Seeds of destiny 6th February 2023 - DISCOVERY, A KEY TO DESTINY FULFILMENT

SCRIPTURE: In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Daniel 9:2.

In our day-to-day living, keys are needed to open doors. To open any door in life, a key must be used.

Now, it is very important to know that it is not just enough to have keys; it is very important to have the right keys. It is also very important that you use the right keys in the right ways to have open door. This is because if you don’t use the right keys, you will not be able to open doors.

So, having keys are not enough, it is using the right keys that gives access to or exit from places.

In our study today, we shall look at one key to destiny fulfilment; and it is called Discovery.

In 2 Kings 22:10-13, we see that King Josiah discovered from the Word that he was meant to deliver the children of Israel. As soon as he made the discovery, he ceased all forms of frivolous living and began to live a meaningful life.

Daniel also discovered from Scriptures the number of years that the Israelites were meant to be in captivity (Daniel 9:2 -3). When he discovered that Israel would accomplish seventy years in the desolation, he set his face unto the Lord in prayer and supplication. And God answered his prayers and the captivity was arrested.

You see, when the children of Israel found themselves in the state of captivity, it took the key of the revelation of the Word of God for them to be liberated from that captivity.

So, discovery is a key to destiny fulfilment. The destiny that is not discovered cannot be fulfilled. To maximally fulfil destiny, the key of discovery must be rightly applied.

Beloved, my counsel for you is: pray and discover from Scriptures what you were created by God to do on earth.

Remember this: The destiny that is not discovered cannot be fulfilled.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Go through today’s study again prayerfully.
2. Make up your mind to discover what you are living for and fulfil it.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I ask that You open my eyes to discover what I am living for and fulfil it, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year. 1 Kings 10:23-25.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The wealth of God always follows the wisdom of God.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

All through Scriptures, it is made clear that there is a connection between wisdom and wealth. The manifestation of wisdom always triggers the release of wealth.

Let me give you one example. Pharaoh made Joseph the controller of the wealth of Egypt because of Joseph’s wisdom. Joseph did not only interpret Pharaoh’s dream but prescribed the solution to the famine that was revealed (Genesis 41:39-43).

This means, anywhere wisdom is present, wealth abounds. The wealth of God always follows the wisdom of God.

Also, the Wisdom of Solomon brought wealth to him (1 Kings 10:23-25). King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom; all the earth came to him to hear his wisdom which God has put in his heart, and as they came, they brought silver and gold to him. To hear the Wisdom of Solomon, people brought wealth to him.

So, anywhere wisdom is available, wealth is at home. Wealth travels in the direction of wisdom. So, supernatural wealth would follow supernatural wisdom.

Apart from the cases of Joseph and Solomon, another example that shows that the flow of wisdom would always provoke the flow of abundance is the case of Daniel (Daniel 2:20).

God gave Daniel wisdom and the outcome of that wisdom was that the king gave him many great gifts and made him ruler of the whole province.

No wonder, the wise Daniel also became the wealthy Daniel (Daniel 2:48, Daniel 5:11-12)
Daniel operated at such a supernatural level of wisdom that people compared his wisdom to the wisdom of the holy gods.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

In life, it is very important to know that the extent to which you are trusted determines the extent you can be entrusted. This means, the extent to which you are trusted by God and man is a major factor in determining your level of entrustment by both God and man.

Opportunity, most times, is a product of trust. Our anchor Scripture reveals that Potiphar gave Joseph complete administrative responsibility over everything he (Potiphar) had. With Joseph there, he didn’t worry about a thing—except what kind of food to eat. Potiphar gave Joseph everything and no penny missed.

You know, there are two major evils on earth today – the evil of mammon and the evil of immorality.

Many people trade on human beings or sell human parts because of money. There are many lecturers that no matter what you write in their courses, you would not pass their examinations until you bribe them.

However, it is possible to make temporary gains and end up with permanent losses both in this world and in the world to come. If you doubt me, ask Adam, who ate the fruit he was asked not to eat and lost a whole garden. When Adam ate the fruit he was forbidden to eat, he lost a whole garden with fruits he was licensed to eat.

Similarly, Esau got the food for a moment but he lost his birth right and his blessings forever.
Gehazi also suffered a similar fate – he took the money he was not supposed to touch and acquired generational leprosy.

Judas Iscariot’s story was another disastrous case. He was the treasurer of the Ministry of Jesus Christ. He kept on stealing money from the bag. Nobody told him anything until he decided to sell the Master, Jesus Christ, just to get money. He lost his place, both on earth and in heaven.

Beloved, determine never to be like Esau, Gehazi or Judas Iscariot.
Remember this: It is possible to make temporary gains and end up with permanent losses both in this world and in the world to come.

Our anchor Scripture reveals that it is the Will of God for His children to be made whole in all areas of life. To be whole is to be healed. God wants your soul, spirit and body to remain whole until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now, it is well known that man is a tripartite being. Meaning, man is a three-in-one entity. Man is a spirit who lives in a body and has a soul or mind.

All these three realms of man’s being can be affected with disease. The disease of the spirit is called sin. The disease of the body is the physical ailment. The disease of the mind is mental ailments like depression, insanity, etc.

Now, there are three departments of the mind or the soul. We have the will which is the centre of decision or choice; the intellect which is the centre for learning or intelligence; and also the emotion which is the centre of feeling and wellbeing.

If someone says, “I am not feeling well today. I am feeling low. I am feeling sad. I am feeling depressed.” These are signs of emotional sickness.

You see, apart from mental challenges, the emotion is where most people’s problems lie.

Many people are not physically sick but they are emotionally sick. They suffer from diseases of the mind called emotional diseases that affect their feelings. They have no pain in the body but there is something paining them in their feeling because they are emotionally sick.

You see, a person is not whole when he/she is physically healthy but emotionally sick.
That is not your portion, in Jesus’ Name.

Today, I curse every root of emotional sickness in your life, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Many people are not physically sick but they are emotionally sick.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

You are welcome to the month of February 2023. In this month, I decree that God shall perfect all that concerns you, in Jesus’ Name.

Our anchor Scripture reveals that we are formed by God and for God, for the purpose of showing forth His Praise.

This means, having this understanding and allowing God to run or direct the affairs of your life is genuine praise and worship. Genuine praise requires total surrender. It is coming to the point of recognizing that your life and time on earth are not yours.

Many years ago, we used to sing a hymn from the Methodist Hymnbook and SS & S that says;
Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in endless praise.

When you come to the point where God owns your life and all that you have, you are offering genuine praise and worship to Him. To praise God is to come to the point of recognizing that your life is consecrated to Him. It is to know and acknowledge that there is nothing you have that is yours but God’s. This is because you were formed by God and for God, and not for yourself or society.

Satan runs the lives of all the people in hellfire. That means to go to hell is to surrender your life to the devil. But in Heaven and on Earth, God runs the lives of all those who submit to Him.

Allowing God to own your life is therefore, an expression of praise and worship to Him.

Beloved, determine to surrender or re-dedicate your life to God afresh as a mark of your genuine praise and worship of Him.

Remember this: To praise God is to come to the point of recognizing that your life is consecrated to Him.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

It has been established that the Cross of Calvary is the final straw that broke the back of the devil and the gates of hell. At the Cross of Calvary, many changes or exchanges happened.
Now, let us see examples of the exchange or exchanges that took place at the Cross of Calvary:

i) At the Cross of Calvary, Christ took our sins and gave us His Righteousness.
2 Corinthians 5:21 says,
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.


He took our sin and exchanged or replaced it with His Righteousness at the Cross of Calvary.
ii) At the Cross of Calvary, Christ took our sickness and gave us His health
The second exchange that took place at the Cross of Calvary is, Christ took our sickness and gave us His health. This is why Isaiah 53:4-5 says,

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

At the Cross of Calvary, Jesus took away our sicknesses and diseases (Matthew 8:16-17)
So, at the Cross of Calvary, there was an exchange – Christ took our sickness and weakness and gave us His health, strength and vitality.

Remember this: At the Cross of Calvary, Jesus took away our sicknesses and diseases.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

It has been confirmed that one of the benefits of the Word of God is longevity. Physical life safety or longevity is guaranteed by the steady intake of the Word of God.
Psalm 107:20 says;

He sent his word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction.


When you are connected to the Word of God, your life cannot be easily cut short by any devil no matter how wicked the devil is. The Word of God prevents you from being wasted in life; it prevents you from premature death, destruction, and guarantees your preservation and longevity.

This is because the Word of God is the strength of the child of God.

1 John 2:14 says,

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

One wisdom key to managing offences and offenders is to stay away from them.

You see, when we say you should forgive people, we do not mean you should become their friend. This is because friendship is not by force; it is by choice.


To forgive means to cleanse your heart from the offences. But after you have cleansed your heart from offences, face your life, and if possible, stay far from the offender to avoid further offences. Stay far away from both the offender and his offences.


Many people don’t understand how to manage this. So, they think that when we say forgive, we mean becoming friends with the offenders. No!

Mark 9:43 says,
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

For example, you may have a friend or someone who always leaves you with pain in your heart. The wisdom is to stay far from them.

The question is, do you hate the person? No! Is the person your friend? No! Is he your enemy? No! You only know him but stay away from him and deliver yourself from situations that can give rise to bitterness and unforgiveness.

Even if it is money they are giving you and they are insulting you, reject that money. You must avoid such money even if you are dying of hunger. Don’t ever give the devil the opportunity to cast you down. Stay away from anything that tampers with your joy.

It has been established that the Glory realm is the God-realm; and the Glory realm is the realm of believers.

God did not create us to live in shame and reproach. You cannot show forth the glory of God when your life is characterized by shame and reproach. Now, one key to experiencing the Glory is engaging the Spirit of God.

Another outcome of engaging the Spirit of God is insight into our God-ordained inheritance
To have insight into your ordained inheritance in God, you must engage the Spirit of God. When you engage the Spirit of God, you have insight into your God-ordained inheritance. Engaging the Spirit of God makes you get to know what is yours from God or what belongs to you in God.

It has been established that the world is a battle ground. satan is always walking about like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour. So, he creates battle situations around people, especially children of God.

In our study today, we shall look at two areas of battle satan creates around the lives of God’s people.


i. Depression (1 Kings 19:4).
The garment of heaviness is a weapon satan uses as a battle against believers. The devil tries to weigh people down in order to slow them down because whatever weighs you down slows you down. Depression or heaviness takes away your happiness and joy. satan organizes several things to make people sad and depressed.

ii. Deprivation (2 Cor. 8:9).
Another weapon satan uses to fight us is deprivation. Deprivation is a sponsor of poverty. It is a situation of lack, scarcity, and shortage where the enemy tries to cut off your supplies by all means.

Many people struggle to eat or feed because of the enemy’s weapon of deprivation. We see many people going through near-success syndrome or failure at the edge of breakthrough. It looks as if the more they pursue good things, the more good things run from them.
Apart from isolated cases, this usually happens when a person does not walk in covenant practices, among other things.

So, the enemy uses deprivation to fight the destiny of people. This is because when your hands are empty financially, there are many things you cannot do. People have died preventable deaths because of lack of money.

Sometime ago, I heard a story of someone who was in a critical health condition, and needed an emergency surgery. He had an injury that damaged his abdomen and needed an emergency explorative laparotomy.

But he was released from the hospital and sent back home because he had no money to pay for the surgery. And that was a very wicked thing for any doctor to do. Save life first and seek money later.

That will never be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

Sometime ago, a pastor came to me and said, “Sir, it looks as if my fire has reduced.” I told him that I would prescribe a treatment for him.

I told him to embark on three days of prayer and fasting without food, and pray for an average of five to seven hours daily.


I also told him to read the entire Book of Acts of the Apostles within the three days of prayer and fasting. At the end of the three days, he should come back and tell me if he would not be on fire. That is the kind of exercise to embark on when your spiritual temperature goes down.

Beloved, the Holy Spirit helps us to operate and pray with fire; your life becomes a fire centre when you engage or pray in the Holy Ghost.

Romans 8:26 says,
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Beloved, do you notice a reduction in your spiritual fire? Are you struggling to pray? Do you find it difficult to read or study the Word of God? Are you weak or lethargic spiritually? You need fervency in the Spirit so you don’t become vulnerable to the enemy.

I counsel you to adhere to the counsel I gave to the pastor above and your spiritual fire would be rekindled.

Bribery has become a social, cultural and economic epidemic in our society today. We live in a generation where bribery has eaten deep into the fabrics of our society.

Someone expects to be given money or a gift before doing their jobs, even for something as little as pushing a file. Every form of inducement is evil before God.


Some people give out contracts to contractors with the agreement to get certain amount of money from the contractors after the contracts are executed. It is a terrible practice.

Some government officials who work with regulatory bodies usually take advantage of the organizations they regulate. When they go for regular supervisory assignments, they expect the organizations being supervised to give them money in order to write good reports about them.

For instance, when a school which has met all requirements for accreditation is being supervised, the supervisory team still expects the school management to bribe them before they accredit the school. That is a corrupt practice!

The people who expect to be given such money are in the same class with those who encourage them by giving it to them. This is because if one person says NO, and another person says NO, and a third person says NO….then the system has begun to change for good.

Beloved, what to do if such evil demands for money are made is to ask the people making them to bring official receipts that can be acknowledged and presented to authorities later to show that such money was collected. Make up your mind to influence society and systems positively.

The glory of God has been confirmed to be a major secret of outstanding existence on earth. Moses was one man who experienced the glory of God, and he lived an outstanding life.

It is important to know that before Moses left the earth, the glory produced some physical miracles in his life.

Now, what miracles did the glory produce in the life of Moses?

Vibrancy of health (Deuteronomy 34:7).
Moses could have been a permanent victim of weakness or health breakdown considering his difficult assignment and hectic schedules, but he never broke down once because of the glory of God on his life.
Buoyancy of strength (Deuteronomy 34:7).
Moses’ natural strength did not reduce. There are people that are healthy but not strong. They may not have malaria, typhoid, High Blood Pressure, or ulcer but they don’t have energy; they are not strong. Moses had vibrancy of health and buoyancy of strength.
Clarity of mind (Deuteronomy 34:7).
At the age of one hundred and twenty years, his mind was still clear, he was still receiving Word from God, documenting and declaring them.
Beloved, you are too young to suffer mental confusion.
Sharpness of sight (Deuteronomy 34:7).
The eyesight of Moses was not dim. Moses could see as clear as he ever saw. You need sharpness of sight to fulfil destiny.
I decree that short-sightedness, glaucoma and cataract, astigmatism, retinal detachment and anything that has put your eyes under pressure dies now in Jesus’ Name.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Proverbs 23:7 makes it clear that you are the product of your thought. By extension, it means, your mentality determines your reality.

Let me give you one example. The prodigal son was wasting his life in prodigal living in a foreign land, in abject frustration. Then suddenly, his mind changed; he came to himself and began to think.

Luke 15:17-18 says,
17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

In verse 17, he began to think, and in verse 18, he took an action. And when his action changed, his outcome changed.

When he came home, his father saw him from afar and ran to him. His father had compassion on him, gave him a purple cloth, a ring, and killed the fatted calf to celebrate his return.

This happened because his thought changed. When thought changes, action must also change; and when action changes, outcome must change.

So, until thought is right, action cannot be right; and until action is right, outcome cannot be right.

It is also important to know that the deeper your thought, the better your action; and the better your action, the brighter your outcome and your future. The life of a mad man is at zero level because his thought is at zero level. That shall not be your portion in Jesus Name.

Remember this: When thought changes, action must also change; and when action changes, outcome must change.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

The Scripture makes it clear that prosperity is the Will of God for His people.

Zechariah 1:17 says,
Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

However, even though prosperity is God’s Will for His children, many children of God have not touched the wealth of the Kingdom because of a poverty-centred mind-set.


Both wealth and poverty are products of mind-set. Wealth is a lifestyle sponsored by a mind-set; similarly, poverty is also a lifestyle sponsored by a mind-set.

There is a way poor people think regarding money and there is a way wealthy people think regarding money. A poor-minded person thinks of what to buy when he gets some money but a wealth-minded person thinks of how to multiply the money that comes his way.

Poor people have a hunter’s mentality towards money – kill and eat. Rich people have a shepherd’s mentality towards money – breed and multiply. A man with a poverty mentality can buy an expensive pair of shoes, yet he doesn’t have any money saved in his account. When you see a rich man with an expensive pair of shoes, he may be worth hundreds of millions of naira. Poor people do the things that sponsor poverty and rich people do the things that increase their riches.

Beloved, your mentality determines your reality. Always make up your mind to think positively and productively.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Gifts and potentials are the pathway to destiny. Your gifts and potentials create the pathway to your destiny.

So, one way to live a fulfilled life and destiny is to discover and deploy your potentials. Your potentials are critical to your possibilities in life.

That means you must know your potentials, gifts and endowments. You must know what God has loaded into you. You must know your graces and capabilities. Know what you carry.

Now, why must you identify your gift or potential?

a) Your gift is key to your lift in life
A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth (or lifteth) him before great men. (Proverbs 18:16, paraphrased)
Joseph was lifted from the prison to the palace by a gift, the gift of dream interpretation.

b) Your potential is your vehicle to prominence
This also means that your potential is your vehicle to the palace. Your potential will take you to your palace. Samuel anointed David but what eventually took David to the palace was his gift that was exposed (1 Samuel 16:17-21).

Beloved, there is something you carry that will make you to effortlessly stand before principalities and powers, and great men and great women. Your gift or potential is your vehicle to prominence; your potential is your vehicle to the palace.

c) Your potential is key to the realization of vision
Your potential is key to the realization of your vision and purpose for living. Your potential is the key that grants you access to the realm of the vision and purpose of your life.

The gift of dreaming and the interpretation of dreams made the vision of Joseph to finally come to pass. He interpreted the butler’s dream and the butler reported it to Pharaoh (Genesis 41:9). Joseph, by deploying his gifts, eventually fulfilled his purpose on earth.
Remember this: What will take you to the palace is your potential.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Your contribution in life has been confirmed to be a critical factor in your destination in life. Your impact affects your outcome. This is an important lesson for life and destiny.

To understand this better, ask yourself, “What is the meaning of my life to those who live around me? What is the meaning of my life to the men and women who know me? What is the benefit of my existence to the world around me?”

The answer you give to the questions above determines how far you can go in life. The benefit of your life to those around you affects how far you can go. Who you touch determines where you can reach. The number of people your life is touching positively will determine how far your life can reach on earth.

In Acts 9, a young woman called Dorcas, was full of good works and alms deeds. She died and Peter was called to intervene in prayers for her restoration to life. The widows showed Peter the good deeds of Dorcas to them.

It appears to me as if one of the widows told Peter, “Dorcas bought us food for the Easter celebration when we didn’t have food”. Another widow may have said, “Dorcas bought Christmas clothes for my children and me”.

Then they began to weep before Peter. This greatly moved Peter to a point where he could have said something like: “This woman is too useful to leave the earth just like this.” Then he prayed and Dorcas came back to life.

The truth is, the number of people who benefit from your existence determines how long you will last or how well you will live on earth.

So, don’t let the devil render you useless because of personal problems or challenges. It is possible that you have a challenge but there are people who have more challenges than you. If you can reach out to such people, God will reach out to you.

In the New Testament, we understand that the tithe is a basic minimum thing a child of God should do. As New Testament Christians, our realm is the realm of sacrifice.

So, anyone struggling with tithing either does not know God or has never encountered Him. Anyone who argues about the tithe and condemns it does not really know the essence of the tithe.

You see, we cannot claim to have given our lives to God (Romans 12:1-2) if we still struggle with paying tithe. Tithing is the most basic thing every dedicated child of God should do as far as covenant practices are concerned.

People who doubt the reality of the tithe do not know God. You cannot give yourself to God and be struggling with giving Him a penny.

The question is, between yourself and your money, which is greater and more valuable?
I can tell you that even the devil in hell is aware that I have given myself to the Lord many years ago. To confirm this, I have emptied my accounts in millions of Naira several times for God and my life has never remained the same.

Beloved, the giving of your resources to God is an expression of the total donation of your life to Him. When you withhold your resources from God, it only shows you have not totally dedicated yourself to Him.

Remember this: Tithing is the most basic thing every dedicated child of God should do as far as covenant practices are concerned.

ASSIGNMENT:

Refuse to be swayed by prevalent negative teachings about the tithe, especially on social media.
Tithe with the revelation of what you are doing.

It has been established that Divine Direction is critical for maximizing a new season of life. God’s Voice is critical to maximizing new seasons in life.

God is always speaking; the problem is that we do not always hear or understand what God is saying per time.


For example, in the city of Abuja, Nigeria, there are many radio stations like Cool FM, Hot FM, Aso Radio, Ray Power FM, etc. These radio stations are broadcasting all the time, even at the moment but you cannot hear their broadcast because you are not tuned in to their frequencies.

In the same way, God is always saying something but we are not always prepared to hear Him.


So, you need to make up your mind to hear God before you make any move this year.
When you take time to listen to God, He may tell you something like: “This year, pay closer attention to your last child and make sure he is not influenced by peer pressure.” He may tell you: “Pull out your money from that investment because it is going to crash.”

God is always saying something. Try to know what God is saying per time.

Sometime ago, some people introduced some stocks to us to invest in. So, we gave them some money to help us invest. Suddenly, one day, the Holy Spirit said to me, “Move that money out now!” So, we pulled out the money from the investment that very day. Everything crashed the following day, and many people lost billions of Naira.

You see, it is not possible to suffer drastic losses when you listen to God. So, I counsel you to prioritize the Voice and Direction of God this year.
