SouthHomieMob: Well I have a friend who blocked 8200 with Deutsche bank and got his confirmation. When he got to DE and he wanted to extend, but he was told to go back and top up to 8640 Like someone said earlier, there are different sides to a story. My advice is to block the 10k and avoid stories that touch when you finally get to DE This is my own opinion though |

Guy, did you read the checklist documents at all? where did you get the information that you need to certify your documents for visa application YOU DO NOT NEED ANY CERTIFICATIONS rather just gather your original documents plus 2 copies each and you're good to go all the instructions and documents you will ever need for your visa application is on the checklist document. kindly read thoroughly. in case you don't have it please download through this link https://nigeria.diplo.de/blob/1505580/3325d585fde8c3d1ae824b24b3f86ecc/checklist-student-visa-data.pdf 1 Like |

usmano1: 1. Yes it is compulsory, In case you didn't complete your primary 6, you can get an attestation letter from your primary school. if your primary school no longer exist, you can go for your interview without it. Just pray and hope Paulinus won't give you issues concerning that. Everybody has different stories in regards to primary school certificate. some people didn't have it and they were allowed to do their interview while some were sent back. Just pray for Grace and favor 2. Yes, you have to show proof that you've been doing something with your life after leaving school. Your employment letter should be enough evidence 3 I don't think your course form can work for that. Your school ID card should work |

Ndkings1: Maintaining your account with Fintiba cost 4 euros per month while it's 5 euros for Xpatrio so, in my own opinion, Fintiba is cheaper. I'm sure other people on the thread will have more information about this so wait for them to comment on it |

willsc: When you get to Germany, you have to unblock your account so you can have access to your monthly stipend. The money in the blocked account is not meant to stay blocked forever. You need it for your upkeep in Germany, that's why you're blocking it in the first place |
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Adeomam: 1:38am On Dec 12, 2018 |
Ndkings1: Fintiba is cheaper than Xpatrio because the amount you need to block in fintiba is 8640 while for Xpatrio is 8849. I guess that's why most people go for fintiba. but Xpartio is way less stressful than fintiba in terms of unblocking your account. I will not tell you which one to choose. You have to decide that on your own so go to their website and read thoroughly on their offers, terms, and conditions. All the best 1 Like 1 Share |

Merleeklarry: You do not need an agent to help you get admission, it's something you can do by yourself. The only problem is that people are not ready to work hard and make sacrifices to spend time searching for schools that's why they end up in the hands of scammers. if you can't make sacrifices to help yourself while you're in Naija how do you want to survive in Germany? Studying here alone minus working sef is not beans at all! First of all, I personally do not think that German schools have the patience, time and luxury to call up international students one by one just to inform them that they have been admitted! Most of them contact their students by email. That's where you get a soft copy of your admission letter, did you even get an admission letter? if you did kindly post it for us to see so that we can confirm if it's really a scam or not! Later on, you might get your original admission letter if your school sends it by post and normally you're not told to pay for ''admission offer'' instead you're asked to pay an enrollment fee which can be either paid into the school's account (the details of the account will be in your admission letter) and that is if you're given a deadline to pay or you pay after you get to Germany in order to complete your registration (that is if there's no deadline for payment) Finally, there's so such thing as just ''University of applied science'' you need to find out which one? But then, my advice is you better sit down, and start researching yourself. Make www.daad.de your best friend. I'm not promising that it'll be easy but it's worth it at the end! Remember that nothing good comes easy. If you want to come to Germany, you must be ready to work hard and you start that hard work in Nigeria! Every information you will ever need is on this thread if you cannot read part 4 at least start from part 5. Most of the guys here are either looking for an admission or looking for visa appointment or looking for their blocked money. In other words, everybody here is in different stages of their applications and they're the best people to help you! they have been sharing ALL THE INFORMATION they have in regards to applying to German schools and guess what? IT'S FREE!!! so why go to an agent My final advice is DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM! Alles Gute! 3 Likes 1 Share |

Troy365: 1. Whether English or German, all na same. Just translate the appointment mail to English as read it to be sure it's your appointment mail. As long as it contains information about your appointment, you're good to go! it doesn't matter if it's English or German. 2. Your proof of studies is just your BSC Waec/Neco and primary certificate. Honestly, you do not need your transcript but if you want to be extra, you can add it 3. Well, it depends on the VO who interviews you. The VO on dreads is known for giving a maths test to those who are going for Bachelors degree and she is also known to be strict during the interview. while the VO who is a guy and on a punk hairstyle is known to be very cool. Some people had it tough while some had it cool. In the end, most people in part 4 got their visas. Just prepare very well and also pray hard for favor Alles Gute! 2 Likes |

mexzony: I don't understand you oh. If you can speak German, say yes, if you can't say No. Either way, you'll still be asked to say something in German especially if your course is in German but if your course is in English and you haven't learned, they still expect you to be able to say a little something in German because you'll be asked what steps you're taking in order to learn the language This question really isn't a big deal! Concentrate more on the reasons you're going to give the VO when asked why you picked the course and the school and why Germany. 4 Likes 1 Share |

ato12: NO! Your sponsor must be a resident in Germany. It doesn't matter if you have the same surname or if you're related or not. as long as the person is living and working in Germany and the person is ready to sponsor you.. then you're good to go! |
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Adeomam: 6:37pm On Dec 06, 2018 |
mikkypel: The sponsorship letter only works for people who have their own relatives or friends in Germany. if you don't have people here then I won't advise you to do it because you might have to pay as high as 2000 Euros to get one which is not wise in my own opinion. Also, most of the guys here are not trustworthy, and unless the person you're dealing with is someone you know and trust, making such deals all the way from Nigeria might end in chaos if you end up getting the letter, it still doesn't guarantee a visa and even if you eventually get a visa, you still have to raise around 1000 euros for your upkeep because everything here involves money and if you're unable to get a job within a month of your arrival how will you survive? In my own opinion, raising the blocked amount is more wise and reasonable. Most people borrow the blocked money, then get jobs here in order to pay back. and I can guarantee that you will get jobs. It is not easy here and it'll take a while to pay back but it's worth it this is my own one kobo 6 Likes 1 Share |

KunmiRoxitaLTD: 1. I know staying away from uni-assist seems cheaper for your admission process but using it gives you the opportunity to apply to multiple schools and getting admission might be faster and easier. Anyways these are the schools I know University of Kiel Bayreuth University Rosenheim University of Applied sciences Regensburg university Note: You're not the only one that is avoiding uni-assist so getting admission in these schools might be difficult because there'll definitely be competition! but there's no harm in trying! Just make sure you have a very good motivation letter and having good scores in your previous studies is also another advantage. Also, keep in mind that their bachelor courses might not be taken in English 2. Dhl is fast and reliable. if you want a fast and reliable service, It won't come cheap. but I don't expect you to spend beyond 15k. NIPOST is cheap but patronizing them is really risky 3. depends on what the school wants! Some schools insist that you must certify at a German authority, while others say notary public. Just find the school you want to go to, then read and understand their application procedure. if you want to embark on this journey, you might have to make some sacrifices like spending extra time to search for schools since you don't want to use uni-assist and paying more to use a courier service that is fast and reliable. Like I said earlier, there's no harm in trying! Start first and if you are confused about anything or you have questions, just drop them here. I'm sure there are many people here who are more than willing to help All the best 6 Likes 2 Shares |

chuddysambo: It's very simple Just go to the high court to do an affidavit for your age. It's called a declaration of age. in the affidavit, your dad or whoever is the head of your family will declare that you were born on a particular day and some other stuff. It's not difficult at all when you get to the court there are people outside screaming affidavit. they already know what it's about just don't let them cheat you because it's between 500 to 800 naira. It would be better if you enter the high court and do it yourself but if you don't want to stress yourself, you can do it with the people outside. I repeat again, DO NOT LET THEM CHEAT YOU! All the best! |

lovable85: To convert your cgpa to german scale go through this link https://msingermany.co.in/german-grade-calculator/ To calculate your ECTS points (You need your transcript for this) In a semester, for every course you did, You multiply the grade you got by their units Each alphabetical grade is substituted by numerical equivalent: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, and E=1. You should already know how scores are graded (maybe 70 is A and 60 is B) For example, In a semester you did maybe 4 courses, courses units grade Bio 101 3 A 3*5= 15 che 101 3 B 3*4= 20 Mts 101 2 C 2*3= 6 phy 101 3 D 3*2= 6 then you add 15+20+6+6= 47. you do the same calculation for each semester and add the total score together. That's your ECTS points I hope you understand 3 Likes 2 Shares |
