Am from Anambra as you asked (Agulu town) and for the recent, I still reside in my hometown for a project.

The Anambra State I do see in nairaland is not the Anambra state am actually living in,I mean they are very much oecumenically apart.

There was attack on security personnel but the issue is just between the security forces and IPOB and not the mass.
I can boldly say this......."Anambra is calm"...but when it will not be calm for you is when you want yourself to be noticed".

There's this moniker in nairaland that most of post about Anambra is just to cause tension....... oyigboupdate. My state is cool but anything that tries to deviate it from the coolness is what do lead the tension itself.

As a resident of Nnewi in Anambra state, there's a little tension in the minds of the people but immediately markets opens, every other things na story and hearsay.
For example, here in Nnewi, nothing stops us from training at Nnewi high School and okpuno-eze axis likewise every other places.
The noise and buzz of the town always dwarfs the whole political Cases abound.

All the joint that sales everything in the evening always opens and closes at the right time.

It is only on Nairaland that the whole East is burning.

All this talk about Abakaliki vs Ado ekiti is a very big insult to Ai city.


Find another city to compare with Abakaliki.

S. East is more modern with the state of the art facilities than SW.

Abakaliki itself is a glorified village. When person comot Abakaliki, the poverty level outside the state capital is scary.

It was so hard for me to see a Yoruba man in abakaliki. I didn't see a single Yoruba man throughout my stay in Abakaliki and other part of the poverty ravage Ebonyi state.

Go Shagamu, Ijebu ode, ijebu Igbo, Abeokuta, Ota, Sango, magboro and other parts of Ogun state, you will see Igbos in large numbers.

Oga dustbin landlord ur area is very doom with dirty everywhere, in Abakaliki u feel like coming back.

This is a good architectural masterpiece but it is not helping the prevalance of the poverty of Ebonyi people especially the civil servants who are groaning under the financial crunch Dave Umahi is subjecting them to.

So what happens to the old government house along Ogoja Road? Instead of wasting mearger state resources, why not embark on projects that have meaningfully impact on the lives of the natives?

There's confusions everywhere even in Abuja, so what I think Dave is trying to do is to open all channels for massive development, he wants to open everywhere so that the next person can focus on other areas.
