i'm not saying that SA does not have micro finances facilities, all i'm saying is that the SA government doesnt have SMSE setup for the citizens.how many saffers have government sponsored factories and businesses?
From this post going forward I will simply ignore your posts because of your ignorance and laziness to read.

Those institutions Paniki posted are setup by who for who? Your never bothered reading that they were state setup.

You're starting to embarrass your intelligence with your persistent ignorance

my dear paniki,why are you panicking?...the nigerian government also has the;

*National youth empowerment initiative{NYEI}

*Nigerian skill acquisition programme

*TETFUND

*SURE-P et al...
yet these programmes arent stopping the FG from establishing the mega business empowerment schemes for SMSEs.thats how a progressive economy is run.
No one said you didn't have micro finance institutions, he/she was merely proving that South Africa has them since you denied their existence.

no one said small population means higher GDP. You go and read that particular post again.

When we say billions on Naira it doesn't necesarily mean it is less than a billion rand, get it!
1 Billion Naira = 65 Million Rands

And no, journalists are not the ones that named us largest economy in Africa; professional financial institutions did, and i think you should live with that!
On paper, but reality has suggested otherwise... Life before you were announced "Africa's largest econmony" is still the same. There's hardly any economic benefit for it.

- You have a lower Human Development index than South Africa, even lower than Ghana.
- Your government spends a mere $157.29 on a single Nigerian this year while South Africa spends $2212.7 on a single South African this year
- Infrastructure expenditure is very low, way lower than South Africa
.

It is abslute nonsense that we watch SA shows and you don't watch ours. I am sure a Jim Iyke, Omotola Jalade, Genevive Nnaji, Mercy Johnson etc are familiar names to you. If not because Davido featured a Mafikizolo, no one knew them in Nigeria as well as other African countries. Apart from the likes of Lucky Dube, Chakachaka and Brenda Fasie and Mariam Makeba, no one knows any of your TV. We kow these people because of your anti-apatheid struggle (sorry about that).

Your Multicoice do not even export your culture instead, they have channels that show Nigerian shows exclusively! Your shows are COMPLETELY absent out side your borders, fact! Multichoice doesn't do this becos your culture, whatever it is, is not profitable; no one is interested in it, deal with it!
We talking economics, you're free to open a cultural thread and post whatever you wish there

why don't you just give up on this nonsense already?!
Should I give up because there's no Nigeria company in Africa's top 30 lagerst companies OR I should give because 90% of those companies are South African?

i just looked up a so-called list of top 500 companies on the internet and i was seeing an anglo-america, angold ashanti, steinhoff whatever (which sounds german), etc being named as belonging to SA! I no fit laugh abeg! I saw the Nigerian Oando on the list somewhere at the middle but can we trust that list? We in Nigeria know that Oando, though an energy company and there is so much money in the energy sector, is not as big as Dangote. Also, i am not sure if it is as big as First and Zenith bank.
Give me the number of South African companies in the top 30, then give me Nigerian.

i wouldnt consider myself misinformed love, because the impact of your micro business funds is barely felt,on what scale has the SA government set up business funds for people?,because in nigeria, billions of naira goes into SMSE coffers per month both from federal and state levels, everyone from those who seek to open factories to those who seek to set up shops and small retail qiosks, have access to the fund.bank loan policies have been relaxed, existing big and medium enterprises are setting up facilities to foster the up and coming ones.thats what i call economic develepment!,imagine the effects these things will generate on the long run,in few years, the economy begins to boom even more!.tell me,can that be achieved by dashing out money to able bodied men?.
That's nothing new, South Africa does that with billions of Rands.

forgive me oh wise one,but i'll have to disagree with you,not about the disabled people{obviously},the disabled people needs and deserve to be taken care of.but what about the able bodied people that depend solely on the bones that are kicked at them like common dogs by the ANC government?,what productivity does that build?,what development does that foster?.the nigerian government isnt doing that, but instead they're following the progressive way of setting up SMSE funds for people, currently billions of naira is been spent to set-up SMSE funds for nigerians.
So you think South Africa has no micro business funds set by the state, you're misinformed.

of course, what more can you say?,the fact that your government gives out free-gifts does not mean that your country is economically boisterous.a farmer giving out free carrots does not mean he owns the largest or best carrot farm.SA's economy is stagnant, economic growth is stagnant, crime rate is the highest, productivity is almost the lowest, unemployment rate is very high, foreign investments is decreasing, and the labour market is weak,.what the SA government needs to do is not dashing out things, but providing structure that enables the people to enrich themselves, their government and draw in more foreign and local investors.
You're not wise, are you ? The fact that the government is dishing out services without charge to people who wouldn't afford them means the government has sufficient money to do so.

How does a disability grant produce laziness? You will rather want disable people to beg on the streets to survive? In Nigeria it is allowed, in South Africa we take care of them... no disable person or orphan should go hungry - that's the way of Africa's greatest economy, South Africa.

^more stories for the gods.yes your dumb ANC government provides all those things you stipulated{though i dont know how hosting world cups is necessary to this topic}.but how has it impacted on your economy over the years?,free housing and food is all well and good, but what happens during an economic depression?,SA has the worst crime rates,a fast rising unemployment rate, and a stagnant economy for all your troubles.

*snorts*,just like when a kid was asked why he thinks satan has horns,he replied: "because my father said so".so because the world bank tells you that your government's free handouts reduce poverty,it is good?.ok lets assume poverty is reduced, what of; employment, productivity, crime rate and economic growth?....dashing people money isnt the way out love, you need to give them an avenue to make money for themselves and others.a fact your dumb ANC government dont understand.
The dumb ANC has;

- Built hundreds of thousands of houses for the poor who would otherwise live in shacks and mud houses
- They have build more schools and clinics than any other government in Africa
- Building modern infrastructure
- Build sporting facilitates
- Hosted the Rugby World Cup
- Hosted the Cricket World Cup
- Hosted the Soccer World Cup
- Provided free tertiary education to those who couldn't afford
- Provided grants for disabled and orphans who wouldn't have means to feed themselves

another falacy to be dismissed.SA can only dash out peanuts to its citizens because of your relatively small population.in the end, idleness breed a stagnant economy, high unemployment rate, reduced productivity and high crime rate.

Henry120:
This isn't based on any credible facts.

South-Africa is not more influential or dynamic than Nigeria on the African continent.
Henry, we have discussed this a million times.

Nigeria's economy is nothing but creative economics by Madam Ngozi and her boss Jonathan. If Nigeria's economy was all what its claimed to be then why.

- South Africa has the largest stock exchange at the value of US$182.6 billion compared to Nigeria's $80.8 billion
- South Africa has a tax base which is 3 times of Nigeria's tax base
- South Africa has 85% of Africa's top 30 largest companies - Nigeria has 0

These just prove the supremacy of the South African economy in Africa.

i tell you.SA is the only african country that gives it citizens almost everything for free.over the years, the people have become lazy and government dependent, and as we all know,an idle population breeds a doomed economy.then again,in recent years corruption has increased drastically, with wasteful government spendind, what else is to be expected but a failed economy.
Qatari-ans get more than South Africans from the state, I dont see that producing laziness.

South Africa can afford giving grants to the elderly, disabled and the orphaned... those are the duties of the state. We dont want to see orphans begging for survival like in most African countries (Thank God Im in South Africa).
Foreign Affairs › Re: Where Is Nigeria In The G-20 by ActivateKruger: 1:24pm On Nov 15, 2014

SA is there not because they are big enough to be there but because they were the biggest economy in Africa at the time the G-20 was founded. Currently, SA is NOT even in the top 20 economies by GDP.

And no, SA's economy isn't more influential, dynamic and more whatever you think it is. Nigeria occupies that spot!
NO, South Africa still has the most dynamic economy in Africa

What are you people even talking about undecided undecided

You claim the J-31 is a copy of the F-35, and the chinese hacked into and stole the "blue-prints" from the U.S DoD.

"A blueprint is a reproduction of a technical drawing, documenting an architecture or an engineering design, using a contact print process on light-sensitive sheets."

Now you turn around and claim, it won't work because of some fantasy rare components. Did you miss the part where the chinese stole the data from the americans?

The J-31 would perform just as good as the F-35, this is a fact. The J-31 is completely based on the F-35, there is absolutely no difference between them both.
Henry, admit it - you love Chinese fakes.

- Typically African soldier
- Probably dead or survived by running away to Cameroon

South Africa is one of the founding members of the G20, Nigeria might be "Africa's largest economy" but South Africa's economy is still the most influential, still the most advanced and still the most dynamic.

Nigeria might have more biscuits but South Africa has the "Choice Assorted" box.

My,my,my!! There are people who haven't heard of false flags! Dude, come the eff on! That's the way the world works-all modern guerrillas/rebels/terrorists from Hamas to the Tamils to the SPLA are armed, sponsored and trained by Zionists.

THIS IS FROM WIKI!!
Here's an ex Mossad agent on links with the Tamils:
http://tamilnation.co/books/Eelam/deception.htm
2 SPLA officers told me during the war Israeli war planners helped their operations.
A few years back a US think tank predicted the break up of Naij by next year. Its not just oil but also a punishment for stepping into the wider W African sphere during the Ecomog era-the US doesn't like competition;global full spectrum is their forte. I reiterate, the day you annoy de Beers and insist on alternative marketing arrangements for your diamonds is the day you'll suffer false flag terror even though unlike most countries many if not most of your civilians are armed.

SIGHHHHHHH,AK let me remind you of the mid 90s. Remember that Boer called Terreblanche? He loved to dress up and pose like all homos,(fyi, extreme racist organisations have more than their fair share of c ocksmokers). Who was paying for the entire AWB thing? The organisation, their premises, vehicles, training for the Ystergard etc etc-do you really think it was the 50 rand monthly subscription of hardline Boers?
Of course they had their people in your security/military/intel structures. If Terreblanche's handlers had so ordered SA would've drowned in blood. The insults you're all directing at Naij would be flowing the other way.
Conspiracies, I'm not interested. Let's talk military hardware and happenings.

Blame game, if you can't defeat your enemy then blame it on anyone else.

So if Boko Haram is West funded, then who cares because Nigeria has a defense budget worth billions of dollars so they shouldn't sucumb to Toyota driving buffoons.

Saffers, the bolded if true is confirmation of what I said earlier:
Where the actual eff do ragged desert dwellers get such intel and materiel? A thousand fighters with RPGs and Hilux mounted GPMGs deep in Nigeria? BH is a proxy army not a guerrilla force! There was talk of the country splitting up in 2015,doubtless it was an AngloZionist predictive programming measure.
I reiterate, the day Saffers reject their mandated roles in the NWO they'll suffer similar 'homegrown' terror, maybe worse if the internal societal dysfunctions as defined by the media are real.
Nah, unless there was a collapse in the intelligence structures and our military became obsolete THEN only then we will have a Nigerian scenario.

And so you know, South Africans are not interested in cave and bush dwelling like Jihadists so this kind of terrorism is a hard to sell to even right wingers.

If we're not happy about a certain agenda we take to the court, protests or to the ballot box. EVEN if your Illuminati can sponsor people with thousands of Toyotas and rifles, they wouldn't even cross the border without the intelligence picking it up.

We don't tolerate terrorism in South Africa
