Meanwhile, for a proper diss track, listen to We're Mavins (especially Wande Coal's last verse) off the Solar Plexus mixtape. Exceptional diss rhymes by Wande.

The likes of Asa, Darey, and even Wande Coal are great vocalists and lyricists. They can survive without club bangers. But for D'Banj? His biggest selling point is dance; that is all he can offer - which is all well and good because that is what his local and international audiences expect/demand from him. This Oyato nonsense doesn't fit in anywhere - we can't dance to it, we can't sleep/make love with it, we can't sing along, we can't even nod our heads to it. The only thing I can think of is that it might be useful for pest control. Grating noise.
