As usual oga mi, take this suggestion based on personal permutation from trends noticed lately.

I. Question is are we getting another batch of IL this month? vs embassy used September early ths month slot for the recent IL dispatched for backlog clearance? We can only wait to see by the 3rd week of this month after IR/CR folks have received their IL.

II. If we get another batch by end of this month, we may see 2/3 months cleared at a time e.g January 2023 through March 2023 DQ candidate whose PD is current. If we don't get this month then We are left with IL for maybe 2 months worth of DQ candidates per month from October, November - January . Then we are back to short rationing come february, when we start to see increased Student visa application/ short staffed consulate to cover all this application, etc

III. considering the first 2 months of the fiscal year usually come with increased allocation. Other factors that will play a role is the Visa bulletin Priority date movement for October through December 2023. Going by current rate of 2- 3 months progression of PD for Eb-2 Visa ROW since the last retrogression, We may see IL for January through march (conservative based on applicants still on Queue)
EDIT: reading again, figured the last sentence may be confusing ====> increased rate of current date in visa bulletin, may clog up the IL allocation per us consulate again . I doubt PD for EB-2 ROW will go past January 2023 by december 2023. Eb-3 may return back to late 2022/ early 2023.

IV. strongly believe April DQ candiates should get IL latest Nov/December for January/ February interview (conservative speculation).

Thanks for your very nice predictions and explanation. Hopefully things goes well and they can clear up to June 2023 DQ before the end of Feb 2024. Fingers crossed 🤞

Correct !!!! . I also confirmed from a DEC 2022 DQ Lagos consulate person. So We are left with January 2023 till September 2023 DQ. Means Mr /Mrs Eakilohmen is next on the queue for September/October Interview Letter for November Interview Date. Lagos may gracious it covers till march/April Date (Thinking aloud)

Any idea if next set IL could reach April 2023 DQ? If not, can April 2023 DQ get IL by Nov and Interview in Dec?

There is no whatsApp but a telegram group. The challenge is we have other Nigerians doing consular processing outside Lagos and also few non Nigerians in the group.

I think they stopped at Dec 2022. I already had private chats with people with DQ of Dec 2022, Jan and Feb 2023. The person with Dec 2022 DQ confirmed receipt of IL last night for mid Oct.

I've just received an IL from the Lagos Consulate for 3rd week in October 2023. EB2-NIW. Priority Date: Feb 2022, DQ: September 2022. Hopefully others also received ILs.

I.are you referring to interview letter or your petition/documents is/are yet to be transferred to NVC ?
II. what centre is your document been processed through? Texas or Nebraska processing centre. 5 months of NVC reviewing document seem absurd. Though Texas processing centre is known to be annoying with sending docs to NVC, nonetheless, Contact your attorney /petitioner and use the public enquiry form at NVC.
III. further suggestions is dependent on response of the above question.

No interview letter yet. The issuance based on birthplace could be as a result of Nigerians residing outside Nigeria and doing consular processing from there.

You don't need POF at NVC or interview stage. However, you will need some money to settle accomodation and other things before you land a job. It is good to have a few thousand dollars saved

From an EB1 that I know who interviewed last year. It was all formalities and chit chat....then documents verification.
Basically it was easy.

It is quite frustrating that it is taking quite long to receive IL in Lagos. People in London embassy that are current receives IL within 70 days of DQ.

Based on preference, trying to clear backlog of other category should be the other way round EB-1 -> EB-2 -> EB-3 but you never know the way the embassy -NVC allocate appointment . If last fiscal year is anything to go by, there may be increased EB-2 allocation by end of this fiscal year (August/September IL for October interview) . The last time there was no visa issued at the post was September 2022, The next month had the highest IL for EB-2 for that fiscal year. Let's see what happens. Money on August/september for IL.

I don't know really but I notice that high numbers of EB3 visas were issued. Maybe they had to clear EB3 backlog. Anyway, these are all speculations

I think you should apply for EB1. It is current for rest of the world (ROW).

Eweh...any idea of the DQ getting interview. I see they are issuing the visa though only 1 was issued in February 2023. The numbers should increase in March.
