TOPIC: Dealing With The Emotional Disease Of Fear (Seeds Of Destiny 4 March 2023)

SCRIPTURE: For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. Job 3:25.


THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Fear comes into play when someone feels threatened that danger, pain or harm is ahead.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

It is well known that man is a tripartite being. That is, man is three in one – man is a spirit that lives in a body and has a soul (or mind).

Now, all these three realms of man’s being can be affected by diseases. The disease of the spirit is called sin. The disease of the body is physical bodily ailment while the disease of the mind is mental ailment.

The mind also has three departments, and they are: the will, the intellect and the emotion.


In our study today, we shall look at one example of diseases that affect the emotion. They are called emotional diseases, and today, we shall look at the emotional disease called FEAR.

1 John 4:18 says, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment..

Fear is an emotional disease because fear is associated with emotional torment and trauma.

Fear has the capacity to attract the physical equivalent of what you fear (Job 3:25). For instance, when you give yourself to the fear of diseases, you attract the diseases that you fear. Similarly, when you are afraid of premature death, you attract it. But that will not be your portion in Jesus Name!

The Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary defines fear as an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain or harm. Fear comes into play when someone feels threatened that danger, pain or harm is ahead.


Now, one major cause of fear is repeated personal or family cycle or history of negativity or adversity.

If there is a negative personal or family cycle or history, it can be a cause for fear.

Beloved, my counsel is, refuse to fear because God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Remember this: Fear comes into play when someone feels threatened that danger, pain or harm is ahead.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Sometime ago, one of the young men that grew up with me was talking with me on phone. He said to me, “Sir, I thank God for your life. You are one of the people God has helped to maintain a dimension of the glory that existed in their generational line. You are one of those who ensure that their father’s names are not lost. We used to hear of your father’s name in those days”.


I was surprised at what he said. It reminded me of what another young man who I prayed for and assisted, told me. God has helped this other young man and he is now doing very well in life. This was what he told me: “You assisted me to ensure that my father’s name is not lost. My father used to be an important person in those days.”

You know, Abraham’s father, Terah, was destined to be great but his greatness was cut short. But when Abraham came on-board, he realized that greatness. Abraham achieved the greatness his father could not achieve.

Many times, we have heard some people say, “I inherited nothing from my lineage other than liabilities.” And when you look at the lives of such people, their fathers may not have lived exemplary lives. They may be people like native doctors, diabolic or occultic people.

But to you, beloved, I say, “Congratulations” because God is using you to start a new generation with a positive example of impact and greatness. Even if you inherited nothing from your parents, God will use you to start and perpetuate a new order of glory, honour, fame, and dignity that will be transferred to your next generation after you.

I decree that your glory shall not only rise; it will also be transferred to your children and to generations after you, in Jesus Name.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023

In Daniel Chapter Two, we understand that king Nebuchadnezzar had a troubling dream but forgot it upon waking up. He knew that there was a mystery around the dream he had. So, he called all the magicians and the wise men of Babylon to dissolve the mystery around his dream by revealing and interpreting it.

Unfortunately, the magicians and wise men were unable to reveal the dream and unravel the mysteries around it. This made Nebuchadnezzar to issue a decree that all the wise men of Babylon should be killed.

As a result of this decree, they sought for Daniel and his companions to kill them. Then, Daniel went to the king and demanded for time that he would reveal the mystery around the dream he had.

Daniel went to his house and made this known to his companions; he requested that they should desire the mercies of the Lord of heaven concerning the dream of the king and its interpretation. As they prayed, God revealed the secret to Daniel in a night vision. Then, the mystery around the dream of Nebuchadnezzar was dissolved.

You see, the unveiling of mysteries is key to dissolving them. When issues are shrouded in darkness, it is difficult to resolve them.

But when light comes, darkness bows out. The reason for lingering mysteries, challenges, curses, or spells in life is the absence of light.

Today, I decree that God shall give you light to unravel and dissolve every mystery around your life in Jesus’ Name.

It has been confirmed that every part of your body and being has a function God created it to perform.

The breath of life in your nostrils was given to you to perform an assignment, and that assignment is praising God.
So, if you do not have breath, you can close your mouth and not praise God. But if you have breath, you must praise the Lord. And if you are alive and you refuse to praise the Lord, it means you hate the breath of life.

Your praise is the tenancy you pay for your continuous existence. Or rather, put it this way: Your praise is what justifies and authenticates your breath. It is what confirms that the breath you have is not a waste.

People who do not praise God with their lives are telling God that they are not qualified to live.

I want you to know that a criminal who refuses to go to church on Sunday morning but plays or watches football only lives to tell God that he is undeserving of the breath of life in his nostrils.

When God says that everything that has breath should praise Him, He is not referring to human beings only but everything that has the breath of life. This means, the birds too should praise God. That is why you hear birds sing songs and chirp melodiously as an expression of their praise and worship to God.

Hopelessness has been identified as a trap of the enemy to frustrate the people of God. Hopelessness is a situation where a person doesn’t see any future ahead of them. A hopeless person looks forward to nothing good in life.

Hopelessness makes a person to be depressed even in the midst of abundance.


Psalms 42:5 says,
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

Where there is no hope, there is no help; the loss of hope is the lack of help. Hopelessness is helplessness. Even God cannot help a man who has no hope because faith is the substance of things hoped for.

So, without hope, there cannot be faith, and without faith, God cannot be pleased because without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11: 6).

Also, where there is no hope, there can be no change.

Job 14:14 says,
If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

Whenever you give up, you go down. Whenever you give up, it is impossible to go up.

Hope says, “My story will change some day. God is too faithful to fail. The devil can never defeat God in my life. The Word of God is true in my case and to him that is joined to the living, there is hope.”

Beloved, make up your mind and refuse to be hopeless. Put your hope in God and in His Word.

Remember this: Even God cannot help a man that has no hope because faith is the substance of things hoped for.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

It has been established that the Joy of the Lord is the strength of God’s children (Nehemiah 8:10). The Joy of the Lord is the secret of the strength of the saints.

Now, one way of generating the Joy of the Lord is praying in the Spirit. Praying in the Spirit facilitates the supply of worship and praise in prayer.


Anyone who knows how to pray in the Spirit will also know how to worship and praise God. And worship is an ingredient for answered prayer.

Romans 14:17 says,
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Ghost is a Custodian of joy and so, when you pray in the Holy Ghost abundantly, there is a flow of joy and praise which further gives you access to God’s Presence.

Ephesians 5:18-20 says,
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Many times when you pray in the Spirit, you are giving thanks. Worship is heightened and amplified in the spirit. And you see, anywhere God sees thanksgiving, He would manifest His Presence and Power.

My counsel is, pray in the Spirit, not only in the Church but anywhere and everywhere you find yourself.

Remember this: Anyone who knows how to pray in the Spirit will also know how to worship and praise God.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

The Scripture makes it clear that God delights in the prosperity of His servants (Psalm 35:27). God intends to expand His Kingdom through Kingdom wealth. There is a righteous way of making money.

Evil money or making money by dubious means, on the other hand, is not the Will of God for His children.


One example of evil money is the proceeds of stealing and cheating. That is, the proceeds of theft.

Jeremiah 22:13 says,
Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour’s service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;

This involves taking what is not yours. If someone is not watching over his property and you decide to take it secretly; that is stealing. If someone mistakenly overpays you for a transaction and you refuse to return the excess payment; that is called stealing. The person who overpaid you might have made a mistake, but you did not make any mistake. You may think that it is favour, but it is not. It is pure theft and stealing.

When you take money that is not yours, that money is evil money. Anything in your possession that God did not give you or you did not earn by labour or by favour does not add to you; rather, it subtracts from you.

Cheating could arise from business or contract agreements. Entering into a business agreement with people and refusing to honour it is cheating. If, for instance, you agreed on a business deal with someone that after execution, the profit should be shared at the ratio of 70:30, but at the end of the deal, you refused to give the other person his agreed 30% and gave him only 5% instead; the 25% you kept back is stealing, it is evil money. The extra money you collected from him to add to yours will ruin your fortune and entire life. Beware!

Remember this: When you take money that is not yours, that money is evil money.

ASSIGNMENTS:

Refuse to indulge in every form of evil money.
Don’t participate in cheating or stealing.

The quality of your thought and life is enhanced when you think thoughts like, “Why am I here? What am I meant to do with my life? What does the Bible say about my life? What does God say about my future?” etc.

So, settle for quality meditation and thinking.

ii. By quality information (Romans 12:1I).
There are people whose lives are filled with junk materials. They fill their mind with gossip novels and movies that add nothing to their lives.

You see, the quality of your information affects the quality of your decision. You must not allow days to be passing without learning anything. When your mind is renewed, your life is upgraded (Romans 12:1I). An old mind is the reason for an old unchanged life. If you want your life to change progressively, renew your mind with the Word of God.

iii. By Quality Association
Thought quality can be enhanced by the quality of association (Prov. 13:20). You cannot be a fool and walk with wise people. You cannot be a dullard when you walk with intelligent people. The quality of your association limits your destination.

My counsel is, make up your mind to enhance the quality of your thought by quality meditation, information and association.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Sometime ago, a young lady, who is a member of our church, was travelling from one place to another, and decided to take the Communion Bread and Wine.

Something terrible happened in the course of that journey: The vehicle she boarded had an accident, and she was the only survivor. What happened that she alone survived the accident? She took the Holy Communion, and declared, “I shall not die on this journey” before embarking on the journey.


Another sister also testified in church of how the Holy Communion stopped mass deaths of fishes in her fish farm. She said her fishes were dying anyhow in her farm. So, she drained out the water in the fish pond, refilled it with fresh water, and served the fishes the Holy Communion. She said that was the end of the mass deaths; no fish died again.

You see, the Communion is necessary both for the preservation and healing of God’s people.

A brother in church also testified of how the application of the Communion of Escape and the Oil of Preservation miraculously preserved his office from being burnt after the entire building caught fire. He said on the fateful day, the building suddenly caught fire and got burnt. However, miraculously, his own office was not burnt beyond the floor. Another miracle, he said, was that even though the floor was burnt, his documents that were on the floor were not burnt while other people’s documents on the floor were burnt.

So, he did not only escape the fire, his documents also escaped being burnt, all by the power of the Holy Communion and the Anointing Oil.

You see, there is power in the Communion and the Anointing. When you connect with the mysteries of God in the Communion and the Anointing Oil, everything about you shall escape any disaster programmed by the enemy against you.

Remember this: The communion is necessary both for the preservation and healing of God’s people.

Now, to exist in distinction and excellence is to live a life of massive impact and exploit to an extent that your name is enlisted in both God’s and men’s book of honour. To exist in distinction and excellence means to exist as an honourable personality and a profitable citizen of the earth. It means you are not living as a liability. It is living as a generational blessing, and not a burden.

Beloved, it is very important to know that existence in excellence and distinction requires the God-first mentality. The God-first mentality is a principal key of existence in distinction and excellence.

The God-first mentality or Kingdom addiction is the most important key to existence in distinction and excellence. It is living a life of dedication to God and His Kingdom that distinguishes people on earth and sets them apart from their peers. What God uses to make His children stand out in life is the God-first mentality or addiction and dedication to the cause of the Kingdom.

To exist in excellence and distinction, you must be addicted to God the way some people are addicted to cocaine, marijuana or alcohol. When you are addicted to God, you are high, not on cocaine or Indian hemp, but on the Most High. Being high on the Most High is the highest form of getting high. It is a form of dedication that makes you totally sold out to God.

Remember this: The God-first mentality or Kingdom addiction is the most important key to existence in distinction and excellence.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023

The Scripture makes it clear that one way God expands His Kingdom is through the prosperity of His people (Zechariah 1:17). Therefore, God is delighted in the prosperity of His servants because when His servants prosper, His Kingdom also prospers (Psalm 35:27).

In our study today, we shall look at the fact that both prosperity and poverty are products of mentality. Poverty is not the absence of money and wealth is not the presence of money.

A person is not poor because he lacks money and a person is not rich because he has money. Money will not make a poor man rich and the absence of money will not make a rich man poor. Poverty and prosperity are products of mentality. Those who are poor lack a certain mentality and those who are wealthy have a certain mentality.

Proverbs 23:7 says,
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…’

There is no amount of money that you give a man who is bankrupt of mentality that can make him rich.

I have seen people who got into political offices and became wealthy overnight, and also became paupers overnight after leaving the office, all because of bankruptcy of mentality. That is why many politicians struggle to remain in office for life because they cannot survive outside the office.

You see, real wealth begins by mental renovation while scarcity is a product of mental bankruptcy.

My counsel for you today is, make up your mind to renew your mind. Upgrade your mentality and your financial status will also be upgraded.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

In life, it is very important to know that direction determines destiny. To reach where you are going, you must know where you are going, and how to get there.

You see, to be under solid direction and instruction is to be guaranteed a solid destiny. That is why anybody who is too big to be instructed or directed is too small to fulfil destiny.

Some people are so proud and arrogant that they receive instruction or correction from nobody. They are missing their way in life, yet, they would not ask. They keep telling themselves, “I shall find it myself.”

When you try to help and ask them, “Where are you going?” They would tell you, “Don’t worry. Relax. I will find my way.” And by the time they reach the wrong destination, they would realise that they had wasted their time and opportunities.

Now, one way God leads or guide His people is by giving them pastors and prophets (Jeremiah 3:15).

You see, a young lady who refused to be instructed by her pastor, some seventeen years ago, may remain unmarried today because of her refusal to be guided. Her pastor might have tried to instruct her, “Please come let me talk to you”, but she refused to listen to the pastor. And so, she remained a single lady instead of being married because of her arrogance.

The truth is, who you hear determines who hears you; who you listen to determines who listens to you. There are people who come to church and listen to the message with one ear, and the word goes out through the other ear.

If you don’t want to miss road in life, you must identify who will talk to you; you must settle down to identify your prophet.

1 Samuel 3:21 says,
And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.

So, when God’s Word comes, God Himself appears. The Word of God connects one to God’s Presence, that is, the Presence of God is in His Word.

Anywhere God’s Word is, His Presence is also there. This is why John 1:1-5 says,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Every time you see a worded person, you feel God. God’s Word carries the same power as the Presence of God. So, when you see a worded person, you feel God’s Presence.

For example, when you hang around people like Papa E. A. Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Kenneth Copeland, you just feel God’s Presence around them because they are worded people.

My counsel is, load yourself with the Word and God’s Presence will continue to abide with you.

Remember this: When you see a worded person, you feel God’s Presence.

ASSIGNMENTS:

Make up your mind to prioritize the Word of God.
Meditate on the Word and store it in your heart (Luke 2:52).

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

It has been established that the tithe is God’s portion in man’s possession. The tithe is the Lord’s and it should be given to Him. God allowed a portion of His money in your possession, called the tithe, to test your obedience in giving it back to Him.

Now, it is important to know the significance of the tithe or what it proves in order to practice it correctly. Many people do not pay tithe because of ignorance. They erroneously believe that the tithe is being paid to a pastor or a church. This is not true! Knowing what the tithe proves or signifies will clear all doubts and make us see the necessity of its practice.

What does the tithe prove or signify?
The tithe is first a confirmation of wilful obedience to God in all matters, especially in financial matters.

This means, the payment of the tithe is what confirms man’s obedience to God in all areas of life, especially in the area of money. The truth is, you do not know a person’s spirituality until you test them around money. This is why the Bible makes it clear that you cannot serve God and mammon (Matthew 6:24).

Now, I want you to look at the tithe as a kind of instruction God gave Adam in the Garden of Eden concerning the forbidden fruit. God gave Adam the permission to eat the fruit of all the trees in the garden except the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This fruit looked more like the tithe of the garden. The fruit of this tree must not be eaten. But when Adam ate the fruit, he lost the whole garden. That will not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

My counsel is, be faithful to God in the payment of your tithe.

It has been confirmed that every product on earth is made of a combination of forces, factors, raw materials, or organs.

For example, in the university system, you have various departments or units. You have the vice chancellor who oversees the entire university. You have the registrar, the accounting and bursary staff; other academic and non-academic staff, etc. Everything works together in synergy to ensure the university system functions effectively.

In the same manner, some factors or forces must be in place for a person’s destiny to be fulfilled.

Now, what are these factors or forces?
i. The force of spirituality (Isaiah 37:31).
How far you go with God determines how far you can go in life. The buoyancy of your relationship with God determines the vibrancy of your life on earth. Progress with God is progress indeed. You cannot lag behind in life when you go far with God.

ii. The force of mentality (Prov. 23:7).
Mentality sets the pace for destiny. It is the pacesetter for destiny. The mind of a man determines his limits in life. Where the mind stops working, life stops working. The reason why the life of a mad man does not work is because his mind is not working. What goes on in your mind affects what goes through your life.

iii. The force of potentiality (Matthew 25:14-15).
Potential is the food for destiny. Between your current position and your destination is the potential you deploy. Your capability will affect your manifestation and outcome on earth.

Beloved, I counsel you to prioritize each of the outlined forces of destiny above and your life will take a new turn positively.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

In the journey of life, I have discovered that confrontations can come without invitation or even provocation. Some confrontations could be in the form of attacks on health.

Someone can slip into ill-health because of a satanic confrontation or an attack on the body. All these are attacks on one’s faith.


People can also slip into ill-health by carelessness. Sin can be a major cause of ill-health.


Now, how do you regain your health if you fall sick? The following are some avenues and provisions for recovery of health.

i. Confession and forgiveness of sins (James 5:16).

This is a situation where you go before God confessing your sins and obtaining forgiveness. You present yourself before God and say, “O Lord, in case, there is something that I am doing that is not right; something that may have brought this sickness upon me, or any way in my life the door to affliction was opened through sin; I ask for your mercy and forgiveness.”

ii. Prayer of faith (James 5:15).

This is when someone, probably higher in faith than you, or even someone at the same level of faith with you, comes into the agreement of faith with you and prays with you, so you could get out of any attack on your health.

You know, it is a proof of pride when people say, “Nobody can pray with me”. It is important for someone to join faith with you in prayers if that is necessary.

What is my counsel? Present yourself before God and ask for mercy in case the cause of your illness is sin. Coming into prayer of agreement with someone to obtain wholeness is a pathway to healing.
