Religion is a personal thing and every man has the right to choose his own, or practice it the way he likes. Most of the sycophants that use religion to defame the character of Buhari are not even practicing their acclaimed self righteousness. Many of them are occultists. They kill and conduct daily human sacrifices to remain in power. Buhari is a man of integrity and I respect him a lot. But because majority of those who have looted this country to poverty are afraid to end up in jail or loose their ill gotten wealth, they chose to fabricate lies against Buhari. They hire hungry and moral corrupted scholars to do the dirty jobs on their behalf. It is quite unfortunate that Nigerians buy all the lies the trade through the media. This is the only country where people prefer to believe in a hear say than make a research. Only a minute population of Nigerian are willing to investigate an allegation before they draw conclusions. Nigerians have resolved to be praise singers to corrupt leaders. We have failed to ask for accountability. Our conscience has been beclouded with religion and ethnic sentiments. Our sense of judgement and reason have been blinded by poverty. We chose to mortgage our tomorrow and the future of our children for the rice and a few Naira notes they share during elections. All we believe is the roads, the bridges, the railways, the electricity they build only on televisions. I always ask my self theses questions: 1. Where is the roads? The Abuja - Lokoja road was awarded by Obasanjo administration. He spent 8 years in the office. Then Yaradua and Goodluck spent another 8 years. Now if Goodluck is elected, he will be spending another 8 years. This will amount to 24 years and 180 km road is yet to be completed. Enugu - Onitsha road was also awarded by the Obasanjo administration and till date, a journey that suppose to take 45 minutes can take you 8 hours if it rains. Enugu- PH road is on the same series. What about Uyo - Calabar routes? Just to mention few. 2. Where is the power? They sold all the NEPA to their friends. We pay for the light that was not supplied. 3. Our education and health system go bad everyday. Lecturers and Health workers spent more time at home that in the schools and hospitals as a result of incessant strikes. 4. The government failed to provide us with security. People are being killed everyday and yet government comes out to tell us they are in control. 4. Why are we pretending that all is well? It is only in Nigeria where monies develop wings and fly. $20 billion oil money disappeared and they said it was $10 billion. Forensic investigators were hired and that was the end of the story. N20 billion pension fund stolen and nothing came out it. $9.3 million seized in South Africa and government claimed it was meant for ammunition purchase. The immigration scandal has also been swept under the carpet because the senate could not proceed their investigation. The man behind the contract is sitting among the high seats in the senate. Innocent people were defrauded and they at same time lost their lives yet, we have a transparent governance. 5. Why are we praise government as if they are doing whatever with their personal money. How many people in their various communities have they provided scholarship with their personal money before the got elected? The reason they got elected is to manage our resources and not to loot us dry. One thing I know is that we will not have any meaningful development except we make a change. Age or no age, Buhari is a better option. |

The victims were rushed to the hospital. Four police officers were feared killed as gunmen attacked a GTBank van near the bank’s branch at Amigo junction, along Nnamdi Azikiwe way, Kaduna. Witnesses said the police officers closed from their duty post at the bank and were leaving the premises when they were attacked around 4:30 p.m. “The gunmen just came from nowhere on a motorcycle and opened fire on the police officers who just closed from duty at the bank. Everybody started scampering for safety before security agents took control and cordoned off the area,” a witness said. “The gunmen zoomed off as they continued to shoot sporadically leaving the lifeless body of the victims in the pool of their own blood.” The Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna, Aminu Lawal, while confirming the incident said it was too early to say whether the officers are dead. “It is too early for us to say whether the officers are dead because the incident just happened not quite 30 minutes ago and they have been taken to the hospital,” he said. “We are waiting for the doctor’s report before we can ascertain that.” “We have also responded to the incident and will give you details very soon,” he added. http://premiumtimesng.com/news/152778-four-police-officers-feared-killed-gunmen-attack-gtbank-vehicle.html |

The leader of Nigeria’s Boko Haram Islamists, Abubakar Shekau, has claimed a daring December 20 raid on a military barracks in the restive northeast, in a video obtained by AFP Friday. The insurgents stormed the barracks in the town of Bama in a convoy of trucks before sunrise, opened fired on the soldiers inside then torched the compound. Several witnesses said the gunmen kidnapped soldiers as well as women and children. “Our fighters stormed the Bama barracks,” Shekau said, while seated on a mat and flanked by a group of armed men. Shekau has released a series of videos since taking control of the rebel group more than three years ago. The latest recorded statement was delivered to AFP through the same channel as previous messages. “This is a victory from Allah,” said the wanted insurgent leader after claiming to have destroyed “21 armoured tanks” and killed “multitudes” in the raid. The military has not released a death toll from the barracks attack and rescue agencies have largely been barred from working in the northeast since at a state of emergency was declared in the area in May. According to the defence ministry, more than 50 “terrorists” were killed when ground forces backed by fighter jets pursued the fleeing Islamists after the raid. Residents told AFP that an unknown number of civilians were killed and four villages destroyed during the military response. Shekau has been declared a global terrorist by the United States, which put a $7 million (5.1 million euros) bounty on his head. Nigeria has separately offered 50 million naira ($300,000) for information leading to his capture or death. In the video, Shekau appeared to mock the notion that one of his loyalists would betray him in exchange for a reward. “What is 50 million naira? We do not worship money. As for those who are in our midst, Allah has taken care of them,” he said. The Bama attack was the second major strike on the military in the northeast this month and was seen as a reminder that more than seven months into a military offensive aimed at crushing the insurgency, Boko Haram remains capable of striking high profile targets. The group’s four-year insurgency, which seeks to create an Islamic state in Nigeria’s mainly Muslim north, has killed thousands. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/12/boko-haram-says-attacks-barracks-victory-allah/#sthash.aiqKvhEK.dpuf |

1 Base Ammunition Depot of the Nigerian Army, Gusau, said it had repatriated 226 foreign donkeys to Niger Republic. Maj. Hamman Saleh, the Commandant of the depot, told Journalists while loading the donkeys at the Tsafe military check point, Zamfara, that the donkeys were intercepted in the bush on Monday along with their 49 owners. Saleh said due to the security challenges in the country, the donkeys and their owners were apprehended and searched to detect possible concealed weapons. He, however, said that only axes and cutlasses were found in their possession, adding that the intruders, however, gained entry into the country illegally. Saleh said the suspects had been handed over to the state’s command of immigration service. The Comptroller of Immigration Service in the state, Alhaji Shattima Mailafiya confirmed the development. Mailafiya said that the suspects, mostly Nigeriens, would be repatriated to their country. He said already, the state government had provided three trucks for the exercise through the Nigeria/Niger border at Illela in Sokoto State. Mailafiya said that about 68 other illegal aliens had been repatriated in the last four months through the same border. He, however, appealed to the state government to continue to support the command, especially with vehicles to enable it combat the activities of foreign nationals sneaking into the country without legal permits. Meanwhile, some of the donkey owners said that they were in Nigeria to seek for menial jobs during the dry season. They said the donkeys were used for hawking fire wood while some were sold to ready-made buyers when the fire wood business was not moving as expected. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/12/army-repatriates-226-donkeys-niger-republic/#sthash.0TYG5DOd.dpuf |

A policewoman committed suicide after writing a text to a male colleague thanking him for a 'wonderful' date - but accidentally sent it to her husband, an inquest heard. PC Gail Crocker, 46, met a fellow officer while her husband Peter, 49, was away from their home near St Austell, Cornwall, on a business trip in London. Later that evening the mother of two typed a message on her mobile saying: 'Thank you for a wonderful evening. Only wish we could do this more often'. But Mrs Crocker sent it to her husband of 30 years by mistake, an inquest in Truro was told. He came home and she admitted to having a 'one-off' rendezvous with a male colleague but insisted it had never happened before. The couple rowed, and the next day Mrs Crocker called in sick from work and drove to a lane two-and-a-half miles away from her home in the village of St Stephen. She took an overdose and was later found dead in her car on 15 June. Mr Crocker, of St Stephen, Cornwall, told the inquest his wife had begged him for forgiveness when he got back from his trip. He said: 'I got out [of the car] and she was in floods of tears saying she was sorry. She told me it was a one-off and she had never done it before. Mr Crocker told the hearing they rowed the following morning, saying: 'She went on and on again. My work phone rang. I was so angry I slammed it into the ground. Gail Crocker, 46, committed suicide after sending a text meant for a man she had dated to her husband After going to the supermarket to buy a replacement phone, Mr Crocker arrived home later that day to find his wife and her car had gone. Mr Crocker contacted her sergeant at Bodmin Police Station who told him she had called in sick for her shift that afternoon. He said: 'I didn't sleep at all. I didn't hear from Gail during the night.' The following morning David Rendell and his wife, close friends of the Crockers, spotted Mrs Crocker's car in the car park at Lanjeth, a nearby village, and called her husband. Mr Crocker discovered his wife's body in the boot next to an empty bottle of tablets, which the pathologist said caused her death, and suicide notes written to him and daughters Chloe, 22 and Gemma, 25. Mrs Crocker, who met her husband in Plymouth when she was 15 and he was 17, first trained as a PCSO in Truro in 2003 and became a police constable in 2007. Mr Crocker added in his statement: 'She was a people person - she would speak to anyone about anything. Being a PCSO was her perfect job. 'She was my life. We had plans. Nothing was worth her taking her life. I'm lost without her.' - Paul Crocker, 49 'She was my life. We had plans. Nothing was worth her taking her life. I'm lost without her.' The unnamed colleague with whom Mrs Crocker spent the evening was not required to give evidence or named at the inquest. Returning a verdict of suicide, Coroner for Cornwall Emma Carlyon told the hearing she was satisfied that Mrs Crocker's death resulted from a deliberate act to take her own life. At the time of her death colleagues paid tribute to the 'excellent' police officer who was based in Truro and later Bodmin. Sector inspector Robin Hogg said: 'I have known Gail for several years and will always remember her as an excellent officer with a bright, happy and positive disposition.' 'Gail leaves a husband and two daughters who miss her deeply and are very proud of the role she carried out in the community.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2518006/Policewoman-took-overdose-died-accidentally-texting-husband-message-meant-male-colleague.html http://www.pakurumo.com/2013/12/policewoman-killed-herself-after.html?m=1

A university dropout, Sodiq Jimoh, has told operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Lagos that he is not an armed robber, but a killer. Jimoh, a 28-year-old indigene of Lagos State, confessed that he was a member of Eiye Confraternity and was responsible for the murder of many rival cult members. According to Police authorities, the suspect, who is a trader at the Alaba International Market, was usually hired on contract by traders in the market to intimidate or kill rivals. The suspect and others at large were said to have killed at least five people in Alaba area of the state in May. It was learnt that after the killings, the Officer in charge of SARS, Abba Kyari, began an investigation and Jimoh was arrested along with his friend, Ibrahim Oshilomo. After a search of Jimoh’s home, two masks and guns were found. Jimoh, said, “I am not an armed robber, I am just a member of Eiye cult. During the market election, one of the contestants gave us N1m to flush out his opponent’s supporters. “On May 22, 2013, we knew that (Aiye) members had also been paid to support an opponent. So we knew there would be a fight. I got 15 of my boys and Aiye people attacked us first. But the Eiye boys were able to gun them down. “Four of them, Chibuzor, Tony, Ayanga and Chinedu; died on the spot. I did not pity them because it was self-defence. As cultists, we only kill those who deserve death and those guys were also evil.” Jimoh, who claimed to be married with three children, said he was not the leader of the cult but the fifth in command. He added that he usually wore the mask in order to avoid being identified by rival cult members. When asked why he took to cultism, he said, “When I was in 300 level, some boys tricked me into following them to a party and gave me something to eat. They said if I did not join them, I would die. “I couldn’t cope with school so I left and then became a television trader in the Alaba Market.” The second suspect, Oshilomo, said he also participated in the killing, but was deceived into joining in the operation. “I am also an Eiye member but I belong to Iba branch, not Alaba branch. I only went to buy something in the market on that day when Jimoh said I should escort him somewhere. It was when Aiye boys started shooting at us that I retaliated,” he said. When asked where they usually got their weapons from, Oshilomo said, “Our leader, Falade, aka Elebiti, usually gets the guns for us. His father is a traditional leader in Lagos, so the guns are kept in the palace because we know policemen cannot just go in there to search the place. “Elebiti travelled out of the country when he learnt of our arrest.” Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the arrest to our correspondent on the telephone. Braide said the suspects would soon be charged to court. http://www.punchng.com/metro/i-only-kill-those-who-deserve-death-suspect/

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested one Oluwasegun Sanni, aka Nicholas, for allegedly parading himself as an official of the commission. Sanni, a street footballer, was picked up on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in Ikoyi, Lagos. EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said Sanni was arrested while he was collecting a bribe of N450,000 he “fraudulently demanded from one Alhaji A. Abubakar” whom he had earlier called to the office of the EFCC to respond to a fictitious petition allegedly written against him. Uwujaren said, “The suspect approached Abubakar about a month ago that he wanted to assist him to kill a petition written against him by some unnamed petitioners. “Abubakar reported the approach to the EFCC and he was advised to play along. The efforts paid off when Sanni showed up on Wednesday to receive the bribe. He was promptly arrested.” Sanni was said to have blamed his woes on one Mark Kennedy, whom he said requested him to collect the bribe from Abubakar. He said, “I met Mark Kennedy in a football viewing centre in Ketu, Lagos. He was the one who sent me to the EFCC’s office to meet Alhaji Abubakar. I don’t know Kennedy’s address and what he does for a living.” http://www.punchng.com/metro/footballer-nabbed-for-posing-as-efcc-official/ |

Muhammad Nazeef was paraded by the SSS as a Boko Haram suspect. The daughter of the Kogi State University lecturer, Muhammad Nazeef, paraded by the Department of State Security Service as a Boko Haram suspect on Thursday, has claimed that her father is not a terrorist. Summayya Muhammad, Mr. Nazeef’s daughter, in a statement sent to the media, described the state security’s (SSS) allegation against her father as “untrue and full of mischief”. She said the allegation was planned to tarnish her father’s image and that of the family. “The family categorically writes and states that the parading of Dr. Muhammad Nazeef Yunus, on the allegation as claimed by the SSS, was falsehood and a calculated attempt to damage his good reputation and image as a peaceful Islamic cleric.” Ms. Muhammad said Mr. Nazeef, a lecturer in the Department of Arabic and Islamic studies at Kogi State University was paraded alongside for others by the SSS on Thursday in Abuja. While Mr. Nazeef, in tears, denied any link with the dreaded sect, the other four accused him of having connection with Boko Haram members. They described him as their leader , saying they had been trained in the sect’s camp in Sambisa, Maiduguri. During the parade of the suspects, Mr. Nazeef said he believed he was being set up by the Boko Haram following his consistent preaching against the sect’s activities. Ms. Muhammad also said that her father has always condemned the Boko Haram sect’s activities and that tapes of his messages are a proof to that. “Dr. Nazeef is a strong condemner of the Boko Haram sect. His available records of his preaching have proven that he is not a member of the sect. Dr. Nazeef, as known by all other persons for his peace, has never been an advocate of the sect; as such the family strongly condemned in totality his parading by the SSS, even as he repeatedly denied having knowledge of his allegation.” She said Ms. Muhammad also faulted the SSS’ claim that Mr. Nazeef was arrested at a mosque in Zuba, Abuja. She said her father was arrested by security agents at his Anguwan Rogo residence in Jos on October 29 along with one of the suspects, Umar Musa, and then transferred Abuja. “The SSS after 21 days of the arrest shamelessly, through its spokesperson Ms. Marilyn Ogar, said they arrested him just three days ago, in a white mosque in Abuja.” She said She also noted that the family has filed a legal action against the SSS at an Abuja High court. She said the judge handling the case, Valentine Ashi had ordered that the SSS present Mr. Nazeef in person before the court on Tuesday. “The court, presided over by Justice Valentine B. Ashi, has ordered for his presentation before it by the SSS, next Tuesday, they hurriedly and mischievously paraded him and labelled the Boko Haram.” she said Also, a political organization in Kogi State, Jibrin Isah Campaign Organisation, has debunked media reports linking its school, Isah Memorial College Ajiolo, owned by Jibrin Isah, to the alleged Boko Haram suspect. Mr. Isah had challenged the current Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada, for the Peoples’ Democratic Party gubernatorial ticket. He is still challenging the governor’s eventual emergence in court. They campaign organisation accused the media of blackmailing the Kogi State judiciary. “The other day, they compelled the President of a Customary Court of Appeal to swear in a governor, while there was a subsisting Chief Judge in Kogi state. On a different day, they went to enroll our PDP national chairman, a man of integrity and honour as well as members of the NWC of our great party to do their bidding in their satanic and illegal project but they were turned down. Today, we are now being linked with the dreaded Boko Haram sect,” the organization stated. http://premiumtimesng.com/news/150170-father-links-boko-haram-kogi-university-lecturers-daughter-says.html

Idowu Peters, who is from Edo State, Segun Babalola and another man who is at large, had robbed a house on Rafiu Adetola Street, Aromolaran in the Agugu area of Ibadan on November 8. They succeeded in stealing a laptop, mobile telephones and jewellery from their victims at gun point. However, Peters was said to have shot himself in the lap with a locally-made pistol used in the robbery. It was said he was putting the gun in his pocket when it accidentally fired. He was abandoned by his accomplices who also took the gun from him. The state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ndabawa, added that Babalola was arrested when he attempted to use the gun to rob a motorcyclist along Sawmill area of Ibadan. He said, “He was caught while trying to rob a motorcyclist two days after he escaped from a robbery scene in Ibadan. We are looking for the third member.” Peters told our correspondent that he was arrested when a policeman saw him in a pool of blood, adding that he bought the gun for the purpose of the robbery. “While trying to escape the robbery scene, the gun I was holding went off and hit my lap. I fell and waited until the following morning in a bush. But while limping off in the morning, a policeman saw that my trousers were stained with blood and arrested me. I bought the gun in Ijagba, Edo State for N16,000. The seller gave me bullets too,” he said. His partner, Segun, said he was trying to come up with a way to help Peters when he was caught with the gun. “We left him somewhere around the scene of the robbery after he was injured. In the morning, I went to airport area in Ibadan to find solution to his problem but somehow, I was caught by the police. I think someone must have given then information about me,” he said. http://www.punchng.com/metro/robber-shoots-self-while-fleeing-from-scene/ |
