olascottpeter:That is harsh! |
Whether na 1 billion, how dat 1 take change Nigeria? It is pathetic when Nigerians praise those who are unworthy. There is fuel scarcity, SARS is acting up, Buhari's son is in coma, activists are being suspended ... these people who show off their wealth will stand not against any ill in the society, yet Nigerians will keep hailing them. It is sad! |
CaptainFM1:why? |
False info! How can this be the biggest in WA when the massive butts of my TINA remains forever curvy, pimpless and smooth?! |
In the world, there are a helluva of religion. In Nigeria, there are two major religions namely Islam and Christianity. Two forms of arguments do arise within these aformentioned religions: internal and extrenal arguments. Internal argument is that which occur between one or more Islamic faithful such as the issue of whether it is right to allow the helm of one's trouser to touch the ankle or not. Similarly, that which could ensue between one or more christians such as the issue of whether it is right for female to put on trousers or not. The aim of internal argument is to reach a common ground on doctrinal issues. On the other hand, external argument occurs when one religion claims it is better than the best. The aim of this is to convert the other. In the world today, both forms of argument have led to homes being broken, relationship being strained and things falling apart. In the past, they led to series of war, but now, it is terrorism especially among the fanatics. Borrowing the words of my lecturer, Dr. Ogunfo, 'Hypocrisy is the greatest religion.' I very much agree with him on this because most of these religious arguments are raired either to show off or to ease boredom . The same person who argued vehemently in opposition to a particular standpoint now would be caught in the act in the next moment. Religious arguments can get so heated up that parties assault one another, some even develop malice in the process whereas no religion embraces 'malice'. There is fuel scarcity assisted by citizens (self acclaimed xtians or muslims) who hoard the fuel. This is the world we live in. Finally, rather than engage in religious arguments, let us divert the energy to means by which we can use our religion as a machinery to develop the country. We can always use our religion to help the country. By so doing, we can easily convert or convince anyone. Let it be our new year resolution(s) that churches and mosques shall begin to work towards ensuring, among other things, that there is constant power supply in their various precincts whle gradually extending that to the whole nation and that the potholes in our roads are filled up. Engaging in religious arguments solves no problem! God bless us! God bless Islam! God bless Christianity! God bless Nigeria! Merry xmas! |
Under Nigerian Criminal Code, there is an irrebutable presumption that a 7 year old boy can neither be charged with nor convicted of any of offence. That is to say a child of 7 years and below has no mind of his own. |
Can anyone here remember one event that happened to him or her @ age 4? |

4reala:would u snap such if u were dia? |
I couldnt believe it 'cos I have always believed it cud only occur in movies. Today, I went with my mum to Ajegunle market where I saw a well-dressed couple with a set of twins. By 'well-dressed,' the man was on suit and nyc brogues while the woman was on a v.attractive weavon, gown and shoes. The man was singing, 'nitori ibeji ni mo se n jo o' which means, 'I'm dancing for the sake of my twins.' While some people were staring in utter amazement, some found it difficult to shut their mouths, some pitied them by donating stipends which the woman was dropping into her beautiful handbag. The main question unanswered is if this cud b.d side effect of recession? How I wish I could snap them! |

What is the essence of an English Interpreter in a Yoruba-speaking church? |
I appreciate the fact that he didnt shift the blame on Esu (devil) for the commission of sexual assault or attempted rape (as the judge may define it) which is capable of depriving him of his employment and landing him in jail for not less than 14 years. |
Stop hailing the school, it was God's and her efforts ! |
Y do u all sleep and face the same direction? Haba! Must she bottle her feelings? Hun! The gal only expressed her feelings, and that is no sin. I still respect her 4dt! Thumbs up |
Committing blunders in English is a thing I do overlook because: (1) English language, although is a world language, doesnt freak me. (2) when I was an amateur language interpreter in my church, I committed uncountable blunders and received different unpalatable responses which made me become thick-skinned. (3) My speaking and writing have developed a great deal over time. Mind d.way u mock 'committers of blunders.' Rome wasn't built within 24hrs. Most speakers commit blunders due to nervousness and fear of being picked on. Pls, let us 'epp' one another! It shall be well with us!! |

R u 4real? Emotional slap! |
She slapped me for calling her an 'ashewo.' It happened diz way: the gal, an Igbo, was my seat mate and some1 approached us to help him change some #500 note. I jokingly told the guy, 'I have no change, ask the ashewo beside me.' The next thing I heard was a hot slap on my cheek! Chai! I held her wrist, wanted 2retaliate bt restrained my self. It was the guy wu later told the gal she did a wrong thing in public. He further explained that by refering 2her as an ashewo, I meant a 'money changer' not a 'prostitute.' |

I can c d.root of this whole arguments and tongue-lashing is the fact that Baba made a little COMPARISM. If he didnt liken them to Al-Qaeda sect, it wudnt result 2diz. As a person, I hate been compared. Comparism is capable of shattering one's ego and make one hate the person/thing one is being compared with. |
