Wrong! A car is not expected to develop heating issues and gear issue in less than 3yrs if it had not been involved in an accident or major impact. Even manufacturers give guarantees of mileages that averages 3years use. We bought a Toyota Corrolla in 2008 and still in use today. The first time I touched the gear was 2year ago.....and guess what, for routine service. I this vehicle does inter-state on Lagos-Ibadan-Osogbo fairly regularly......
Not true! Most car manufacturers give 50k or 5 years which ever comes first. Aide failed to state the mileage on the car.

None of the brands you mentioned there breaks down in 2 years! After 200,000 KM, many of those car brands are still running and imported to Nigeria as Tokunbo! My fathers Peugeot 504/505 car ran for more than 20 years so what is the fo.olish comparison you are making? Those cars are tested in very extreme conditions especially an SUV? They are driven on desert soil, rocky, bumpy surfaces, collision tests, etc before being certified. Where does Innoson do ok these testing before selling their cars? While I support Innoson and recently advised a family member in Nigeria who wanted to spend a lot on a Toyota, I understand that quality is very important otherwise all the money spent is wasted!
That's not true. Hard to find cars with 200k without one problem or the other. Govt aide didn't post mileage on the car. Companies like Honda and Toyota offer 50k warranty, but Hyundais offer 100k warranty and you must come to their approved mechanics for issues in order to enjoy these warranties.

If you are really serious, then kindly take up my challenge; upload the entire speech of the president and let us analyse it together before this forum so as to prove whether or not he is being accurately quoted by your ilk and many more - otherwise I really don't have time for such pea brained empty arguments that mean and prove nothing.
I have no time to upload pictures for folks like who are wilfully ignorant. Google is ur best resource. 1: he didn't know what inclusive meant, implying that it wasn't not in his dictionary and wont implement inclusivity in his govt.
2: He said in all honesty he would not treat the regions that gave him 97% votes same with regions that gave him 5%, BTW, GMB isn't wittily evasive to speak in a contextual manner.
3. Ok fine, can he fix the country for the 97%?

This guy has got to be the dumbest president that we've ever produced. I wonder why many pro Buhari peeps cannot see that this man does not have anything upstairs to offer. So, the only thing he could tell Igbo corpers in Daura is to forget about Biafra. His language of "YOUR PEOPLE" speaks volume of how divisive he is. Isn't he suppose to be the president of Nigeria cos he talked like he was talking to citizens of another country.
Thank you. Evrything his detractors had said about him before the election has come to fruition. Image what he thought of soldiers like Ike Nwachukwu who fought on the Nigerian side?
How does Biafra stop him from fulfilling his campaign promises to the 97%?

From where I stand you are asking Buhari to fill a woven basket with water trickles (only few intelligent people will understand the concept)

Before GEJ was sworn in, licensed importers were 40 before Jonathan left they were more than 120 importers of crude and it was nothing but a ploy to share subsidy with friends and family

Remember a while back when one top politicians son was busted for collecting subsidy, but never imported a drop of crude and the address on his license /CAC document was fake, that was about 100B

During the excess of $120\barrel Jonathan did not repair any refinery or build another one all he focused on was subsidy scam for friends and family and political buddies

Okonjo iwealla confirmed Nigeria has been in recession since late 2014 instead of admitting the truth she said Nigeria was cash strapped

These are documented facts, I don't expect the 5% people to agree with me

And PDP Politrickians like Atiku, Masari, OBJ,El Rufai, Amechi, Tambuwal, Ogbeh,Ngige etc all Founded APC. You hate thieves but keep company of thieves!!
At least PDP established EFCC.
At least rebuilt Naija courts which were damaged by military guys like GMB
At least 97% are suffering and wailing. He can just fix the country for the 97%?
Why is providing good leadership to the 97% contingent on how bad PDP was?
This is like blaming your inability to provide for your new wife on her ex lover, because he treated her badly.

That statement was never divisive but those who wish to cause mischief have been deliberately taking a small portion of the president's speech and quoting it out of context to divide Nigerians.
I therefore challenge you or anyone to upload the entire transcript of the speech here in ths forum for re-examination to prove the accuracy of such damaging and misleading misinterpretation of the president.
because you are oblivious to what is divisive just like Buhari was to inclusive.. A president who said "in all honesty" so how true can it be??

Wole Soyinka an authority in English was known to have identified errors while give corrections in both local & int'l articles. how much less a beginner like you. I could have far long ignored you but for my appetite for learning esp. when my attention is being drawn. You lost every tiniest respect you could have earned, not that you had any afterall. You keep harping on "rules of concord" but wouldn"t identify where i misapplied it & get it done over with. Coward, running tail in between legs. You can't be

The fact that you are ignorantly immersed in some sort of complex, makes you unamenable to learning or rational debate. I have been able to defend my post, but you on the other hand, have been nasty and bone-headed in your responses. I have nothing to lose by not disclosing your errors to you. Go and re-read your post and tell me if you applied " rules of concord" in your composition. I brought this up because you were attacking somebody's educational qualification.

First of, this is not a superiority contest. However, you strike me of someone whose pride has made him the victim of his own intelligence & overbloatedness however knowledgeable you might be.

You can not explain in simple terms the contextual meaning of your expression rather you resolve to screenshoting from a dictionary. If i ever needed one i could get one.

from the dictionary page you posted, pray tell, how does the word ' jaundiced" concour with " education" in relation to "grammatical blunders " as used by you. Would the synonyms have sounded like; bitter education/ pessimistic education or resentful, skeptical, suspicious education. How does that sound, prof??. Meanwhile, the example as used in the context says" They looked on politicians with a JAUNDICED EYES". In context,to mean, a skeptical, pessimistic , bitter, cynical VIEWS/ SIGHTS, as the case may be. Any periodical, journals etc.. where "jaundiced education" was used in a/any sentence will be appreciated. Do well to furnish me.

Meanwhile, we've been back & forth over my observation of yours, yet you're grandstanding about your unseen observation.

Whatever i learn, i do so with humility with every bit of sentiment & pride thrown to the basement. while i continue to learn from you or anybody 'if' there is something to learn. i' m quick to admit errors & accept corrections.

Generally speaking, most conversations on NL are informal which is acceptable in the studies of English. In anycase, formal perhaps advanced english alike. _PPLE must enjoy themselves!

I have been thus far gentlemanly enough to hold my fires.but further attempts to be any rigid could make me go bunkers on you. Talk to me prof.
The truth has spoken!
For the simple fact that you're unable to find any errors in your post clearly shows how delusional you are. Rule of concord!

What a divisive, vindictive and vicious bigot we have as president! No wonder his aides shielded him from public debates. When he talks, he spews vitriolic and venomous hatred unbecoming of a class captain let alone a president.
He called all law abiding Igbos Biafran agitators? He doesn't even have respect for the likes of Ogbonna Onu who built the party from APP to ANPP to APC?
How many times has he adminished his fellows Muslims to abadon BH since by his reasoning, all Muslims are all BH members?
Same way he called out Xtians fighting in Naija Army to single-handedly take on BH.
Does he know that Igbos are about a quarter of the country while Biafran agitators cannot boast of 200k membership. He has insulted every law abiding Igbo citizen of this country by implying that you are fighting for Biafra simply because you share a geographical location with some of these agitators. May I also remind him that Boko Haram has killed over 200k Nigerians and displaced over 4m Nigerians. He said that military action against BH was an action against the north. Fulani herdsmen have killed thousands of people and he has yet to prosecute anybody while he has instructed police to shoot at any Biafran agitators on the street..

Recession is expected...
Stop comparing Naija with Venezuela. One of their one hydroelectric dams is the 4th largest in the world, which generates close to 11K MW for 30m people while Naija only generates 3k MW for 170m people.

This is the most informed comment I have read on the venezuelan crisis. The poor person in venezuela is upper middle class in naija, and we are here praying our situation will not be as bad as theirs.

By the way, I believe our GDP per Capita must have severely fallen given the fall in value of the naira. That $3000 figure is suspect.
Yes, our GDP per capita has fallen. Also, Venezuela has the 4th largest hydroelectric dam in the world which generates over 10k MW while Naija just generates only 3k mw.

Typical Naija zombie displaying unbridled stupidity from the abundance of their ignorance.
So what is your point? 80m poor folks in Naija vs 5m poor folks in Venezuela.. Can you do the math??
Their situation is a lot better in Venezuela than Naija. Their govt subsidizes food, healthcare and social programs. They are mad that diary products are scarce. If I may ask you where can you get fresh milk in Naija?? Their GPD per capita is over $13k while that of Naija is about $3k. My point is that poor folks in Venezuela are like Kings in Naija.
Government revenue in Venezuela is $142bn while in Naija $30bn and their govt has more than 4x to spend on a 30m people vs Naija with $30bn to spend on 170m peeps. BTW, 70% of that goes to Politrickians and overhead cost. Naija poor folks aren't rioting because they have never received freebies or social benefits from govt, so what's the point of rioting and getting shot?

So I suppose you'll refuse help from people cuz they do not owe ye..the main purpose of relationships is to provide emotional support, and add value to the live of your partner..she said he provided financial aid not like he bought her cars,a house/sponsored her education..in an ideal world helping people financially even those you do not know shouldn't be a landslide achievement but an act of kindness & a display of humanity done willingly without any regret/expectation..but its a pity that we do not live in an ideal world.

Some people out there have rendered unimaginable help to females without expecting to pound em..they may not be many..but they exist.
What a display of Naija hypocrisy! If most Nigerians were this helpful and nice, we would be in a better country. We wouldnt be termed " most" corrupt nation.
Back to the relationship, if you want a true relationship, do not make financial demand from the guy. Don't expect the guy to take u out or at least have money to pay for that while relationshp evolves. A guy shouldnt have to foot the bill while are trying to see if you like the guy. Don't take money and gift while you guys test the relationship. Why is it prostitution or money for s3x whenever a guy is asking for s3x, but do not see it as selling ur body/company for money when a guy is spending money on u to keep you? Your moral lenses should be 2-way focused not 1-way!!

Don't let anyone push you into what you're not ready for.
Sex isn't a payment for financial assistance. Except you guys have a prostitution arrangement. If he doesn't want to wait and you want to wait, then the relationship won't work. So it's best you decide if you want to leave for that or give in to his demands in order to keep him but it should never be as a repayment for whatever monies he spent.

Don't listen to these hypocrite dudes. You can never please them. If you asked him for money because he had sex with you, they will call you a prostitute. But they feel it's okay for you to pay back money in sex. Don't even.

P.S you know the dude more than we do. So can you tell if he's helping you financially in order to get into your panties or if he's helping you because he wants to?

If it's the former, just break up with him and go your way or one day he will rape you in the name of taking his reward. As we can see by the random sampling that is nairaland, many guys don't have problems with rape and many of them feel they are owed sex for monies no one forced them to spend. Be wise and know who you're dealing with.
Didn't ur parents teach u that having good morals also means asking men to pay for things you wouldn't ordinary afford by yourself?
Would u date a guy who doesn't offer material benefits to you
