Why don't they build Calabar to Lagos before linking Lagos with Kano? |
leisuretym:The rail will be used to import core Fulanis into the SW. |
SocialJustice:You are just another educated illiterate: 10 certificates and 0 common sense. How much is Dangote paying you to defend the indefensible? Why shouldn't I talk down to a nation full of illiterates and monkeys? While every other county is moving forward, Nigerians are stuck on hero worship and stupidity. You suck the butts of your oppressor's than you are surprised when your country is a complete zoo. Wetin you dey lose if I hold Dangote accountable for his destructive monopoly? The man is literally bribing the Nigerian government for special concessions, you dumbass Nigerian ape. |
descarado:Baboon. Is China not breaking up Alibaba for monopoly? Is the United States not trying to break up Google and Facebook for monopoly? Other countries are not full of suffering and smiling monkeys like Nigerians who make excuses for every disfunction. |
Katlyst:That would be better because it would create a natural incentive for domestic production. Right now we are trapped in a hopeless situation because of government intervention. Other African countries have dozens of cement companies competing with each other to provide the lowest price, Nigerians are stuck with Dangote controlling 70% of the market because the government gave him a monopoly in the name of "import substitution". Now, they are moving to do the same thing in sugar, tomato paste and oil refining. The country is dying... |
ChimaAdeoye:Please don't tribalize this post. While I don't necessarily disagree with you, we need to focus on the economics, so the point can reach everyone. Fulanis are not the only ones looting Nigeria. Obasanjo gave Dangote his monopoly. |
The construction industry represents 10% of Nigeria's GDP and is a massive source of employment. However, the industry is growing at an unacceptably low rate because of the exorbitant price of cement and lack of real competition in the industry. Nigerians pay the highest cement prices anywhere on earth, and the blame falls on one man: Alhaji Aliko Dangote. Dangote Cement is a criminal monopoly that must be broken up to save Nigeria from economic collapse. According to his 2019 financial report, Dangote enjoys a 59% EBITDA margin on cement sales in Nigeria, compared to 17% elsewhere in Africa. That means, for every $100 in cement he sells he is making roughly $60 in profit. These extreme cement prices are leading to higher costs of housing, joblessness, inflation, and poverty. One man is impoverishing a country of 200 million people, and nothing is being done to stop him. We should be protesting. Dangote is worse than SARS. Mynd44, put this on the front page. Link to Dangote's annual report: https://www.dangotecement.com/wp-content/uploads/reports/2020/FY2019/DangoteCement_FY2019_ResultsPresentation.pdf
|
SocialJustice:Regardless of the semantics, Dangote Cement wouldn't be allowed to operate the way he does in any modern country. It would be categorized as either a monopoly or collusion because real competition would have lowered prices. In his 2019 financial report Dangote Cement reports a 59% EBITDA margin in Nigeria compared to 17% in the rest of Africa and a global industry average of around 5-12%. Here is the link pg 7 : https://www.dangotecement.com/wp-content/uploads/reports/2020/FY2019/DangoteCement_FY2019_ResultsPresentation.pdf If you are not familiar with the term, EBITDA refers to cash profits before tax. So, for every $100 in cement Dangote sells he makes $60 in EBITDA profit. I have never seen a worse example of state capture anywhere on earth -- or a population of baboons so eager to defend an open financial crime against their best interests.

SocialJustice:I am an economic analyst in the United States. Do you think I lack money? It's not about jealousy. I want Nigeria to improve, and Dangote's monopolistic behavior is a big hinderance to the economy. Also, you are the same nigger-areans who get mad when people abroad ignore your calls begging for money every day. Now you want to form authority on the internet. This is why I say, most Nigerians are monkeys who worship their oppressors and deserved to be oppressed. Continue suffering and smiling. |
10mobile:Monkeys like you create a nice enabling environment for crooks like Dangote to exploit Nigeria. Does he pay you to defend him, hero worshiper? |
Stop slandering the North. Bornu is peaceful. |
Two weeks ago, Nigeria's 409 billionaire, Aliko Dangote, promised that his fertilizer plant would be complete in December. Here is the link: https://nairametrics.com/2020/11/04/dangote-groups-2-billion-fertilizer-plant-to-start-operations-in-december-2020/ December has come and past, and there is no production. Earlier, the criminal monopolist said the plant would be operational in May. Another filthy lie: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/03/dangote-to-open-worlds-biggest-fertilizer-plant-in-may/ Dangote is clearly involved in some kind of fraud here. This is an attempt to extract concessions from the government. What could Nigeria's richest crook be planning? |
What is the meaning of this staff carried by some Efik women?
|
What is it called and what is the meaning?

Most of Banana Island and Eko Atlantic is still vacant, but Nigeria property developers have already started landfilling another estate in Lagos. This one is called Banana Island. Core landfilling is complete, and they have begun road construction. The first satellite image shows an overview of Lagos Island. The second image is a zoomed view of the Orange island project.
|
Keketu:I believe it is from $1,000 to $2,000 per square meter. That's quite affordable considering the quality of the infrastructure there. The land is zoned for multi-story construction only. |
although, I am not Igbo, I am proud of my Igbo brothers. Don't be a coward like those monkeys in the North who allow Fulani Janjaweep to enslave and massacre them for centuries. |
jesmond3945:Please bring it up. I would like to see. |
OruExpress:It was weekly. $600 times 4 is equal to $2400 in bonus unemployment per month. That's more than enough money for someone who isn't even working. Also, the core unemployment pays you a portion of your missing wages so some people were getting up to $3800 to $4,000 monthly to sit at home and do nothing. If you couldn't manage with that, the problem is you. |
jesmond3945:I live in the United States. |
jesmond3945:It's 2020 and Nigeria doesn't have stable electricity. I can't even blame the government anymore. Do you think whites would tolerate such a nonsense situation without revolution? Never. Black people have a suffer and smiling mentality where you tolerate unbearable levels of nonsense, and that's why the whole world came to Africa to find slaves. |
jesmond3945:I'm not talking about myself. I'm talking about other Nigerians. You people have failed me. But that doesn't lower my personal self-esteem because if every Nigerian had a mind like me, the country would be better than Switzerland. But you Nigerians are too weak, corrupt and disorganized. |
Nigger-areans don't understand maintenance. I'm surprised the elevator is still running since 1965 in this monkey zoo of a country. |
More images of Eko Atlantic gate. Nigger-areans highlighted in blue. Maybe the developers are scared that the nigger-aeans will sneak into the area to steal something?
|
Fortune109:I agree. Eko Atlantic advertises itself as a city. How can you have a city with a gate preventing people from entering? |
illicit:Dying. |
jesmond3945:I'm not like the rest of you Africans. I have a brain. |
nthony10:delete. |
OruExpress:$600 is for employed people. Unemployed people were getting up to $4,000 monthly for most of 2020. |
OruExpress:An additional $2,000 is coming. The democrats won the senate last night. Also, remember they gave us $1,200 earlier in the year. So that would be a combined stimulus of $3,800 -- which is not bad at all. Enjoy Buhari. |
StaffofOrayan:Exactly, these terrorist monkeys in the shahel are basically inviting Western armies back into Africa. If you look at a map, Nigeria is already surrounded by French armies in Niger, Cameroon an Ivory Coast. The American have a drone base in Niger that can strike any target in West Africa. |
