Russia has many different nuclear power plant sizes and specs. A new export model low price nuclear plant has been designed, and some ex-USSR states with medium economic GDP are buying it. Nigeria is going for affordable model built for medium GDP nations. RSA likes to bite more meat than it's small mouth can chew, thats why Southies always choke on food. Nigeria is smarter, we cut our coat like the size of our cloth, noth like RSA that wants to use handkerchief to make parachute.

A 9400MW nuclear power program is expected to cost US$80 bn (mind you, we already have the experience and some decades old research in nuclear tech) then what are you gonna build with US20 bn? A 2500MW plant? In that case, build hydro power plants for less and get more power because you do have plenty of water on your southern states.

Doing a deal with Putin is suicide. It's likely to cost more than the $20 billion, how do I know? South Africa is trying to raise funds for a single nuclear power station and it's estimated at $80 billion..... But of course we don't want it as it's expected that the Russians will be bidding as well and they already have a cosy relationship with Zuma.

Do you see the difference between the US and Egypt? The Yanks don't blow up their own citizens in their own country... Meanwhile the Egyptian government blows people up and claim they're terrorists. Even Apartheid intelligence (oh God I didn't have to make this example) arrested people they believe were "terrorists" and gave them a date at the court with advocates. Why do peeps on here like blowing things out of proportion. Some nation including mine have dedicated satellites for communication both civil and military. A Nigerian satelite provided the first pictures of Hurricane Katrina disaster within the coast of the USA, one of the most Technically advanced nation in cyber warfare and till today no Nigerians have ever screamed spy satellite. But let somebody launch an Arduino powered jukebox into space from the south and you will see peeps talking about spy satellites, links, extra terrestrial alliances and the most horrifying of all World domination delivered from the seats of a remotely piloted gripen.

Hence our pending application to the UNSC to supply Iran with the Umkhonto GBADS. From what I understand, the Iranians have made it clear that if SA pulls off the diplomatic gymnastics to get the Umkhonto deal approved by the UNSC, then Rooivalk MK2 research funding, and a substantial order of over 60 aircraft manufactured in both countries, shall follow.

Give the Iranians the flipping Umkhonto GBADS and let's get the Rooivalk Mk3 produced. Give them anything they want, EW jammers, etc.

Now that Airbus got UNSC approval to sell plane parts to Iran and finally dropped its ludicrous condition not to supply 3rd parties with parts where the Rooivalk competes with their products (they're desperate to sell us C-295s and A400Ms).

A camera up in space that can zoom to any location (it's currently facing) on Earth in clarify of a metre on the ground.

To make it simpler for you, the DoD can literally compile high resolution images of military installations including sensitive ones on any country right now including yours (if the satellite passes there). So we'd know if you guys already have an JF17, for those moments it passes over your territory the boys could monitor tactical ground formations while drinking coffee in Pretoria.


* To add, the Kondor-E has a built-in radar that can monitor foreign airspace then synchronise with the Link-ZA. We could coordinate SAAF strike abilities on any foreign territory without actually turning the Gripen radar.

What do you mean by bad guy? Plus whats the point of getting it if you are not allowed to ever discharge it even if it's to ward off threat or put down a threat?

You're not allowed to discharge unless the threat is fatal. In that fatal case (eg someone has a knife) you're to give a warning shot, if he continues to charge then you're only allowed to shoot to disable him. In cases where it's a house break, you can actually get away with killing the perpetrator even if he wasn't armed on some technical grounds, but you'll still appear in court.

In cases where a perpetrator has already discharged his own gun, you're allowed to fully defend yourself with yours if you get the chance. However, in a case where Police enter a shootout scene, they're not allowed to shoot at anyone holding a gun without first identifying themselves as Police and let you know to lower yours or throw it on the ground (because in a shootout, there's a perpetrator and a victim so you have to establish that first before you shoot).

So technical, I can punch a Policeman, throw some stones at him or even burn his service vehicle BUT he'll not charge his service weapon.... I'll just be arrested later and get charged for assaulting him and burning his vehicle instead.


During random street searches, he's never allowed to pull out a weapon at a suspect, he can only keep his right hand on it while it's still on his hip. Rifles should always point downwards the ground.

Of course, you can't get a gun license unless you're a bad guy and you're required to keep the weapon in a certain manner and you're never allowed to discharge it (even when you're drunk in a bar and losing a sporting argument) . The murders happen because the criminals have illegal guns (via poor border control) and the law-respecting citizens are not armed, mostly.

Our gun laws are stricter than those of the US, it's an offense even for a policeman to discharge a gun at a civilian unless he has a history of being very violent. In fact, I've seen a policeman being attacked by a mob of unhappy people, all he did was run for his life with a pistol on his thigh, never discharged it.
