spyder880:oga spyder pls what is the cost of this trip of granite |
nifemiayoade:PLS WHAT IS THE THICKNESS OF THIS FOUNDATION CAST |
No propaganda or fake news can cover all the recent corruption revelations. Maina, 26b and co. buhari is the highest thief in Nigeria. |
AntiWailer:believe me brother, those you liked your post are the ones who read the later part of your post. you were talking rubbish bro. |
Daeylar:to answer you just weak me. this world is just an irony. A fairytale. |
spyder880:nice, how about planting a similar structure in imo. how would you make out time knowing that you always on tight schedule. |
spyder880:I have started stocking up materials for my house, very similar to this one and also same size approximately 10380 by 18750. so far i have about 10k blocks, different sizes, my y16 rods are 100pcs, y12 rods 300pcs, granite stones 1 trailer of 3 trips already on site and i'm expecting another delivery of more stones. now my problem is that the architect i contracted my house to is really delaying my work. i would have used others but their charges were extremely too much so i settled for this guy that is delaying my job. i dont really want to rush him though so that i can have enough time to gather everything in place before my work commence. pls i'd like to know, what numbers of those rods were used in this your structure. and how many trips of stones, from foundation to roofing. i want to have an idea of how much more materials to get so as not to exceed the required quantity and have too many excesses. thanks. |
[quote author=spyder880 post=39763254]This house is small, total area is only 167.84 Sqm (10275 X 17850) The ground floor and upper floor rooms..........[/quote I have started stocking up materials for my house, very similar to this one and also same size approximately 10380 by 18750. so far i have about 10k blocks, different sizes, my y16 rods are 100pcs, y12 rods 300pcs, granite stones 1 trailer of 3 trips already on site and i'm expecting another delivery of more stones. now my problem is that the architect i contracted my house to is really delaying my work. i would have used others but their charges were extremely too much so i settled for this guy that is delaying my job. i dont really want to rush him though so that i can have enough time to gather everything in place before my work commence. pls i'd like to know, what numbers of those rods were used in this your structure. and how many trips of stones, from foundation to roofing. i want to have an idea of how much more materials to get so as not to exceed the required quantity and have too many excesses. thanks. |

Everfrank:I'm so much in love with this your gate, can you tell us the cost sir. thanks |
spyder880:oga spyder pls i need an update on this project |
spyder880:so have you finally abandoned this wonderful project? pls i need an update on this project sir. |
spyder880:thanks alot sir, the location is ideator north, imo state. a very strong solid ground. |
spyder880:great insight sir, just a little question to ask, i believe in your judgement much more than that of alot of other engineers. I initially wanted to build my duplex with the 6'' solid and hollow blocks due to space constraints but now i'm thinking of changing my mind to use the 9'' hollow blocks for the foundation and external walls of my down floor only (to give enough room for large pillars and columns), I intend to use my 6'' solid blocks for partitioning on the down floor too, while i use only my 6'' hollow blocks for all walls on my upper floor. pls i really need your advice on this. |
Chekitaut:imo state |
spyder880:mentor spyder, i have a plan to erect a 5 bedroom duplex on a small land of 50*80, i would have loved to use 9" hole on the entire ground floor but do to space constraint, it may not be possible. So i ask, will it be technically ok to use a 9" block for only foundation and then use 6" solid for demarcations on the ground floor and 6" hollow for the upper floor. thanks |
spyder880:i really appreciate your prompt response sir, i wonder how you manage to give attention to each of the questions thrown to you despite your tight schedule. pls sir, my last question is about iron rod storage. As a low income earner, it is alot easier for some of us to buy iron rods installmentally while getting ready to start a building project, but the challenge there is the rust. Does rust have any significant effect on the stability of a building. Like i explained earlier. It is almost impossible to stack the entire money for iron rods as the price may rise in response to the exchange rate. And i don't plan to build in batches, i intend to have all important materials but the roof down before starting the project. i hope you understand me sir. |
spyder880:Oga spyder, i started moulding my blocks for a 5 bedroom duplex 3MONTHS ago due to ur inspirations and to the glory of God i have over 6000pcs moulded and stacked, and will be up to 10,000pcs by november, i've also made arrangements for iron rods and stones. my question is, my dad is in charge of my work in the village and the initial sands i bought b4 coming to Lagos was the whitish sharp sand. I sent my kid brother home last week to get pictures of the ongoing work and i discovered the recent sand they used wasn't the whitish sharp sand but the usual local sharp sand. Pls is there any difference in the strength and stability of blocks moulded with these two types of sand because the size they are moulding now is the 6" solid i intend to use for foundation. meanwhile my dad said there is no difference in the two. pls what's your opinion about this. |
Chekitaut:what's the current price of granite sir |
spyder880:i see a wood covering between the block work and the actual lintel cast, is this the practice or did you do this for a reason. |
spyder880:is this a 16mm iron rod sir? |
and a new trend is born |
THIS IS MY PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA.... Two kids are born August 31st, 1980, one in Kano (Jubril) another in Enugu (Emeka). They go to primary school in those areas and get to Primary 6, now the twist begins. They both take Federal Common Entrance, Emeka scores 168/200 and Jubril 16/200. For some silly quota system, they both end up in the same class at Federal Government College, Enugu (FGCE). Emeka continues to come 1st-3rd in the class of 30 and Jubril 25-29th/30. 6 years later, WASCE and JAMB are taken. Emeka had 6As and 2Cs (WASCE) and 286/400 (JAMB) while Jubril had 5Cs and 2Ps and 106/400 in JAMB. Again by a warped and weird stroke they end up in the same Law Faculty in University of Nigeria, Enugu campus. 5years later Emeka graduates with 2-1 and Jibril with a Pass! Emeka is done with Law school at Abuja - No Job after NYSC. Jubril as soon as he gets out of Abuja Law school then one year NYSC gets a job as a Magistrate at the Federal Magistrate Court Abuja, 2 years later he is promoted as a Judge. Emeka still struggling, decides to join some Trio Igbo Law outfit in Abuja as a junior lawyer. 5 years later he is still carrying files and coming to defend low level cases at Jubril's court. Now, you are Emeka or Emeka's relative, kit and kin, will you want Nigeria to continue like this. No way! That's the problem with Nigeria as it is. It's strongly skewed to the advantage of a particular ethnic group in Nigeria and cannot continue. Plain and Simple!!!! Then one day Emeka finds his way to Canada or England, he immediately thrills them with his brilliance and in less than 5 years he becomes a full fledged Professor. That's what Nigeria is doing to the Igbos. My dear, I want Biafra. |
