If Aisha and Zahra can be using style to indict the president and his team, definitely i see no reason why anybody should support this government. |
hmmm and they are preaching "our president is fighting corruption". More truth will be revealed..... |
SillyMods:Yes, and who told you money is not missing? Any contract that does not follow due process is definitely laced with padding or better still a sure way to steal through the back door. I read his reply and I wasn't surprised but I blame the president for still being the minister of petroleum. More glaring truth will still unfold. Good morning bro. |
1nigeriamyfoot:Someone once said any time Buhari is in charge, money is never stolen but always missing. |
[quote author=Jesusloveyou post=61294024]what is bad in this government? So to go after corrupt people and terrorist is now a bad governance[/quo So how many corrupt people has the government brought to book, lest I forget, babachir Lawal is now serving jail term abi? |
SillyMods:Absence of due process = corruption |

EXPLANATIONS ON JESUS AND THE CROSS MATTER The Holy Quran (chapter 4 verse 157) shows that: i) Some people actually planned to crucify Jesus but God foiled the plan; Fallacy, how will the person that came hundreds of years later know more than those who witnessed what happened and wrote it down? ii) People who says that Jesus was crucified are not sure of what they say, to confirm what is contained in the Quran that those who claim that Jesus was crucified are not sure of what they say, let us use the Bible to raise and answer some questions on the cross issue: we are sure of what we say because he died by crucifixion and rose on the third day. 1 corinthians 15:4, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 1. Who carried the cross of Jesus to Golgotha? a) Jesus carried the cross (John 19 : 17) b) Simon of Cyrene carried the cross(Mark 15:21-22). These are two different accounts, John's and Mark's account, understand that while they were both writing their accounts, it's possible some words could have been missing, no two same person can write the same story they witnessed. The bottom line is that, Jesus was crucified. 2. Which of the two thieves that was crucified along with Jesus made jest of him? a) The two thieves made jest of him (Mathew 27 :44) b) Only one thief made jest of him (Luke 23:39) it is very possible, they both made jest of him and one decided to repent later. 3. Judas repented after he had given Jesus unto enemies, what then became of the thirty silver coins earlier received by Judas? a) Judas threw down the coins in the temple before the high priest and the high priest used it to buy a large piece of land to be used as burial ground for strangers(Mathew 27 :6-7) b) Judas spent the money to buy certain portion of land for himself (Act 1:16) By putting the two accounts of Judas' death together we get a clearer idea of what happened. Both events are true, but they did not happen at the same time. Matthew writes that Judas "hanged himself." Luke explains what happened later, after Judas' body began to decompose. The corpse slipped from the rope, "falling headlong, . . . burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out"—the ignominious, yet deserved end of "the son of perdition" (John 17:12). 4. How did Judas die? a) he hanged himself (Mathew 27 :5) b)he fell from a high place, his bowel split open and he died (Act 1 :18) Matthew writes that Judas "hanged himself." Luke explains what happened later, after Judas' body began to decompose. The corpse slipped from the rope, "falling headlong, . . . burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out"—the ignominious, yet deserved end of "the son of perdition" (John 17:12). Imagine if you are a Bible Quiz master and some of the above questions are asked during the Quiz Competition, which of the available two answers for each of the question will you accept as the right answer in each case? The answers are correct The scriptures say in 2corithians 3:6b, for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Maranatha...He cometh soon. |
*Revenge is best served when it is cold* That was what Olu told his elder brother Akin when they heard that their wicked uncle who made life unbearable for them after the death of their father needs their help. He chased them out of their father's house, accused their mother of killing his brother and above all, made them suffer to the extent of begging and most times ridiculed. Now Olu and Akin are made and their uncle needs money to survive his health challenge, he begged them for help but Olu felt they should allow him to die a slow and painful death than paying his medical bills and see him live, Olu reminisced on how he chased them out from the house their father built and how they had to struggle for survival in a one room apartment, he thought of how they could not pay house rent and how the landlord sent them packing, he thought of how their mother died because they could not afford to take her to the hospital and how their wicked uncle treated them when they ran to him for help. Olu said to himself, now revenge is sweet when it is served cold, Akin was shocked with the words of his brother, he told him that what if they had died like their parents? what if they are still beggars?, what if they are nobody? What If God is allowing the table to turn just to watch their reactions? What if they help their uncle and he survives and he repents, does he not thinks they would have won a soul and not send a soul to hell? These words broke Olu and he agreed with his brother to help their so called wicked uncle. Are u on the path of revenge because the table has turned, hold on for a while, remember that God allowed the table to turn not because he wants you to revenge but because He wants you to help the offender even when he or she is at your mercy. Though it's a tough task but it's worth it. We tap into the grace to *let go and let God*, amen. Have a blessed day. Maranatha. ..He cometh soon. |

Democracy is a sham in this country, In fact we are not ripe for the democracy we deserve as a country. |

Not holding brief for the governor but the sincere truth is that a road worth over a billion naira of tax payers money per kilometer shouldn't be having problems by now. The governor as well should do the needful, the number of bad roads especially on the mainland are just too much. |
And lukascore scores again |

From the article, it is obvious that the 90 days will only work if the students can pay more. The govt of oyo and osun know what to do if they want lautech to be re opened. |
gberra:Even the senator you supported to lead the house is also part of Nigeria's problem. They care less about you and I, the earlier we realize this, the better. |

what a touching story, how I wish nairaland as a forum can launch the unity we crave for irrespective of where we come from. Enough of the insults, name callings...., this our generation can get it right again and nairaland can be an avenue to achieving that. |
once saved forever saved message is an erroneous doctrine. shall we continue in sin so that grace may abound? far be it. |
Good morning and happy Sunday. I shall be discussing with us a bible character study called Jephthah. The story of Jephthah can be found in the book of judges chapter 11 and 12 Who is Jephthah? Judges chapter 11:1-3 told us who Jephthah was. Jephthah was regarded as a Gileadite and a mighty warrior His mother was a prostitute He was driven away from home by his siblings because his mother was a prostitute and they don't want him to share the inheritance of their father with them. He fled from his brothers and settled in the land of tob where a group of adventurers gathered around him and followed him This is a brief synopsis about Jephthah. Jephthah as a leader and also a man of valour: He was able to lead a group of adventurers well and made them warriors like himself. The ammonites made war against the Israelites and the elders of Israel had to go to Jephthah to help him defeat the Ammorites, Why would the elders go to him to help them defeat the ammonites, remember he was an outcast and chased away because his mother was a prostitute . Well I will say when grace speaks for a man, even those that once looked down on him will look up to him, may this be our portion in Jesus name, amen He agreed to help them defeat the enemies but he asked them a question based on verse 10, in verse 9 of chapter 11, suppose you take me back to fight the ammorites and the Lord gives them to me, will I really be your head? The elders replied him by saying, God is there witness, they will certainly do so. The controversial verse: verse 30 Judges 11:30-31, And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord, if you give the ammonites into my hands, WHATEVER COMES OUT OF THE DOOR OF MY HOUSE TO MEET ME WHEN I RETURN IN TRIUMPH FROM THE AMMONITES WILL BE THE LORD'S, and I will sacrifice IT as a burnt offering. Of a truth, the Lord delivered Tha ammonites into the hands of Jephthah and his daughter was the first to come out of the door to meet him. ... Shall we now say, Jephthah sacrificed his daughter as a burnt offering to the Lord? No, Jephthah did not sacrifice his daughter as a burnt offering to the Lord, matters like this, we use the SCRIPTURES TO UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURES Commandment 6 says you shall not murder If he offered his daughter as a burnt offering, that is murder which makes him to have broken the law of God and such sacrifice won't be acceptable before God So how the he fulfill the vow? Judges 11:31, note the use of these two words 1. Whatever comes out of the door to meet me when I return in triumph from the ammonites will be the Lord's 2. And I will sacrifice IT as a burnt offering Whatever and Lord's is synonymous to anybody that comes out of my door...will be the Lord's, apostrophe s after a word simply means ownership of the word. So Lord's means it is the Lord's own. It goes for animal, if an animal had come out, then it would have been used for a burnt offering So what happened to Jephthah's daughter? Since we have been able to establish that she wasn't used as a burnt offering, verse 38, ....He did to her as he had vowed. And she was a virgin. Verse 37 said...she would never marry She used her whole life to serve God as a virgin Jephthah led Israel for six years and died and was buried in Gilead So we are able to see Jephthah as 1. A mighty warrior and a man of valour 2. A leader or a judge 3. A man that fulfilled his vow even when it wasn't easy because the vow simply put an end to his lineage. Stay blessed in His presence. Maranatha. ..He cometh soon. |
