anyway am going ttc without clomid this cycle, i hope it goes well with me cos i was too scared of the hyper stimulation i had last cycle. am on Cd5 today,

pls has anyone used clomid and what was the outcome?

I used clomid and a fibroid of 25mm doubled in size to 42mm just withing 2 cycle of clomid which i think is a bad decision to enlarge fibroids just like that.

my gyn seems to believe somuch in d clomid but am no longer comfortable with it. My Question is , who knows any other fertility drug that can be used aside clomid, i heard metrofin but not sure if its available in nigeria.

what are your take on the chinese tea and fertilaid??

lastly , does anyone use PREDICT cos it seems not 2 b showing me any positive mark even while on clomid.

so far hav been on clomid, this is cycle 2, scan shows persisting follicle cos i was havin pains on my left ovary, up till these moment the pain is still there. gyn gave pain reliever but a friend said he was suppose to shrink it @ 3omm by 12mm.

opk's does not give result for the last 2 cycle on clomid wc i use cd 2 to cd 7.
what could be the cause, also scan indicate the fibroids are getting bigger.

How long is safe using clomid and fibroid, cos it was about 29mm maximum b4 clomid but now withing 2cycle clomid its measuring 42mm.

am thinking of stoping the clomid , am scared of the fibroid brnging more issues for me and am anxious to get preg. was 36yrs 2 wks ago.

My gyn put me on clomid 100mg for the past 2 cycles on cd 2 to cd7, second month gave persistent follicle/ ovey stimulation wc is giving me pain on my left ovary.i was told by a friend that he is suppose 2 give me something 2 shrink it cos its 30mm by 12mm but he only gave pain reliever that it will go naturally.

how long is best to be on clomid, cos the scan also indicates that the fibroids are getting bigger?
and by the way all the opk's am using dint work with the clomid so i dont know why but guess i ovulate with the help of cervical mucus.

i pray i get preg fast, age is not on my side was 36 some weeks ago,

LH 5.0, NORMAL RANGE IS 1.6 TO 9.6
FSH 3.8 NORMAL IS 3.3 TO 12.9
PROLACTIN 283 NORML IS 78 TO 455
PROGESTERONE 30.7 NORMAL IS > 14.3.

@ uteh, a friend of mine works @ fmc abeokuta and she says its cost about 50 to 70k for fibroid removal. Also she said they are not good with laser in nigeria , a lady that did laser @ ibadan teachin hospital still came back to do normal operation. I advice u use federal medical center like railway hospital in lagos. They are good but time consumin, u get about 4 specialist opinion b4 they eventually do it if u hav to.

@ kathy, thanks doc. So what is d next step. The gyn said 2.9cm fibroid is not an issue for now . All i should do is hav regular intercourse and see how it goes wit gettin pregnant. Am going back to the gym to loose some weight and then use some fertility blends. I pray God helps me.

Am getting married in 3mths time but too anxious cos i have a long time history of irregular period, gyn gave me contaceptive 4 correction and it lead 2 missed period for a yrs.
later when it came , it became iirregular bleeding, placed on primolut N wc i still use up 2 date.
recently it spots for about a week and later flow for a week.


I stay in port Harcourt, hubby is in Lagos, we see once a month or twice at most.

Does anyone in d house knows a good gyn in PH, pls help. uniport is too far, and office will not give time for public hospital.it has 2 b a private clinic i can go after work.

Uterus:A bulky , irregular outline and non gravid uterus with heterogenous myometrial echopattern.
Multiple >4 echoperic masses are noted in the uterus
- masses 1 (29mm * 32mm) and 2(25 mm by 22mm) are located in the mid and upper anteriorvrespectively.
-mases 3 (22by 20mm) and 4 (23 by 21mm) are located on the posterior uterine wall.

Endometrine is distorted in outline.
Adnexea: nothing remarkable.
Cul-de-sac: free
IMPRESSION: Uterine Fibroid
HSG is adviced.

i asked a question almost 2yrs ago on page 2 of the thread about hormonal imbalance leading to irregular period and uterine bleeding that wont stop unless i use Primolut , your advise was to loose some weight which worked miracle after 6wks of 5kg less.

Due to work and school am unable to continue with the regular exercise thereby been on and off regular periods,
my question now is

1.      am about to get married , do i tell my fiance about my hormonal profile issue or i should just go ahead and sort    it out with a gyn on my own.

2.     Apart from the CLOMID stuffs, what other stuffs like vitamins does one need to take cos i really want to start a family first quarter of 2010. have waited so long for this.

they call them self FORTHRIGHT. have been using them for like 8yrs while doing long term.
but my account officer moved to equity capital and i dont want to move so they gave me a lady who is too slow for my liking. but the girl said its the fault of the guy going to the floor.
