Should've taken a pic and sent it to our clueless media. Their caption would've read, "Army tank transported toward Zim border!"
Like the article which talks about the Durban Metro buying Casspirs but the posted pictures of Namibian Wer'wolf MRAPS with their colour patterns.

The general media is clueless about defence issues and proceed in feeding wrong information to the clueless public.

Personal expense is more than salary.

How much do you think it cost to feed 100000 people, what about manta cents on buildings, medicine all so costs money, then are the cost of manta certain to buildings, electrical bills extra extra. It all adds up.

Then you have cost of conducting operations, you need fuel, spare parts, ammo, spare uniforms, lots of small items like binoculars Witch a good pair costs 200usd and a mill spec costs 400usd, what about batteries to your radios. So I suggest you put more thought in.
Don't answer Augustine, you're fueling him

There's plenty of fake news currently circulating, including a possible Zambian military intervention to aid Mugabe. As I said, fake news circulating.

Come on Patch, some other things are just..... you know right? Things like:

- Wanting to live on Mars
- Surfing on shark-infested waters
- Diving from space

as Trevor Noah once said, Africans (blacks) are just not there, that's rather extreme for us, we'll just live it over to you grin

OK any latest news on our beloved neighbor? My news feeds are showing me interplanetary news, DARPA robots and Tesla grin

Say what now?
First time I went to Tiffindell Ski Resort as a university student, my then girlfriend (black Saffer) had to endure an entire week-end of embarrassing looks cast towards this white boy falling on his arse on skis. My only redemption is that I could snowboard, though not as well as the (black) kids from the surrounding villages.
Come on Frum, you know those are very unique black people, the rest are watching the whole shebang from the windows.... I went ice skating 3 weeks ago for the first time in my life, just a few kilometers away from the Black Hawk you and GreenandGold kept talking about? Do you know what? White kids were skating like pros and let's not even talk about what I and the other darkies did.

grin

BTW, I'll be sharing the latest on Bob... I'm actually right, my assessment might hold water.

At least you dont need a visa to go see snow
You won't believe that I have not seen snow since 93 at my cousin's place far from where I live, I was very young. Just remember fluffy things coming down the sky and white rooftops and you know black parents right? They wouldn't let you out... As for not needing visa to see snow, I'll simply say you have no idea what it would take to get a black guy to be in snow. You may probably need girls and beer on the snow to get black guys somehow interested in actually getting there.

If you see South African snow pics, you'll actually see white parents and their kids playing on it. Black parents and their kids would be burning the coal inside their houses, they ain't coming out grin

I can't say more, but you're wrong. A clue: Mnangagwa flew from SA to a Zim Air Force Base yesterday; SA govt approval is required to file a flight plan which terminates in a military base. Only thing being negotiated is the modalities of Mugabe's stepping down without breaching the Zim Constitution, SADC/AU precepts and the timeline for a transition to free and fair elections.
Happening right now and PICS: SA MinDef, SA MinSS and SANDF DI Chief convened a meeting between Mugabe, ZDF Chief Chiwenga, Zim MinDef and others.
Of course, my assignment was purely on the information I had of Bob not budging... Anyways, personally I would have pulled off that stunt. grin

See, Mugabe is not out yet... In fact, he might be winning. This is why:

- The vice-president (Mnagwagwa) and the military need the blessing of Mugabe to avoid their takeover being called a coup and Robert knows it.

- He can prolong or stall the negotiations, he knows that his family is safe.

- Him prolonging the negotiations slows down the military/Mnagwagwa momentum and adds some frustration

- Him prolonging the negotiations buys him time for his team to actually strike back

- He would want to exploit all SADC/AU laws that would keep him in power for the duration of his term

- He might actually get support from Zuma who may want to use soft diplomacy to soften or frustrate the military/Mnagwagwa alliance

Right now, Mugabe has them at equilibrium, he can walk out of his house if he wished, the world is watching and no one would like to kill a sitting president and walk away with it.

You all should take note that during the Gambia invasion, an election was conducted and Barrow won.

2) Yahyha Jammeh took the case to the court and lost.

3) He refused to step down but ECOWAS didn't say anything.

3) ECOWAS then asked him to step down calling a meeting as the court already affirmed Barrow the president in which series of meeting were called.

4) ECOWAS WENT TO uphold the constitutional rights of the Gambia people.

If SADC will interfere, it's not something that will be happening now. We all knew how much time it took ecowas to finally decide on Jammeh.
Exactly the point.

Unless the Zim military decides to make their hold on power permanent and start breaking UN human rights laws then they would have openly invited an external internvation.

As it stands it's just internal affairs.

You constantly beg to be taken seriously - "I am a military analyst", "I am a spy" (Posts photos of "spy uniform" and "gun"wink "I work with top USAF fighter pilots" - examples of your prior infantile ramblings. The ramblings of a sad little man, whos stutter has given him an inferiority complex which he desperately tries to compensate for online.

Now you come and write a fvking wall of text - desperately trying to, well, I dont know what you are trying to do. You see Augustine, you have lost all credibility. No one gives a single flying-fvck about your opinion - look at the responses you get, people dont engage. They just poke fun at you.

Its hard not to, when someone makes the argument that one country should invade another - without any legal justification to do so - so that they may show how "tough they are".

That is quite literally how a childs mind works.
This guy here is Augustine Oso Ebosele, he was deported in Zambia. He made claims that he was a pastor/prophet/investor... This could be the very Augustine who claims to be in the USAF or spy/military researcher.

But, god, if Dlamini-Zuma wins, I reckon thats it. Curtains for RSA.
If Dlamini-Zuma wins, I will personally sell my belongings and jump ship from Satafrika grin

But I have hope in private sector South Africa, they'll always find ways to detach from South African current affairs eg the building of private cities like Styne City and Waterfall City.... You'll simply move to the west coast and build a series of private cities there and probably create a private government system based on economic efficiency with mini defence capabilities. You could literally ditch the Rand and trade with crypto currencies and the dollar. The ANC and it's supporters seem to be clueless about that part of the country so you could literally pull off.

Zuma ready to step down as president of ANC, not president of the country.
They'll eventually want to recall him from parliament like he did with Mbek. They know they can't leave Zuma in power after they defeat him and his former wife in party elections. He'll immediately reshuffle parliament, intelligence, sign a nuclear deal with the Russians and prolong his stay to avoid going on trial for his 700+ charges.

The only thing South Africa should be doing right now is adding more troops on the border, the county could get flooded with people trying to leave Zim.

zuma says he talked with mugabe ,who said he is being confined to his residence but fine.does that imply we may see SADC military intervene in Zimbabwe !?
There won't be any. Botswana won't fight for what they'll perceive as protecting the Mugabe dynasty, South African parliament won't approve troop deployment for Zimbabwe. Zuma would be in a weakened political position in the ANC in few weeks from now. They may want to recall him to resign in the Presidency like did with Thabo Mbeki after the December party election.

Technically, Zuma and Mugabe are in similar position of loosing power in the region.

So no Rooivalk and Rooikat photos in Zim I'm afraid wink

Actually I'm surprised they use tracked APCs and I see some are amphibious as well, I wonder what their doctrine is. Then you got reputable news agencies calling them tanks.

New "mobility packages" for SANDF border patrol.

"Apart from Joint Operations, input for development was supplied by the Logistics and Signals formations as well as the SA Military Health Service (SAMHS) and the defence, peace, safety and security division of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The national research and development organisation was involved in the development of the roll cage and improving stability to make it more user friendly in the tough off-road conditions of border protection"

I'll be seeing plenty of those in my part of the country. Much better than the white bakkies they previously used.
