is when I give people lift and they misbehave. I once gave some people lift and one received call for almost 5minutes, later on they all started gisting to such an extent I couldn't concentrate on what I wanted to figure out before getting to work In another instance, one tried to lift my work and lunch bag off the passenger's front seat because other passengers already occupied the back seat. I just politely told her no! Recently, one man whom I guess was an admin staff sat in front and after the pleasantries, he started whistling a song I don't even know. I have decided not to give people lift again to avoid being worked up or pissed off! So please share your experience on the kind of behaviour people have exhibted while giving them a lift.

You are way prettier without the make-up. As per rating, I give you 1/10. It's just too loud and the lipstick ehn, lemme keep quiet. |
I hope you won't come here to create a thread on how your wife leaves the home dirty like a thread I came across days ago. Her attitude towards chores may be worse once you guys get married or she gets pregnant. All her qualities you highlighted are good but not enough. A woman must be homely and a good home maker and cooking, doing dishes and house chores isn't left out. Whatever happened to breakfast like tea & bread, even Noddles? If she can't wash dishes for the both of you, what will happen when you have like two children, and you know kids eat intermittently? If you feel you can shoulder the responsibility of cooking and doing chores (which shouldn't be your primary duty) even in marriage, good for you, but know it's an abberation! You better sit her down and talk to her, if you embrace this nonsense attitude all in the name of my mama trained me to do chores, trust me you will get tired of it, especially in marriage! |
