The implication of not seeking innovation is to preserve the true essence of Islam. While Islam does not preach against science innovation and modernization, it prohibits innovation in Islamic practices.
For instance, Muslims use speakers in mosques, post Islamic lectures etc. These are scientific discoveries and innovations. But the same way of praying is still the same regardless of the tool used.

Dear OP. What you don't know, you don't know. The innovation they're talking about is religious innovation. Islam prohibits bringing new inventions into the religion as Islam must be practiced based on the Sunnah ( i.e the way the prophet practiced his religion).
You should have asked why before posting this...

Call the customer care or go to their office if you know there. You must first find out what network the person you recharged for is using so you know where to go. You can get that by trying to recharge for them again using your online wallet (e.g Opay, palm pay,kuda etc).

Talk to your wife about your discovery. Hear what she'll say. Before you Inform an elderly and respected member(s) of her family or your pastor. Let them call you and your wife together in a meeting to reconcile.
If it doesn't go down well with you, just divorce her.

No bro. It means you won't do the oath-taking at all but may be delayed for the wedding. During my time, those who refused to show up for the oath-taking were asked to stay back while those who did oath-taking were attended to, in the order of their attendance.

No sir. Oath taking is at least a day or two before the main wedding. If you decide not to come for the oath taking, you may be delayed on the wedding day. You will get the mail as the person is working on it. The time you get the mail depends on when the person starts working on it. If he/she works on it on the day you pay, u will be notified via mail that same day(your email address as well as that of your spouse is part of what they will ask you to send).

Someone read through my previous Nairaland post and called the number listed on it. That was a data recharge advertising I created on behalf of someone. The individual just relayed the chat with me; he had no idea I posted on Nairaland, so he informed the Nairalander that the registry issue is a fraud. I am responding to this post to emphasize that it is not. Furthermore, I am merely sharing my experience, rather than recommending anyone to anyone. The only thing I'm saying is "IF YOU get a reliable contact in Ikoyi registry that Said you don't need to come to complete your wedding application, it is true". This is because I was also referred to someone there last year and I paid without going to Ikoyi until during my oath taking and wedding day....
I paid I think 40k as at August 2023. And I had my wedding on 16th or something like that. But the mail I received from the ministry of interior shows the fee is 28,500 (which is difference of 11,500). But you won't do have to bother about going to Ikoyi to stamp or do anything until the day

We use the Lunar Calendar. If you have problem with that, why do you use the Sun to count months? If you don't understand that month is counted using either the sun or moon, then you need to check it out.

That's how they do it.. I used someone in Ikoyi registry and sent the details and documents she requested. I didn't go there until during the counselling session followed by the wedding day.... if you got the contact from a reliable source, don't be scared. That's just how they do it

It should depend on how much you earn. If you are earning 100,000 Naira for example, you may want to allot 40k for Food, 30k for Savings and use the remaining 30k for other things you may need.
