Here is the completed Kuramo beach tower. This one is strange because they built in right next to Eko Atlantic but decided to stay in Ikoyi.

And you are one of the people with inside knowledge especially based on your inside knowledge gossip, baseless gist and pami joint rubbish.

Are you so jobless and have nothing better to do than your usual ipob rubbish?
Eko Atlantic is not at tribal issue. Is there anything that compares to this project in the whole of West Africa?

Here is the now completed blue water tower in Ikoyi. They plan to build 5 more towers.

If this was America, citizens would be asking questions and pushing development forward, but you stagnant Nigerian just sit back like deaf mumu. When was the last time the government even mentioned this project? But when I ask reasonable questions I'm "attacking" Eko Atlantic.

I talk am. You are already revealing your true intentions, with your conspiracy theories. Your true intention is to bash the project. Go ahead and knock yourself out, bwoy.
I support Eko Atlantic more than you. Do you even know the name of one building there? Are you subscribed to their Facebook or YouTube? Have you inquired about buying an apartment there, like I have? You Nigerians are too emotional. You can't even calm down and let someone ask questions without getting defensive.

The problem of contractors making more money from delayed project I guess and the Eko Atlantic stuff my guess is maybe cuz it's a sand filled typa topography and the fear of water one day turning ur investment in shambles

my guess actually no hard feeling
With sand you have to building a piling foundation -- this is what they did in Dubai. Maybe this more expensive than building on solid ground.

And you expect to get those answers on Nairaland, how??
There are people with inside knowledge. Right now, I suspect some of the land may be seized by the EFCC over corruption. The developers could also be purposely restricting building there to jack up prices, it could be a forex issue, etc. There are some smart people on Nairaland who will know what is going wrong.

OritoJasi:
You have a very anti-Lagos/anti-Nigeria track record on this forum so definitely your intentions aren't genuine. But if truly you want answers to your questions, you know where to get them, and it certainly won't be here on Nairaland. Not unless you intend to turn the thread into another bashfest of the Eko Atlantic project, like you've done in the past.
My intentions are genuine. Eko Atlantic is the only thing i'm proud of in Nigeria, and I want to see it build up so we can put all the other African countries to shame.
PropertiesRe: Why Is Eko Atlantic Development So Slow? by Aconomist(op): 11:06pm On Feb 06, 2021
OritoJasi:
Why don't you go and ask the developers of the project?
Developers usually won't reveal this sort of information.

Here is the progress on Folorunsho's Famfa Tower. They say it will be the most expensive building in West Africa. Why do you think she decided to build in Ikoyi instead of Eko Atlantic, which was custom-designed for such high-profile projects?

PropertiesWhy Is Eko Atlantic Development So Slow? by Aconomist(op): 10:58pm On Feb 06, 2021
Skyscrapers are sprouting up all over Ikoyi and Lekki, so why are developers choosing not to build in Eko Atlantic? The whole area should be build up by now. What is going wrong?

The following images are of new skyscrapers going up in Ikoyi. These include the completed Bordillon Tower, Uncompleted Famfa Oil Tower and, the Cuddle by Cadwell. These buildings would have been enough to bring Eko Atlantic to life. What is going wrong?

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Must Leave OPEC And Boost Production by Aconomist(op): 6:00pm On Feb 05, 2021
Vaughanlanrewaj:
A lot. In economics, lower price lead to increase demand ceteris paribus. Saudi has perhaps the least unit cost of production in the world and far greater deposit than Nigeria so their crude can be supplied at cheaper price frustrating small suppliers like us. The cartellizatiin by forming OPEC is to get firm commitment from the biggest players like Saudi Arabia to help countries like Nigeria.
Russia alone can flood the market with very cheap oil let alone Saudi or US. There was a time most vessels that lifted crude from Nigeria stayed for months with no willing buyers because cheap oil was coming from Libya, Russia and Saudi. It took the intervention of OPEC to save us from serious economic disaster.

Membership of OPEC may have its disadvantage but if we desire to go alone, our production cost and quantity may not make our oil competitive and we may struggle to make sales. Quota is to ensure that you modulate the price so you won't oversupply and kill price.

These are some of the things you obviously need to calm down and study to understand instead of lampooning your race or nationality. This is international trade and in international trade, most times, it is dog eat dog and not the fault of your citizens.
That is why we need to pass the PIB bill to bring in more investments so that cost of production can be more competitive.
Understood. Thanks for enlightening me.

Vaughanlanrewaj:
So you compare Nigeria's production to that of Saudi in terms of quantity and cost of production?

Please kindly read up on these things before talking down on people who include your parents who sent you to school to get educated and your ancestors who led the way for you.

I think for now, just leave these kinds of technical issues and focus on your education. OPEC membership is not responsible for the rot in our oil and gas industry that killed our refineries or the foot-dragging in the PIB bill or oil subsidy mismanagement and the membership of OPEC didn't stop Dangote from building the largest refinery in the world.
Nigeria could easily ramp up production because most of the drilling is done my multinationals not the NNPC. The government has repeatedly requested to have its limit of roughly 1.4 millions BPD lifted, but OPEC always says no. What does quality and cost of production have to do with anything? Nigerians are great apes for staying with OPEC.

PoliticsNigeria Must Leave OPEC And Boost Production by Aconomist(op): 1:57am On Feb 05, 2021
Nigeria's membership in OPEC is the stupidest thing ever. We submit to strict production quotas meanwhile Saudi Arabia floods the market whenever they please. Why are Africans so dumb and unable to think for ourselves? Nigeria's membership in OPEC has no benefits for the country.

Oil will be useless by 2030 -- we should be ramping up production before the price crashes for good.

PoliticsConstruction Starts On $2 Billion Cargo Airport In Anambra by Aconomist(op): 12:38am On Feb 05, 2021
All financing is done through a Chinese investment group called Elite International Investments who will own 70% equity. Cletus Ibeto and other Igbo executives under Orient Petroleum will have a 25%, and the government of Anambra will have a 5% stake in the project. This airport will facilitate import and exports from the South East without reliance on the port in Lagos.

Who are the Yansakai and why are the killing the Fulanis?
The Yansakai are Hausa vigilante groups that have formed to defend their villages from Fulani attack.

Why are you so concerned with foreigners. White people will never like or respect blacks. It doesn't matter if you act as an angel.

Yoruba should know better than to bite the hand that feeds them. Tinubu's campaign is dead in the water. The Nigerian deep state has already selected Atiku to safeguard the interest of the ruling elite. Yoruba must learn their place instead of promoting genocidal actions against Nigeria's chosen tribe.
