Soludo wan finish una with propaganda. I lived in one of the lodges mentioned here and I still visit an acquaintance there from time to time, which puts me in the best position to debunk the claim of a free WiFi network installation. Truth is, there is a WiFi system installed there but IT IS NOT FOR FREE. There is a subscription fee you have to pay before using it and the thing rarely works. The name of the lodge is Novena lodge, Ifite Awka |

Truly, the devil lives amongst us in the form of human beings. Jonathan, like Obasanjo, was fair in the distribution of appointments. NPF is the principal law enforcement agency in Nigeria. If not because of persistent inefficiencies within the force and our penchant for duplicating offices, I don't see any reason why EFCC and NDLEA should be existing. The two aforementioned agencies can be argued to be specialists but the truth is that they are doing the job of the police. lagosrd: I think this is efcc job. Let efcc do the job now. Soludo is just branding everything in Anambra state with his "Solution" nonsense. Imagine a governor, a celebrated economist for that matter, going to commission such mini structure. The fleet of heavy and fuel hungry armored vehicles that followed him there... What a waste of scarce resources. These are the kind of things that should be left to LG chairmen, not a state governor. Well, I am not surprised. His government has been mediocre so far |

The funny thing is that whatever a Yoruba man accuses others of, he is usually the real culprit. They just have a way of projecting themselves on others. With the epidemic of ritual killings and skull mining currently ravaging South West, you still had the guts to call Anambra "the land of cannibalism". Talk about audacity and daftness. triple996: Land of cannibalism |

Most modern choppers have at least two gas turbine engines, not just one. It's just the main and tail rotor assemblies that have critical single points of failure. franchasng: My brother if you can, by all means avoid helicopter, it's not a safe means of travel honestly.
Aeroplane is far better and safer because helicopter uses single engine. I am a trained engineer, the principle upon which helicopter operates makes it unsafe compared to aeroplane |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Israel Kills At Least 21 In Strike On Christian Town In North Lebanon by Achoghim: 7:16pm On Oct 17, 2024 |
Tehran, the capital of Iran, even with the military might of the Iranian regime isn't safe for anyone. Israeli agents operate there like it is a suburb of Tel Aviv. I can count the number of VIPs that have been killed there by Mossad. Hezbollah, before the start of the current war, was touted as a formidable force that Israel won't dare to mess with. Today, virtually the entirety of its leadership has been wiped out by the IDF. It's not about brute military force, it is about alliance, strength of intelligence and leadership quality. That Israel is wiping the asses of Hamas and Hezbollah today isn't about the strength of its military only, it is mainly because of the capability of its intelligence network. The Iranian regime isn't even safe as we speak, Israel in conjunction with US already infiltrated its ranks. MadPolitician: These sort of humiliations will stiffen resolves around ordinary Arab people. Isreal will win these battles, but I'm not sure this will guarantee a safe Jewish homeland for Isrealis in the future.
It was the Iran vs Iraq wars and the US invasion of iraq, that led the mullahs in Iran to heavily modernise their military. Today, America thinks twice before engaging Iran.
Many Arab groups might follow that route after these flamboyant military displays and annihilation by the Isreali army, and that will ultimately change the dynamics of the middle east conflicts in the future. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Hussein Suhail killed In Israeli Air Strike by Achoghim: 10:30pm On Oct 08, 2024 |
The support for Hamas in Gaza is waning, same with Hezbollah in Lebanon. Majority of Gazans are now questioning the rationality of the October 7 attack which brought them nothing but extreme suffering. Also, most Lebanese aren't happy with Hezbollah for bringing the Israeli war machine to their doorsteps. After this war, a lot is going to change in Gaza and Lebanon. There's nothing like ideology when the people are truly fed up Svoboda: Hezbollah is an ideology. It can't die. No matter the targeted assassinations of its echelon. Hezbollah still possesses the capabilities to strike deep in Israel and inflict significant harm.
Hamas capacity is about 20 percent of Hezbollah but has survived 13 months of unrelenting and unprecedented aerial bombardment. Yet, Hamas still sends rockets into Israel. Israel hasn't been able to decimate Hamas and rescue hostages. The war on Gaza is considered a failure from the context of destroying Hamas as an objective. How much more battle hardened Hezbollah.
In 2006, Israel was defeated in southern Lebanon. 2024 will be a repeat. |

You always bring up this watery, baseless and self defeating "Ibadan is an ancient city" argument as if it is more ancient than New York, Rome, London, Damascus, Tyre (Lebanon), Cairo and Jerusalem. Yet these aforementioned cities (some in volatile and wartorn countries) no matter their centuries old history still look modern today. Even in Nigeria, similar ancient cities like Kano and Benin city aren't this ugly looking. Omoawoke: You are trying to communicate to people that were probably living on trees in 1970… everything to them is bitterness and hatred and they cannot reason with you
Having an ancient city is not new in any part of the world.
I was in Boston recently, they have some ancient buildings people are still living there till date. Buildings of over 100 years old.
This is Dorchester in Boston, 1911 vs 2024 |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Israel’s Defense Minister To Travel To US As Part Of Preparations To Strike Iran by Achoghim: 7:11pm On Oct 07, 2024 |
Saying that Iran can singlehandedly fight Israel is such a stupid and thoughtless thing to say. Iran heads an alliance called the Axis of resistance, through which it has been indirectly throwing punches at Israel. The Syrian regime, Houthis in Yemen, IRI in Iraq, Hamas in Gaza and West bank and Hezbollah in Yemen. If it is just Iran alone, Israel would have sent the Mullahs to hell. God1000: Lol, such wishful thinking
Iran can equally do the same, they have demonstrated that, and who knows whether they already have nuclear bomb
The difference between Iran and Israel is clear, Iran can fight israel singlehandedly, but israel cannot even fight common hamas and Hezbollah without US support and weapons |
