TOPIC: The Trap Of Bitterness (Seeds Of Destiny 1 June 2022)

SCRIPTURE: And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not everyone his brother their trespasses. Matthew 18:34-35.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today MESSAGE:

Welcome to the Month of June, 2022. We appreciate God for bringing us to the sixth month of the year. He who has begun a good work in our life shall complete it, in Jesus’ Name.

We shall begin our study this month with the subject of unforgiveness. Unforgiveness or bitterness has been identified as a trap the enemy uses to destroy many lives.

Unforgiveness is a situation where you feel so terribly offended by someone that you become bitter against the person. And you know, the worst form of offence usually comes from those who are meant to love you or those you assisted but later turned against you. They could be your parents, siblings, uncles, cousins, friends, etc.

This is why Matthew 10:36 says:
And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
The devil can purposely send people to offend you unto destruction. Please know that not every agent of the devil comes to attack you with a gun. There are many agents of the devil who come to attack you with “offence.” and after the offence comes bitterness, and bitterness invites torment (Matthew 18:34-35).

Sometime ago, a lady came to my office on two crutches. She was about to get married at that time but had an accident. Her two big thigh bones broke. As I was about to pray for her, the Holy Spirit said to me, “Tell her to go and forgive”. When I told her to forgive, she agreed and went away and I did not see her again. I did not know that she was bitter against many people.

After many years, while I was dedicating children on the Altar of our Church on a Sunday morning, I saw her on her two feet walking perfectly. She had been healed, got married and was at the Altar to dedicate her child.

When I asked her what happened, she said, “Sir, you told me to go and forgive. I went and forgave and I was healed”. She is a dedicated member of the church workforce and has three children now.

You see, unforgiveness is a trap of the enemy. Refuse to be trapped by unforgiveness. Release and forgive all those who have offended you.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today MESSAGE:

Our anchor Scripture confirms that no one can be blessed by God until he is a blessing. God told Abraham, I will bless you and thou shall be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). When you make up your mind to live as a blessing especially to the poor, then you trigger the Blessing upon your life (Psalm 41:1-3). This is an activation key to the blessing.

God blesses us to the capacity to which we agree to be a blessing. The extent you are willing to be a blessing is the extent to which you will be blessed by God.

Being a blessing entails being a blessing to the Kingdom of God and to humanity especially the poor. When your life is flowing like a river reaching out to the poor, to the Kingdom, family members, etc. it cannot dry.

In Psalm 132:1-5, we see how David decided to be a blessing to the Kingdom of God and that decision brought him to a realm of irrevocable blessing (1 Chronicles 29:1-3).

Beloved, it is a new day for you. The Blessing of God is coming on you as you make yourself a flowing river of blessing to others, in Jesus’ Name.

MESSAGE:

Recorded events in Scripture and experiences of people in contemporary times have made it clear that it takes a greater force, which is the force of God’s Blessing, to overcome the forces acting against the lives and destinies of people.

Abraham’s father, Terah, was going to Canaan but he died on the way, in the land of Haran (Genesis 11:26-32). He had three sons: Nahor, Abram, and Haran, the father of Lot. Haran died before his father. Nahor existed without relevance. So, in their family, they had the trinity of starting without finishing, living without relevance and dying before time. That trinity of calamity existed in Abraham’s family before the Blessing came upon him. The Blessing distinguished him and made him the first to fulfil destiny. So, the Blessing of God in the life of a person forbids the existence of barriers and embargoes. It empowers the blessed to exist as a barrier breaker, obstacle crosser, limit breaker and territory taker. It also establishes the blessed as a generational pacesetter, standard bearer and reference point.


Beloved, when the Blessing is upon you, you reach where no one in your family has reached. So, do not be afraid of daring the undareable if the Blessing of God is upon you.

I declare that where your family members have never reached in life, you are reaching and going beyond there by the power of the Blessing, in Jesus’ Name.

The Blessing is the divine powering or motorization of human life and destiny unto success and progress. The Blessing is a speed booster for life and destiny.

The difference between a blessed person and an unblessed person is like the difference between a canoe and a speed boat. And the major thing that differentiates a canoe from a speedboat is the engine that powers the boat to move with speed. By the time a person with a speed boat has crossed a river to the other side and returned, the person with a canoe is still paddling, struggling to cross the river. They are crossing the same water but with different equipment.

Now, when the Blessing, which is now like an engine, let me call it a blessinator, is connected to a person’s life and destiny, he has no option but to move forward. That was what God connected to the life of Abraham and he took off leaving his contemporaries behind. It was connected to the life of Isaac and he went forward (Genesis 26:12-13); the Blessing terminates delays in life.

Beloved, God will connect a blessinator to your life and destiny that will make you move faster than your contemporaries. You will not struggle to make progress in life any more, in Jesus’ Name.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A genuine Christian should experience a change in habit and lifestyle.

It has been confirmed that a change of habit or character is one proof of a changed life.

One area where we are expected to change and fit into the Nature of Christ is the area of habit and lifestyle. A genuine Christian should experience a change in habit and lifestyle.



Habit is the manner in which a person conducts himself. In other words, it is a person’s behavioural pattern. Lifestyle, on the other hand, is the manner of living or the way of life, characteristic of a particular person, group or culture.

There are many ways a Christian can behave that will show that his or her habits and lifestyle have not yet changed. For example, if an unbeliever comes late to work by 9:00am but writes 7:45am on the staff attendance register and a Christian does the same thing, it means that Christian has not yet experienced a change of habit or lifestyle. He is headed for the same destination with the sinner, and that is hellfire.

Unbelievers can easily engage in dubious practices – they can mix kerosene with petrol in order to make more money; they can mix cement with cheaper substances like dust and ash and re-bag them so they can make more profit, etc. If a child of God does the same thing they do, he will end in the same destination with them, and that destination is hellfire!

The truth is, whenever a person becomes a Christian, there should be a public testimony of a change of his lifestyle and such testimony should come from those who used to know him before he repented.

Remember this: A genuine Christian should experience a change in habit and lifestyle.

It has been established that your affection is key to your future; your passion is the secret of your destiny.

Now, your affection, in this context, refers to what you do for satisfaction and not for remuneration. In the process of doing it, you may get paid but money is not your motivation for doing it.





For example, when David was playing the instrument, he did not know it would lead him to the palace. He did not know anyone would recognize him for it. He was just playing the instrument and singing for God out of affection and passion for God.

When Joseph was interpreting dreams for the butler and the baker, he did not demand for money from them for his services. He was not bothered how much he would be paid for his services; he was just driven by affection and passion.

Beloved, your affection is where you release impact not just for the income. Your affection is what you do for satisfaction not just for remuneration. Your passion makes you work free of charge if possible/necessary. As a matter of fact, you love to do the work so much, that if possible, you are willing to pay people to be allowed to do it.

Sometime ago, my wife and I saw a magazine in London and in that magazine, a man did a painting, a piece of art, and people bought it for Eleven Million British Pounds. The man was interviewed, and they asked him, “How does it feel to be paid Eleven Million Pounds for a painting?” And he said, “I am surprised that people are paying me for doing what I enjoy doing”.

This means, painting is his enjoyment. He did not see painting as an engagement but an enjoyment.

TOPIC: The Blessing Of His Bleeding (Seeds Of Destiny 15 April 2022)

SCRIPTURE: And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. Matthew 27:31, 50

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Jesus Christ Who is sinless took our place in death so we may take His place in life.

Today is symbolic in the history of the world in general and in the Body of Christ in particular. It marks the anniversary of Christ’s death and the process leading up to His resurrection which is the central focus of Christianity.

The Scripture makes it clear that all have sinned against God and are doomed to die (Romans 6:23 paraphrased). But Jesus Christ Who is sinless took our place in death so we may take His place in life. His bleeding on the Cross brought great blessings to humanity.

Now, what are the blessings of His bleeding? I will give you three critical insights on this:

He shed His Blood to reconcile man to God.
Man was hopelessly lost. When Adam and Eve sinned, they were driven from the Garden of Eden. From that point, we did not know where else to go because we were hopelessly lost. But Jesus Christ restored us to God by dying on the Cross, and through His Death, we were reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:18).

He shed His Blood to deliver us from the curses and spells which are the consequences of sin.
By the bleeding of Christ, you are not permitted to be a victim of generational curses and witchcraft spells (Galatians 3:13-14). You are exempted from any negative pattern that follows people in your lineage by the mystery of the Blood of Jesus Christ.

He shed His Blood to deliver us from the torment of the flames of hell.

Jesus shed His Blood to deliver us from the torment of hellfire. So, anyone who ends up in hell only does so because he wants to go there.

Now, having shed His Blood for us on the Cross, what is our responsibility?

Absolute surrender.
He gave up His life for you so you can give your life to Him. He held nothing back from you so you can hold nothing back from Him.
Give Him your best.

Give God the best of your life – the best of your time, resources and the best of who you are, because God first gave us His best.
Live for Him.

He died for you so you can live for Him. Live only for Him. (2 Corinthians 5:15).
