Lol, no bro, it's among the least if not the list moniker on nairaland. It's not my money, it's FG's money, so that makes the moniker same moniker it used to be. FG spend alot of money on this scholarship. They are scholars in imperial college, etc in UK, where the school fees is higher than mine, this is aside the monthly living stipend. My school fees alone is approximately N9m for the two years which has been paid.

If FG should give same money to Nigerian universities, it would have been shared and amounted to nothing. They wouldn't be any technological advancement in any of Nigeria's university. SO it's best when they spend on Foreign schools where they are sure the qualities exist.

One day, I was in Tetfund to enforce a particular tax. I remembered that a certain percentage of CIT (Company Income Tax) about 2% is paid by every company in Nigeria everywhere, that money is collected as education tax by FIRS and given to Tetfund who disburses to Universities.
Of course we know these funds are spent as contracts in various universities and there are tax such contractors are supposed to pay to Fg for executing such contract. Some are collected but one isn't fully enforced. We were told by the Tetfund DoF and also the CPO (Chief Pay Officer) that all fund collected by FIRS for Tefund as education tax is given directly to universities. They do not control what it is used for and how contracts are awarded.

Of course, I am aware that some part of the fund is used to fund both foreign and local education of some lecturers (this is quiet competitive and not often), but the larger part of the fund is given as contract or unaccounted for.

I have also been to the VCs office of some Federal Universities to know how these contracts are awarded and why they are not remitting some of these taxes, but was very shocked to realized how money is just spent by universities.

The entire system is bleeped and we are in big mess. Sorry to say, even if you have Donald Trump as president, it would take atleast 2 decades to sanitize the system. When I visit some of these agencies and see how things are done, I am sad that people are only focused on one side
.

You just answered the question u asked earlier, every citizen living in this country is responsible for failure of this country to acheive great development.

Why do most Nigerians believe they are no sensible enough to handle what those in other countries are doing including Iran? Why do we wish to be them without getting our people to think like them? I see that no matter the kind of leadership we get in Nigeria, it will take decades to get the average Nigerian to think like his mate in developed countries.

But we have driven planes that are even riskier to operate. A NPP is designed to shut itself down in case of any emergency. It did in Chernobyl, it also did in Fukushima. These two accidents occurred because of the Tsunami not because of Reactor problem. And these natural disasters were prepared for but what came was more than what was prepared for. A NPP is safer than Gas Power Plants. No Nuclear operated plant can cause the damage caused by oil exploration in Southern Nigeria.

And no, there has not been any major cancer related issue or mutation experienced from the over 10,000 people who survived Hiroshima accident.

Can someone answer me please? Why do Nigerians wish to be developed but are not getting themselves ready for development? Why do we think we can not operate a Nuclear Power Plant. Terrorism, right? Iran nko? Turkey nko?

For me, we are not matured yet to handle anything nuclear. You are saying this because is ur field of study and u av enough knowledge on it. Due pattern of govt. we are running in this country, our decision making process is very slow and making fast decision is compulsory when running a nuclear plant.
Also,
There will be lack of continuous funding.
Quota system can enable someone that is not adept to take over the affairs of the Nuclear plant at the top.
Issue of Maintenance and so on.

And last time i checked, the incubation period of the virus is 14 days. Abi there own patients never recover finish.?

No, Incubation period is the time in which the virus establish itself into the host system.
It doesn't mean the host will recover rather it will begin to show symptoms.

When Muhammadu Buhari met him in the first place for coalition forces against Boko Haram, he requested for money. And now Boko Haram is terrorizing Chad and he has no option than to fight them. All the 4 countries have to unite against terrorism.

OK, if you were to be chadian president and a whole Nigeria asked you for help to fight boko haram. Would waste your weapons and men out of free will.
Did chadian equip their army without buying the necessary weapon.

So the president of a country being in the front lines is a commendable move?

Hello, if you truly know about leadership, you won't compose what you have up there. So if a confrontation happens and he is shot dead, what would be your conclusion.

Is he a combatant, Airforce or Naval officer. What skill does he have to be in the front lines.

So you expect MTN CEO to climb a Telecom mast when their is a major outage.

It's demoralises, insult and ridicule to the Generals in his cabinet. And same time and insult to his office to have appointed incompetent lots that had to warrant him to go to the frontlines.

We talking about a No 1 man of a country.

Yes, he was once commmander of the army before he planned a coup and became the president. He is capable and experienced military man.

You’re getting the picture Sir.

I could retire cheaper to Mexico than Nigeria. At least in Mexico I won’t have to sink a borehole, buy multiple generators, rebuild screwed up buildings, bribe policemen and thugs, etc

I could simply drive across the border from Mexico to USA every day if I wanted to. I have Nigerian friends who do exactly that.

The issue I’m starting to feel, and frankly it’s getting tedious, is that people are discounting the joy of being back home.

I was watching a documentary on YouTube about Igbo Ora having the worlds highest twin birth rate. I clicked a link a tab onto Google Map and found out that it was a 2 hour drive away. Guess what I did? Took a shower, hopped into my truck and went there for lunch.

Some weeks back I went to Ogbomosho. And before that I went to Ore.

I love Nigeria and I love being here. End of story cool

My hometown, I didn't see this thread earlier I would have hosted you in Ignore.

We indigene of Oyo state wanted them to be sacked. Former governor conducted LG election @7th year of his 8years tenure. Only APC party participated in the election, even people did not vote on the election day because there was no contest. Only their party members voted.

see Islam has done Yoruba land more harm than good
lemme give u an example
ajimobi past oyo governor wanted to restructure d school system in oyo state like it was did in anambra during d time of peter obi
now after extensive research, ajimobi a Muslim, chose to handover d running of public schools in oyo state to private individual or organization to help oyo state dilapidated infrastructure because oyo doesn't have that much money on its hand
now d private individuals or organization were largely Christian and they were ready to buy almost all public schools in oyo state that time
u know what happened
the Muslims Alfa started spreading fake messages all around Ibadan that ajimobi wanted to give the school to ppl who will increase the money and deny many children education
everybody believed this lie including Christians, all school in Ibadan was close then, the office of ajimobi was attacked
now ajimobi suspended all schools then
the Alfas then said that he wanted to return missionary schools to Christian since most public schools in oyo state were missionary schools
they fought ajimobi
in d end ajimobi reversed his decision
now all public schools in oyo are dilapidated, go to any public schools in Ibadan and weep
in waec ranking oyo is behind borno in ranking
see when u igbos make fun of us Yorubas u know we deserve it
because Yorubas Muslim have caused a lot of damage in yoruba land
look at osun also
guy I get many story, lemme leave it at that

So many fake information.

u are somehow dumb
now lemme lecture u on religion in Yoruba land
ekiti and ondo are absolute Christian majority
in osun, osun east and north east are Christian majority
in osun east,Ife ijesha are largely Christian, Ife or ilesa has more population than Oshogbo
Ila orangun, oke Ila in osun has high Christian population
it is iwo ede and Oshogbo d capital that's has high Muslim population
kogi west and kwara south east are majority Christian population
irepodun ekiti oke ero isin LGA are dominated by Christians in kwara
in Oyo state, ogbomosho ibarapa are largely Christian, the oba of ibarapa in oyo south is a Christian
oyo west has Christian, iseyin shaki has 30% Christian
its only northern oyo has has absolute Muslim population kishi iseyin is 70% saki is 60 % oyo is 60 %
Ibadan is a land of immigrants
so Ibadan is 55% Muslims 45 % Christian
ignoring immigrants
past olubadan of Ibadan was a Christian
in ogun state
egba and yewa are largely Christians, they dominate ogun central and west
ijebu and demo
ijebu is 50% Christian 50 % Muslim
ijebu ode oba is Muslim
ijebu Igbo last oba was Christian
remo land where osinbajo and dapo abiodun come from are largely Christian
d akarigbo of remoland has always had Christian oba
awori are 60% Muslim and 40 % Christian
now this my explation
which religion is dominant in sw

Lol, Fallacy. I come from Ibarapa Land. Islam still has the majority though christianity still rising at faster rate than Islam. You are using religion of Oba to generalise the town. Its funny o. All you have above is fallacy.
