20,000 for every goal scored in Monday’s 2018 FIFA
World Cup qualifying clash against Cameroon’s
Indomitable Lions in Yaounde.
The young and ebullient businessman from Akwa
Ibom state made the promise as he briefly greeted
players and officials inside the chartered ARIK
Bombadier CRJ 1000 aircraft just before take –off at
the Ibom International Airport, Uyo on Sunday.
“I am a very good friend of the NFF President, Mr.
Amaju Pinnick, and I am happy that I am here in
time to see you guys before take –off for Yaounde.
“I watched the game against the Cameroonians here
in Uyo on Friday and I am sure you have the ability to
conquer them again in their own territory. I promise
to reward you with $20,000 for every goal scored in
Yaounde,” Udofia announced to the applause of
players and officials.
Three-time champions Nigeria play Cameroon on
Monday in Yaounde in the 2018 FIFA World Cup

Naomi made her recording debut when she was nine

The recent crash of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan
Ogunwusi and his former wife, Olori Wuraola's 17-
month old marriage continues to generate mixed
reviews home and abroad.
The latest to comment on it is popular Ifa
Traditionalist, Playwright, Actor and Author, Yemi
Elebuibon who spoke to SUN saying ex-Olori
Wuraola, must necessarily undergo appropriate
traditional cleansing process to enable her to regain
normal life.
While noting that Ooni would not be the first Yoruba
Oba to be seperated from his wife, Elebuibon
stressed that marriage breakup is not very common
among Yoruba Obas, 't he wife of the Oba will be
asked to consult Ifa and Ifa will give directions on
how she will make the necessary atonement for her
cleansing. In Yoruba tradition, a woman who has
been married to a king cannot lay with any other
man even if the marriage breaks up. But when the
right atonements have been made, there won’t be
problem'.
On the kind of problems which an Oba’s ex-wife
might encounter if she refuses to undergo the
traditional cleansing rites, Elebuibon said: ' for the
woman, she might not really have a problem but for
any man who sleeps with a queen or marries an ex-
queen without the appropriate cleansing, the man
may die prematurely, he may be struck with sickness
or there might be retrogression in his life'.
He explained that if an ex-queen wants to remarry,
she will have to do the cleansing with her new
husband. Both of them have to take part in the
atonement procedures so that they won’t have any
future problem. “ Any marriage she would be going
into must not be elaborate. They should go far away
and avoid any flamboyant wedding, ” Elebuibon
warned.

A man trying to steal motorcycle in Anambra State has been arrested.According to report online, the suspect was caught today in Umuchu Town. He confessed to have been in the business for three years. Members of the Umuchu Vigilante group bundled him into their vehicle and took him to Umuchu police station for further investigations.

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday performed this year’s Eid- el-Kabir prayer in his hometown, Daura, Katsina State. The president later charged corps members who visited him after the prayers to uphold the country’s unity.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, who addressed the corps members on behalf of the President, assured them of government’s commitment to the unity of the country.

In a bid to tighten their grip on religious activities in the country, authorities in China have banned children from attendingchurches. The new directive also prohibits them from attending religious sermons and other related activities across the country.

Control on the country’s churches began several years ago when places of worship were ordered to remove crosses from their buildings in Zhejiang Province. William Nee, researcher for Amnesty International told MailOnline:
