Politics › Re: Irigwe Militants In Miango Attack Fulani. Disturbing Pixs by Adekdammy: 9:21pm On Jan 25, 2018 |
NafeesaAA: Cattle is a cultural thing to the Fulani Man, they are a symbol of wealth and a source of pride, and a person's entire life revolves around the herds.
To a real Fulani, any pursuit other than a pastoral one, specifically the herding of cattle, is regarded as demeaning to themselves and insulting to Fula culture. Even sex, colour of the cattle and where they graze is ritually significant,
To a Fulani Man, cattle are a major sign of wealth, and are exchanged between a groom and his bride's family as a symbol of their bond (bridewealth). Essentially, their social use is to create or strengthen ties and loyalties.
Without Cattle, a Fulani Man is Mr, nobody, a outcast and a failure to the family. The Minority tribes in the NC, are aware of this, they still attack and rustle their cows. We the Fulani by our nature will always see an attack against our source of survival as an attack on our lives. This belief, understandly is cruel, because to me, no amount of herds of cattle can ever equate to the life of a single human being.
This is one reason why we should support any initiative, whether colony, protectorate, ranching, or whatever as long as its going to stop this cycle of madness. So a fulani man values cattle than human lives? The only way to end this is that the fulani should have their own ranches than destroying people's farms. |

Also note that pmb will win the north hands down Must the candidate comes from the north? Who says better candidate can't come from the south? This issue of zoning has done more harm than good to the country, the only time it worked and the impact was felt was during yaradua but unfortunately he died. |

Genesis 6 has nothing to do with demons, bible refers to them as sons of God, study the last verse in chapter 4 to understand better.
Bible says in Genesis 4:26. Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to call on the name of the LORD.
N.b an not saying there are no demons but demons or spirits have nothing to do with chapter 6. |

sarrki: What did PDP/Gej regime or government did for the southwest to warrant the support come 2019 ?
For the question about rail line
Its a new one completely, the type of Abuja to Kaduna
It with be delivered before 2019 election
You can take this to the bank Except you don't want to be truthful, during gej/PDP, employment rate was high which was as a result of the govt policy bar the corruption which is still available now sir , now compare that to the high unemployment rate we have not just in sw but in the whole country due to the govt bad policies. As for the rail, I saw some train coaches on heavy duty trucks passing in front of my office , not different from the ones gej bought, mind you new rail before 2019, fingers crossed, because Iddo rail thru oshodi to kajola is still the same Lord luggArd rail |

Mynd44: Exactly. The SW although has no reason to vote President Buhari based on his perfomance but when they are given Atiku and The rest of the guys in the opposition as options, who do you think they will (reluctantly) vote for? I love your reasoning but let's look at this way, an average sw calls a spade a spade and has no place for sentiments, if PDP fields Atiku which I doubt, PDP may likely capture sw because the voice in town now is anybody but Buhari and that same slang emanated from the sw during the last election, anybody but Buhari then. |

sarrki: The way it stands today
Its purely APC versus PDP
Do you think Southwest will vote A northern president and A south south or South east vice president ?
Please I need an answer?
Middle belt is comprising of 6 states Benue,plateau,Nassarawa, Kogi,Kwara and Niger .
So you believe Niger , Kwara and kogi will vote against pmb ? Southwest has done it before, ysradua and gej. Niger will go for apc because PDP failed woefully in that state, but things can change because of the light issue and their young governor is not trying either. Sie I know niger wella. For kwara and kogi, saraki body is in apc but his soul is in PDP so it's a 50/50 plus Abdulfatah is another disaster in thst state. Kogi is for PDP, bello everyday makes the job easy for PDP to win. And what if a strong alliance of new breed without greed emerges, PDP = APC, We have tasted both and it's obvious APC is worse. |
Politics › Re: To Win The Presidency You Only Need 2 Block Votes Northwest & Southwest by Adekdammy: 8:23am On Jan 23, 2018 |
sarrki: If you want to argue
Religion, Ethnicity and Tribalism are key factors in African politics most especially Nigeria
There is know way Southwest Majority will sell away the vice president to install another party in the name of whatsoever.
Southwest are well settled politically & infrastructurally Most of the political appointee's are from southwest
Yemi Osinbajo the VP is from southwest.
Also interms of infrastructure Ilorin - Ibadan, Lagos - Ibadan, seceding Lagos to southwest by pmb are all campaign tools
Less I forget Lagos -Abeokuta -Ibadan rail line is inclusive
So with the factors stated above I need a very constructive argument and reason why Southwest will jolt this to vote another party.
Northwest is president Muhammadu Buhari core base
He has never lost election in the northwest
Facts don't lie What has the vp done for the south west? Even the son of his G.O is bashing the government, so tell me. This lagos abeokuta Ibadan rail line you keep mentioning, is it a new project or the same rail line that has been on ground since time immemorial and gej came and gave it a face lift. Which lagos Ibadan express way, the speed of that project since this govt took over is less than that of a snail. |

Nasiruddeen: DO YOU KNOW?
The First Church in Nigeria was built in 1842, some say 1898 (Google it)
BUT
1.The first Mosque was built in Ọyọ-Ile in 1550 A.D. (Google it)
2.The most recognized in history is the Great Mosque of Kano built in 1582. The great mosque was built for Muhammad Rumfa in the 15th century and was moved to a new site by Muhammad Zaki in 1582.
However, history has it that mosques were built in
Iwo town in 1655 followed by
Iṣẹyin, in 1760;
Lagos, 1774;
Ṣaki, 1790;
and Oṣogbo, 1889.
The bottom line is whether 1550 or 1582, Islam has been in existence in Nigeria for almost three centuries before the coming of Christianity.
The British came and forced their religion on our forefathers which led to lots of them changing their names and becoming Christians.
Next time CAN talks about Islamization of Nigeria, please educate them.! Islam did not just start. It has been there. If we did not islamize anyone all these years is it now because Buhari is president.
Why is CAN even screaming islamization now that for the first time a pastor is in the villa as vice president? There was never an Imam who became Governor. In benue we had a Catholic priest as governor. In taraba we had a reverend both in Northern Nigeria. Now we have a pastor as vice President.
Please let religious bodies sow the seeds of peaceful coexistence not disharmony and needless suspicion. QED!!!! Copy and paste or share We know your style, the president is failing and you are trying to derail this thread, abi you are depressed too ni? |

GavelSlam: Many Nigerians actually most Nigerians are dunces I'm sorry to say.
Questions to ask:
Did the EFCC go to the media and who officially gave a comment?
If most Nigerians were as intelligent and honest as they portray on Nairaland why is there so much hunger and fraud in the land?
If you were really concerned about your country why are you supportive of alleged crime?
Why not allow the politicians expose each other?
If we have collectively been making the right decision why is there discontent?
When you scream distraction what are you being distracted from and how does it affect your day to day transaction?
What do you do to improve your economy and by extension the economy of the nation? You sha take pleasure in polite insult. Yes effc official did or the nation owned by a chieftain of the APC lied about the news? Hunger in the land, perhaps I should ask, since you are very intelligent, why do we still have hunger in the land? God forbid that I support crime but it is terrible when the govt keeps using years to rehearse on how to catch a thief, when will the graduate on how to catch the thief? Tell me how many people have been brought to book both in the APC or PDP? And who is stopping them from exposing themselves, well may be those who are benefiting from them Making the right decision will only work the day we decide to call a spade a spade irrespective of who we support. It begins with us. I will keep screaming distraction until they follow due process and real thieves are being caught without a way of escape for the thieves. |
