You had better leave while you still have time. I will give you a short story; my sister was in final year when our neighbor's daughter went to Ukraine to study medicine. My sister is still in final year writing her final year's exams while the other girl is already in 300level medicine.

This is really pointless...mind you...this is the second time he has extended their tenure...I marvel at the consistency with which the current administration have shown its disregard to due process, rule of law and the constitution...don't ask me for examples if you don't want me to slap you with words this evening...This is uncalled for and the sit - tight men as usual will keep acting as if they are saints..However, I commend the current Chief of Air Staff whose achievements/strides can be seen and felt...If for nothing at all..he has restored sanity, dignity and decorum to the Nigerian Airforce which two of his immediate predecessors left in tatters and shambles...but this extension is pointless...In other climes, the government wont wake up and make unnecessary adjustments to the rule of law as regards appointments and retirement as there is an hierarchical flow which does not favour anyone...and as for those bigots who have to find a way to bring in zoning/tribe into every discourse, i am sorry for you people,i patiently wait for the day where the lines of tribe and religion will become so faint wherein only the deserving, upright and eligible will be they that matter...

Merry Christmas Mr President....(please do something about this fuel scarcity,it is unfair that this season is when it usually crops up
suspiciously,thank you)
As though a reasonable person will think!

Luck is the word of a loser.
More than working, you need ideas. Look for ways to implement your ideas and you'll achieve a feat so great that an 'ordinary' will call it LUCK.

Politics / Re: Seven Of Buhari's Actions That Led Nigeria Into Recession by adekanbai: 9:41am On Sep 04, 2016
Justcash:
1) Sudden Implementation of Treasury Single Account (TSA)- This policy threw the banking and financial sector into turmoil as huge sums were swept out of banks and dormantly stashed into a preferred safe.

2) Tightening of Foreign Exchange Transactions- This policy made it difficult to make foreign exchange, and threw thriving businesses into turmoil which led to massive sacking of workers and manufacturing slowdown.

3) Unguarded Utterances During Foreign Trips- The president made several unguarded utterances that gave the impression that Nigeria was headed for the rocks. This made foreign investors hesitant about coming into Nigeria, and encouraged those that were already in Nigeria to speculate and pull out funds.

4) Halting of Important Projects in the Niger Delta- Buhari moved to remove majority of the projects that were created to provide tangible benefits to Niger-Deltans. For example, the Maritime University and Pipeline protection projects. Though, some of these projects were condemned by Nigerians, they kept the Niger-Delta at peace and allowed for the maximization of the benefits from petroleum exports.

5) Buhari's Northern Developmental Focus in Nigeria- The developmental aim of the president is very much skewed towards Northern Nigeria than every other part. So, he is more like kick starting a new economic focus, while dumping existing economic strengths. For example, he is devoting billions of dollars to search for petroleum in the North when Nigeria does not have functional refineries to ensure adequate availability of petroleum products that are already being produced in the South.

6) Elimination of All the Policies Made by PDP- it is on record that even though PDP led governments were corrupt, they made some major strides in diversifying Nigeria's economy. For example, Agricultural export came to life under PDP. Buhari has focused on bedeviling and antagonizing every single policy made by the PDP. In the process, he has thrown out good policies and progress that were made in the past. He is almost starting afresh, and this has rebooted Nigeria and thrown us years backwards.

7) Preference for Violence over Dialogue- Buhari prefers to use military force to quell civil strife. This approach ignites more protests and civil disobedience. An economy cannot experience progress in violent conditions. Even Lagos and Ogun axis has experienced an open show of military bombardment, which scares a heck out of investors. The same is true about the production shut ins in the Niger Delta region. Some of these issues can be solved with dialogue and with police actions than full scale military assaults.

on point. Especially on the aspect of pipeline protection. Your property is believed to be safe when left into the custody of a thief.

Career / Re: HND Holder Vs Third Class Degree Bsc Holder: Which Is Better? - EDUREGARD by adekanbai: 9:32am On Jul 08, 2016
tosyne2much:
I don't think there's a general rule that a university student will definitely be better than a polytechnic graduate. I think it has to do with individual differences

Though, I can't speak for others but I can at least speak for myself.. I have HND in view and to the glory of God, I can confidently compete with any university student (area of specialization apart). I have had the priviledge to do so many things with university students and my performance has always been keeping them doubting the negative perception they normally have for polytechnic students.

Both university and polytechnic students can be half-baked, they can both be dumb heads, they can both be unproductive in the labour market, they can be grammatically deficient. So, a university graduate can be better than polytechnic graduate and vice versa

My 2cent cool
You've said it all. Besides, I want to beleive personal performance has to come in place here. I've seen lots of University graduates who can't write letter of introduction or respond to query. Any HND holder feeling inferior to his BSC counterparts is a dumb ass and has nothing to show off. Majority of job advertisement advertisement I've seen would tell you HND upper/Bsc 2.1 or 2.2. Both have different curriculum.
Romance / Re: Life Is A Teacher. Jilted By My Fiancee. by adekanbai: 9:00pm On Jun 13, 2016
acxlers2014:
My experience buttresses the point that human nature is such that they look out for self first. I met, dated, proposed and did introduction with a lady in her thirties with the anticipation to marry her three months after that. Well I was charged up and ready to go and I was excited about the whole thing. She came over to my station in one of these northern states and she left after few weeks. I had thought everything was fine when I saw her off to the airport. Well a week after her attitude became funny, she started by asking for a postponement on the wedding, then she became very aggressive and later on she barred my numbers and started acting funny. Before I knew what was happening she started insulting me and saying different things about my capabilities as a man. Well by the grace of God I am a doctor in A government hospital and I own a flourishing practice in my domicile. Sadly no matter how much I tried she never seemed to be ready to come back. Well at a point in the deterioration of our relationship she returned my rings engagement and wedding bands and all the gifts I had given her
She was interviewed by her pastor, my pastor, my folks and she reiterated that she was not coming back. I did not relent even after all these but I had even a stronger resolve to carry on with the whole process. I thought it was a moment of temporary set back that maybe she may come through. How wrong was I. Several texts afterwards. She came out with a bold statement " MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE AS I HAVE MOVED ON WITH MINE". IT hurt but is didn't matter to me. Then the deal breaker.......... she sends me conversations between her and a guy who was chiking her via whatsapp and was professing his love to her and she was tripping. With the caption " I WOULD RATHER MOVE ON WITH THIS GUY, HE IS A BETTER MAN TO YOU". She calls up my folks and tell them that I should stay off her back as well as my siblings. That was the CLOSURE I needed and I must say it was a tough call.

As for her family, they supported their own.
Lessons learnt.
The truth is when it is gone don't fight it, just move
on.

Never put your eggs in one basket, the concept of a side chick for every guy is valid, it is for your sanity, little wonder our fathers always seemed to have one

Old women, middle aged women, girls and baby girls are all the same their psyche is way different maybe it has something to do with hormones.

Never stick to an opinionated women, you can't be so silly to think feminism can work in our society

Beautiful women always feel they have an option.

Lastly never compromise your hustle for a woman.
Move on bro. Share almost same story with me. You made cool points up their. #Especially when she is beautiful#

Career / Re: To Become A 2nd Lieutenant In Nigerian Army. Benefits by adekanbai: 1:18pm On May 31, 2016
INDESTRUCTABLEX:
Good morning guys, I am a graduate from the Premier University and recently passed out from NYSC programme. I have always been into business right from my university days because I crave independence.

While serving, I was also into business. Before passing out, I launched my startup and currently have 2 employees. Although, I studied mechanical engineering, I have no plans to work in the industry, except as a business person utilizing my skills.

Now for the purpose of this post. I have an uncle who has contacted me twice to join the armed forces - police and recently army. He is a politician and has a slot and wants someone from our family to fill the position. I outrightly turned down the police offer but recently army came in and I am having second thoughts.

As a child I wanted to be a soldier but I was an only son. Hell no, there's no way my parents would have allowed me go to NDA. I am 23, ambitious, and still crave independence and financial buoyancy.

I want to find out what the benefits of joining the army are. Specifically as a second lieutenant. Would I be commanding troops? Can I combine it with my business? The latter is my major concern, I don't have plans of touching the salary I get from NA.

Basically, what is my job description, the demands of the job, and the time I get for myself. Thanks in anticipation.

That's a good opportunity bro. "Something must kill a man" though I would advice you apply for DSSC not SSC. You could grow in rank easily without much stress and hasle. SSC commissioned officer don't enjoy the job much except they get converted to regular officers. All the best bro.
