I was told"some"SOUTHIE men were lazy and idle, and worst of it, their women were better off at handling certain difficult task than them. And i thought it wasn't true, but seeing some 'em men,on nairaland argue till they're worn out like hell,i must say it's fnck'n true.In africa,Real Men are of few words, state your point, and fnck off, leave the long talk for em ladies.

Dear Southies, grow some balls nd stop arguing like WOMEN.
Life is blissful down South, we became Africa's most advanced economy by idling around.. grin

while taking cover How many years is left of the lifespan of the Drak. is there a planned replacement?
Honestly not much years, it's a very old ship. Honestly I don't think there's gonna be a replacement. The navy has to fund an acquisition of 7 new ships within the next 3 years (in 3 platforms) so I don't see it being prioritised.

( the ship was built as a deepstick measure into South Africa's ship building capabilities while under arms embargo, next stop was to build (a) frigate(s))

I'm a south african, did you see me mock or whine about pictures posted by other members?

Please stop being childish, direct your anger at the person who offended you.
There's many more South Africans who don't say anything, MikeCZA, Mech61 and gees9 hardly say anything. GreenandGold and Hrmm only post pictures.

So yeah he's exposing his true colours when he says "all you Southafricans".

This post alone confirms you're a paid up member of the vast South African/racist conspiracy!
How dare you so blatantly expose our super secret society?
Sorry man, I'm suffering from self-esteem issues grin

more like self-esteem issues with the South Africans. grin It's as if they believe Nigerians are arrogant and feel better than other Africans. However, you'd be mistaken if you take this to mean that they, Southese, care about these Africans, which they feel Nigerians lord it over. They are worried that Nigerians may start to truly believe that they are indeed better than other Africans and then, in a process of self-fulfilment, actually become better including South Africa. So they are here to nip all that in the bud.

Possibly the irritation you're feeling is the inherent paternalism in all this. Those visages of Colonialism in which the Colonials had the temerity to assume that they are above the Natives by an order of magnitude so vast that it justified them being able to determine what the Natives are and how the Natives should see themselves.
In the military scheme of things, I always find it strange that the "colonisers" like France and Britain are always back in Africa to teach African armies simple things like marksmanship (proper use of a rifle), basic tactics and all.

It is therefore strange that you don't accuse them of racism and superiority like you do when we point out those very things from the South.

Don't worry, that's a decoy. The real assault is hidden in some classified location wink

Yes Henry the proven cowardly liar is the font of all wisdom!!! Should bad military practice not be remarked upon because an auditor quoted a facebook PR caption? So if Henry the Cowardly Liar quoted a newspaper publication saying the Tucano is a fighter jet, we should all just shut up?
Or realistically, as happened here, he posts a video and claims its paratroppers being dropped behind BH lines -when the reality is a ceremony where they were graduating from Para school - and refuses to amend the caption despite all the evidence because "that's the original caption"?

This is your lodestar?
I'm disappointed. I really thought you were a mensch Jake.
Don't forget he also claimed the ARA was the best MRAP in the world which could withstand a 23mm cannon.

Unrelated, the SAPS TRT on riot control

My fellow Saffers:
I won't be able to log in tonight at the usual super secret place so we can implement our plan to attack the next attack target on the very crucial Nairaland thread.
Seeing the plan has already been agreed to, I hope you won't miss my input.
I shall join though, once the op is underway.
Regards

Frumentius (should I have used my super secret nom de guerre)
You'll find us on our agreed assault position, the assault is going full scale.

@active kruger hey id@t can you see any feature that indicate that's a road, which your b@tch about.if you don't know anything about the sahara. stop your shenanigan
You still haven't answered my questions. You haven't given me the difference between a mine and an IED. The estimated spacing between those vehicles and mostly a blast radius of a common IED..

All you do is to throw insults like you somehow suffer from internal pains. Who knows, it could be that time of the month......

Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by ActivateKruger: 9:44am On Nov 07, 2017
newafricaken254:
this b@tch a$$ N thinks he knows it all.f ool can't even see those vehicle are spaced except two two that are parallel.littered with IED my a@@,do you think IED are mines !?
This guy... What's an IED? Can't it be planted on the road like a mime? Doesn't it explode like a mine? Doesn't it have an explosion radius like a mine?

So tell me, what's the overage spacing between these vehicles in metres.? Then what would be a kill range of a counter-MRAP IED filled with sharpened metals?

Answer my questions or enjoy being ignored.

It's a desert highway you idi#t, that's the very desert road that's littered with IEDs. Of course I don't think you understand what spacing we're talking about.

Nok234:
Didnt knew that but even if so the Mi-17 kill it
The Mi-17 is a better helicopter and you don't have to deal with the Yanks... Also, should you have a problem with any Mi-17, you can drop off a quotation request at many fixing points including Denel Aviation (which is a certified Mi-17 "fixing" centre).

**on a thought, I wonder who came up with the idea to take an impounded Huey and give it NAF colours. It seems like someone forgot the US policies towards the Nigerian military. Don't ever break a thing on it because Uncle Sam won't be giving away spares.

I am talking about number and ease maintenance. The same platform is better than many.
Yes sir, that's how it should be done.

1 heavy-lift platform (if needed)
1 medium-lift platform
1 light-lift platform
1 maritime platform
1 specialised platform (totally optional)

You can't go wrong.

Nok234:
Not a bad idea, but better if we standerdize the EC-135 will be a better choice
The Huey = medium lift
EC-135 = light lift

The two platforms can't be compared.

What VIP? This is Triple VIP. You should have seen Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki being transported by the SAAF, they sat on those Spartan Orxy seats grin

Minusma on the road between Gao and Kidal.

After reading the above, 1st question that came to me was "why is their convoy spacing so poor"?
Because what is basic logic in South Africa is not basic logic in other countries. This is when you realise why the British and the Americans are always teaching some African armies basic combat skills.
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by ActivateKruger:
This the IAI Nesherof the Argentine Air Force, it's a Mirage 5 convention. I didn't know until tonight that the SAAF received 5 of them from the Israelis that were converted into Cheetahs - interesting, but what's more interesting is that Paramount Group has sourced Mirage 5s which were originally designed for the Israelis.

true, the former apartheid regime wasn't able to miniaturized its nuclear bomb to be of any use in warfare
Apartheid SA was a UN sanctioned isolated country. There were high levels of secrecy surrounding the defense industry and nukes that I don't think any modern open country can pull. If you'd know, there were times when Russia sat with the US and proposed a strike on a suspected site and it is alleged an SR-71 was flown over South Africa to confirm the Russian findings..... Luckily for the regime, it had friends in the higher places who immediately alerted them and the site was abandoned.

In case you didn't know, we have uranium, a nuclear research facility (Pelindaba) and a nuclear power station BUT the world doesn't allow us to build the "Yellowcake", that's off the table for anyone who's not the US, Russia, China, Japan, Germany and France.

If you want to be like Iran and North Korea then go on and enjoy your isolation with constant bombardment from the world powers of the day.
