You must be a dellutional f.ool for telling me to show her a code of conduct, am I her employer?, you think the Nigerian Police just employed her without showing her the code of conduct? You better return the money your parents wasted sending empty brains like you to school. Your brain cells are so dead they can't differentiate between right and wrong.

And insults doesn't make your points reasonable either. A bigger fool always argues with no standard evidence to whatever he claims to know. If asking you to educate others by supporting your point with evidence is foolishness to you, then it shows you're deeply suffering from an inherited cerebral palsy, an absolute deranged brain which tells a lot about your family. No point stressing on your kind, and like the other commenter said, your brain can be likened to that of animals, maybe they sold or exchanged yours when you were born. Why don't you just show her the code of conduct that prohibits the act since you're so certain the act was wrong? Since you're the one against the act, it's you who should educate those who sees no wrong in the act by providing the code of conduct.

And whether the act was wrong or not, if it was the first lady that asked the security personnel for such assistance, do you really expect the police woman to say no to the first lady?

Religion / Re: The Hate On White Garment Churches by ade2291(m): 9:13pm On Jun 27, 2023
FxMasterz:

I can see that you're already deep in white garment practices. You're probably a strong leader there. Nothing I tell you would move you because your belief in the things you do is deeply entrenched.

Now, let me answer your Questions.

1. The raised hands of Moses was what God intended to use at that point in time to bring victory to Israel. God wanted him in one way or the other to participate in that battle and make the Israelites know for certain that their swords was not responsible for their victory.

Psalm 44:3

For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them."

The message was very clear. Moses also got to understand that he is not self-sufficient. Take note of the fact that it was just a one-time occurrence. It never happened again. They didn't make it a rule for regular war practice. It was simply a message and it remained so. Do not compare this event with regular practices of the white garment churches.

2. When Elisha told the king Jehoash to hit the ground with his arrows in 2kings 13, remember that in verse 16, the prophet put his hands on the king's hands. This is the important part of that passage because the prophet was about to give the king a prophetic prayer that he was not worthy of. The king like his father was not serving God but he wanted to benefit from God. Rather than issue him a word of prophesy for Victory, the prophet can only offer up prophetic prayers and he must use his own hands to decide his own fate. That's exactly what happened. Any victory the king got was not because he was worthy but because God decided to overlook his deeds and have respect to the prophet and his anointing. However, by striking the ground just 3 times, he sealed his own fate. This does not justify anything that white garment churches do.

3. Jesus spitting on the ground was as He was directed to do at that particular moment for that particular man. The man was born blind. Tradition has it that he did not even have eyes. As in there were no eyes in those sockets. It was all skin covering that part of his face. The miracle in that John 10 was a special miracle. Jesus was literally creating new eyes in order to give sight to that man. What He did there was as instructed by the Holy Spirit. Remember He said, "I can of my own self do nothing." The actions were just for that particular occasion. The disciples who took up the ministry after Christ didn't make anything of it. Their activities are fully recorded in the book of Acts. They never had to indulge in any of those things you guys do to cast out devils, heal the sick, make the lame to walk or even raise the dead. The church had existed for almost 2,000yrs before white garment churches came into being. Those practices of yours never existed in christiendom. What do you think you know better than the Apostles?

Jesus is our ultimate example, and the Bible is our guide. Do it the way they did it. You would have the same results they had. It's just as simple as that. Why burn candles or wash anyone's head in rivers? Are you herbalists?

4. The blood flow from the woman with the issue of blood was not responsible for drawing power from the Lord Jesus. It was her faith. Through her faith, power was released from the Lord for her healing, and Christ knew that power got out of Him. Her menstrual blood didn't defile Jesus or spoil His anointing. I'm aware that you guys have
certain restrictions for women during their mensural periods. Like a herbalist, you think a touch from them would spoil things. It was not so with Christ. He was glad the woman touched Him. He approved of the touch and said "daughter, be not afraid, your faith has made you whole." If mensuration does not constitute a pollution to the Apostles of Christ (Acts 15}, why should it matter to any part of the body of Christ? Except that part has another Lord which is not Jesus.

See, the Bible is plain and straight forward. Trying to use unrelated scriptures to justify weird practices does not bring you into any good standing before God.

Even Paul who brought the gospel to us gentiles said be ye my imitators as I am of Christ Jesus. 1Cor. 11;1-2 (Paraphrased).

Tell me who you're imitating with your strange practices because it's obviously not the Lord Jesus, neither Paul nor any of the Apostles of the Lamb.

Your illustration of Christ healing that blind man is totally rubbish... Reread what the question entails and recheck your explanation. Despite the fact that saying the man had no eyes at all is absolutely not found in the bible, you should understand that Jesus had the power to make the man see without using mud and saliva.

He asked the correlation, and all you did was to use one rhetorical heresies to analyze rubbish. If a pastor uses mud and saliva for any manifestation today and claimed it's the directive of the holy spirit, what would you say about it?

I was at new Benin Market when this thing happened. Which robbers did police kill? Nonsense! Your news on the New Benin market is absolutely false. The robbers successfully robbed victims and shot sporadically. While they were going away from the market, some people decided to pursue them, then the robbers opened fire on the people directly. Some died on the spot, and some were hit by stray bullets.

I was at Total filling station when police came, and from what I saw, only four policemen were on the hilux with only about two of them armed. Some minutes later we saw another Hilux with soldiers fully armed, this was the point relief came. However, the robbers had moved out of the market and followed through a street called Yoruba street close to New Benin.

When the police came, they told the police men that the robbers took that route, instead for the police men to try trace their movement, they got to the junction of the street and probably concluded they've gone or became afraid, then they returned to the market to pick the bodies of those killed by the robbers. What you see in the picture of this news are some of the bodies of those killed by the robbers.

Instead for you to go to the market and take first hand information, you are here spreading nonsense. The robbery at Oba Market was countered by soldiers. Robbers also went to Ekiosa market recently, I don't know what Benin is turning into.

Perhaps, Jamb that was actually organized for such reason didn't lie about it. I am not against noun admitting student strictly, but they should add a little filtering layer to figure out lazy students. Use Jamb or institute a little oral test to screen applicants.

I can bet you that the reasons those Universities write the entrance/qualifying exams is mostly because they have more students applying for less 'spaces'.

If you are mistaking utme for putme, I can send you sources to learn how both came into existence and the reasons for the inventions. Your bet can't outwit what the ex-NUC boss gave out as reason to set up putme. After reading the article below and you still have objections, then cite out your source, I am not a dumb noun product that will accept hypothesis as a theory.

Again, you have always talked about sorting in conventional schools and all sorts, If you think there is no sorting in noun 300L and above, then you just need to hear stories. You still can't change the fact that concessional examination is one way to scrutinize the serious students from the lazy ones.

the content I quoted talked abt Direct Entry and PG. I have 4coursemates who joined at 200 n 300l. they didn't write any form of qualifying exams. my dad started and completed his masters degree without doing any exams

meanwhile, do u know that some Universities don't conduct any post Jamb till date but choose to do certificate verification in lieu

The content says DE/PG in Uniben. Perhaps, my focus point isn't on DE/PG only. So if you think other institutions gives admission without testing its applicants, then that's up to you, but definitely that isn't possible in Uniben. The only exception is on some irrelevant PT programs. It seem you didn't get the full direction of the discussion. Accessing the school on overall standard (100-800L), we are talking on the aspect of discrimination, and are viewing some of the things which made noun undervalued by most Nigerians. My input is, if they must tackle discrimination, they must start from the base level.

And as for your second claim, some institutions uses only utme and don't conduct putme. At least they set a certain criteria on a specific cutoff in utme (my earliest post has this suggestion). This is different from just checking only waec or neco, whereas most SSCE holders in Nigeria actually got their certification through various degree of malpractice. There should be a way to prune these lazy students who wouldn't wanna read but want a degree. Just like the guy I first quoted complained about TMA 30/30 being bought by some noun students. These set of students will still disgrace the school in the future, because they are not ready to learn. An entry test or a specific jamb cutoff will reduce the inflation of such students to the school.

those institutions were not conducting tests from the word go. they only started those when the number of applicants outnumbered the spaces available so as to prune the numbers.

Truly, Jamb was established to coordinate and ensure a uniform national standard of university education due to a sudden surge in the population of admission seekers.

However, before the establishment of JAMB, university admission seekers either gained admission directly through presentation of the General Certificate of Education (GCE A/L) or through concessional entrance examination which could qualify them for admission into Preliminary Level. This means that without presenting the GCE A/L, applicants were accessed through the entrance test. Admitting applicants by only accessing their waec/neco presentation was not in any way used as the only requirement in the early education system. However, if you think the First Generation Universities in Nigeria admitted students with only waec or neco certificates, please endeavor to educate me by presenting the source to such claims.

Again, PUTME has a history in Nigeria. Pruning the number of applicants based on school's capacity wasn't the direct purpose for the invention (Jamb already addressed that). It was learnt that the earliest utme formally called ume, had a high number of impersonations. This was what brought post-utme into existence. The PUTME was aimed at getting qualified/quality candidates into our tertiary institutions, so as to earn the respect of other climes in the country’s education system. Like I earlier stated, please tender your sources if you stand on the contrary.

Nice input. You made clear points there and I agree with you completely on the issues raised and your views. Remember though that HND holders gets 200L in NOUN as against 300L I'm most institutions. And PG admission is like other institutions as well. So, the admission you are referring to is 100L specifically.
The aspect of online facilitation, can you please throw more light please.

In other credible institutions like Uniben for example, whether you present ND, HND or you are applying for a PG program, you must get the DE/PG form and sit for a test. That test is an important part of all admissions which all good institutions handles thoroughly.

For the aspect of online facilitation, the school should do more by making it an essential process for all students. More qualified tutors should be employed to handle the different courses, and there should be a way to detect defaulters who wouldn't participate in it, plus setting a penalty for not taking part. These are some of the things the conventional institutions are doing which gives them all the hype.

If this is implemented, people can no longer bash the school for not holding physical classes to teach the students. Naturally, Nigeria isn't used to this kinda system of studying, and this is another reason the public still look down on the school. Nigerians always want things to come hard, and yes, the harder it is the more valuable it would be for them. This is the mentality of most Nigerians.

I just need something to shun all blabbers up, and let them know that NOUN also produces good graduates like other conventional institutions.

Everybody here has made salient points. It's a good thing this is being discussed on this platform.

I wasn't targeting NOUN's management and staff, but was sharing my concern about how this issue may in the short term and long term affect every stakeholder (NOUN students, alumni, and the institution).

Which is why I said, 'I just wish something can be done about it'. I believe in some ways, this issue may have an impact on

1. Employer's perception of a graduate
2. Public opinion
3. The image of the school

I know it's incredibly tough to battle these challenges, but I just wish something can be done about them. It's definitely not easy managing a distance learning institute, especially here in Nigeria.

Even other universities have their imperfections, but the TMA (30/30) publicity is becoming the 'talk of the town', and its effect on stakeholders cannot be denied. Students from other schools will not understand that the exams are an eliminator for many unserious students (even if that is the case), neither will the employers who may hear about these things from the grapevine. The fact that some folks pay for their TMAs to be done just gives the wrong impression (even though it's not entirely the school's fault).

If the format of the TMA can be changed to curb these unethical practices, it would be great.

My prayer is that more creative ways can be developed to guard against the abuse of the system.

Thank you for your contributions

What measures do you think the school can put in place to ensure this issue is curbed?

Most NOUN students are far better than some students of conventional institutions. But because of the way the school was instituted, our lips are sealed, we cannot boast with our school when in public. It's absolutely bad for us.

You are right from your perspective though, but there are even more challenges which I think the school should look into. Talking about TMA, except you are suggesting that it should be scrapped completely and make the exam over 100, there is no other options that wouldn't bring severe disadvantages when implemented. The main aim of that assignment is to ensure that students put more seriousness having knowing that the TMA score will go long way on total grading. So from the school perspective, students are expected to put more seriousness in studying. To me it's difficult getting a perfect solution to curb the issue while maintaining the relevance of the TMA.

Your three bullet points are essential points the school must deliberate on, and ensure that they provide better solution to restore the school's dignity. But if they must start, when deliberating in the aspect of discrimination, what must first be considered is the mode of admission by NOUN. Just admitting students without setting a proper test is the first thing affecting the school's reputation. If at all they don't want a test, they should use jamb(with a fixed cut-off mark e.g 160 above) as part of the prerequisite for admitting students. Restoring the school's dignity and allowing the employers and the general public value the school's products must first start from my above illustration. Even if TMA is scrapped, people will still discriminate the school and look down on its products. The mode of admission is worst than that 30/30 you are even talking about.

Another one is the aspect of online facilitation. There are much more issues with the school jare...

An atheist like this OP would probably be one of those belonging to the wasted generations in the end.

Wait a minute, do you read the bible at all?

Never mind, the end is not here yet. It's one epidemic the whole world experienced and things began to fall apart. With this, it would be difficult to face the tribulations coming to the heads of the unbelievers like you, except you repent. It has never been this worse globally. This is just the sign of the end time and unless people like you repent, you shall likewise perish...it not me who said so, neither is it a curse. It's in the bible. The era of grace is drawing to an end gradually but deaf-eared people like you would never listen as it was in the day of Noah.

In china where the Corona virus was first detected, how many of them believe in God? I met a chinese who said openly he didn't believe in God. In Italy you mentioned, which used to be the seat of religion, how many of them acknowledge God in their way of life nowadays? The world headquarters of prostitution is Italy...you expect God to stay happy with a country where prostitution is legalised, where dogs have sex with human beings?

What of western countries where porn is legalised and innocent girls are being lured into sex-modeling , where scientists who don't believe on the existence of God thrive? Those who belong to God, even if they contract the disease, would survive it. When a sinner serves punishment, the upright would also have a share of it.

Nigeria is a country so loved by God. He knows we do not have a helper but Him. People have criticised Nigeria all over the world as the only country where there are a large number of churches. Now is the time God is paying His people back for acknowledging Him. Since last December, Nigeria has been witnessing an intensely hot weather. It had rained in Lagos 3 times heavily recently yet, the heat has remained unabated. Researchers have come up with their findings on the Coronavirus that, it cannot thrive under a hot weather and that's why gagging is recommended and use of hot water by the west. If you walk a 100 meters in lagos for instance, same with other parts of Nigeria, the heat that would greet you is huge. People are sweating profusely under their roofs...God had made this happen ahead, knowing fully well we are a helpless people. I've lived in lagos and Nigeria most of my life. I'm in my 40s and the heat since last December has been unprecedented. I wouldn't know if such was experienced before i was born.

This is the time an atheist like you the OP, the scientists whose knowledge and claims have failed them and those who never believe the end could come to this world to think twice. This is just an example of one of the many plagues that would hit the earth at the imminent end time.

You even have the time for that mumu Otem guy. He is the perfect definition for absolute mugu.
