why dont you post sections of the constitution for everybody to see. It seems that you do not know how legal procedures work. Federal Administrative Panel does not have the constitutional authority to indict or pursue charges against these people. How do you deal with immunity clause? OBJ did not do anything about this troubling clause because he knows that he is corrupt as well. |
Look I am not a fan of these politicians including OBJ, but FG does not have the right to bar anyone from contesting elections. How about the principle that everyone is assumed innocent until proven guilty. No court in the land has tried these people for FG to bar them from contesting election. OBJ could have done this if he had not wanted to elongate his tenure by lobbying members of NASS to pass a law that would bar politicians from contesting if indicted by that panel. INEC cannot even reinvent the rules, so as long as they are not charged, they are very qualified to contest. I want to conduct a study on Peter Obi, he has won all his cases through the court. This is what we should be doing in Naija not to cut corners to score some cheap political points. Why can't OBJ act like Thabo Mbeki who allowed the law to take its course in Jacob Zuma's trouble with the law. Militarism is the cause of our backwardness. |
Lagos most populous voters in Nigeria - INEC http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=70703 What happened to KANO STATE? Three thing Nigerians cannot do 1- Free and fair election 2- Accurate Census figure 3- Manage big corporation |
shutmouth, Federal government does not have the power to constitute a panel that would indict Atiku, the so called panel did not derive its power from the constitution. This is sheer usurpation of roles. NASS did not empower them to do that job. Can you cite any a legislative enactment that established that panel. You cannot be a judge in your own case. Federal prosecutors working at ministry of justice should slam charges at these corrupt politicians. FG cannot circumvent constitution to nail some people. They should follow the constitution, again OBJ has lost almost all his cases in the courts. Why does Ribadu have to pronounce judgment before the case are tried. He is prejudicing most of his cases. There is no legal precedent by which administrative panel could serve as a competent law court. |
Shutmouth, its not by force you can ignore. What makes you sick? |

Should Nigeria BAN Jeff Koinange? What do you think? ABUJA, Nigeria (CNN) -- A Nigerian government spokesman on Monday accused CNN of paying for and staging a report that showed 24 Filipino hostages being held by masked gunmen in the remote mangrove swamps of southern Nigeria. "We have evidence that some of these people were actually paid to put up a show," Nigerian Minister of Information Frank Nweke Jr. told CNN International about last week's report by Jeff Koinange, CNN's Africa correspondent. "It was a paid job, and that's exactly why we are very upset about it," he said, without offering evidence. "He had actually approached other people before then to do the same thing and his offer was declined. And he shopped around for more people and found those criminals who were willing to play ball with him and they put on the kind of show that they put up and which was shown around the world." |
http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art2007021414353426 I feel that EFCC should not hit the polity, Ribadu may mean well, but he should guide his utterances because they might prejudice his cases against corrupt politicians. Why did it take him up till now to release these names? I would think that he knows a lot about the law that one is adjudged to be innocent until proven guilty in a competent court of law. EFCC cannot be a prosecutor and a judge in these cases. I would want to see him slam prosecutions on these people. I think that these politicians can scuttle the upcoming general elections thereby extending OBJ’s tenure. OBJ is using EFCC as hell http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art2007021414353426 |

They are both gold diggers, but the society feels that its right for women to have some elements of gold digging in them. They all got married to rich spouses because of money. The way people berate Kevin Federline is not the way they berated Anna Nicole Smith. |
