morally a father collect his child, not because he wants to keep it for himself but to have her within reach to have her fathers love, that is my opinion,if not for personal selfishness this is suppose to be an advantage to he child

If it's about the best interest of the child then he wouldn't have separated her from her mother . Children especially of that age need their mother. Why didn't he work on a co stodgy agreement where the child will stay with one parent during the school term and another during the holiday? That way the child will get the love and attention of both sides

No matter what happened the grandmother had no right to take the child without the mothers permission. It's wickedness to separate a toddler from her mother

See so called educated youths acting like illeterates lipsrsealed why must everything turn into tribe bashing and trying to prove that your tribe is better than others. You'll never see successful people engaging in such nonsense and that is why I wasn't surprised to see the hungry faces of the tribal touts when some people started posting their pictures.

I've never believed in stereotyping so when I hear stereotypes about different tribes or different states I just think it's silly. As a non Ijebu Yoruba person I don't believe there are any vices that Ijebu people have that you won't find everywhere else in Yorubaland or amongst non Yoruba sef. The character of the person you're marrying and the outlook of his family is all you should ever concern yourself with

I can never employ a child to start with, If I need a maid or nanny I'll employ an adult . I'll rather adopt or foster the child if I want to help and then I have to ensure that as long as the child lives with me he/she gets the same treatment as my biological kids in every area. If I don't have enough money to send the child to the schools my children to to i'll rather the child remains with the parents and I'll be sponsoring her education.

Now that I can see the news on credible sites I can comment on the story and the truth is I'm highly disappointed in him. Even if he did that as a police officer and we know how they are angryit dosen't make sense for him as an Oba to talk so carelessly.

In fact now I think it should be moved to te front page. As Yorubas we stand against wrongdoing by whoever it is angry

Ambode will surely exceed the achievements of both which is the way it should be , remember that he worked with both Tinubu and Fashola. People can accuse Tinubu of whatever but the man delivers performers

barcanista: ofcourse both men are great Administrators no doubt, but I still give it to Fashola. Fash is good at implementation, BAT is an all-rounder, from planning to hiring technocrats and competent hands, to politIcking and also implementation. You and I what Lagos was pre-1999, and what Lagos became after. You and I know that if not for the Tinubu's strategic planning and intellect, Lagos would have grinded during the time when FG seized her allocation for 3years. Yet the state kept going, generating IGR(thanks to Akinwunmi Ambode). Tinubu started thie 37 LCDA's and used IGR to fund them. It became a focal point to many states-including Imo.
Walahi, I will luv to understudy Tinubu(though I'm doing it virtually)

That guy to me is the 2nd Best Lagos State Governor, the Best remain Baba kekere grin in terms of admÍnistratiÓnn but BAT is the best in terms of politÏcs, strategy and all-round.

PS: it is wonderful when Çomparing two great admÍnistrators and matching them by performancÉ and not mediocres. Kudos to the Lagos People anÐ yoruba race.

I'm glad you know the work Ambode did, that's why when some people wonder why Tinubu is supporting Ambode I just laugh. That man helped him to keep the state afloat at a difficult time. That's the type of Governor we need

You people are as gullible as a Hot teenager. mtchweeeu (abi na how una dey spell hiss).

The people on Nairaland are funny that's why I ignored this. When I see this in a respectable newspaper I'll respond. Anyone can open a blog now and write anything and Nairalanders will be hyperventilating grin

Idreamzmedia. Com lmao I guess he dreamt of this

@barcanista, do you mean you would seriously take the word of some random site like this over something important? You think an Oba can make such a statement and you'll only see it on one obscure site. The Gbenga Daniel story is on reputable newspapers that's what happens when a story is authentic .
Culture / Re: Photos:Emir Of Kano Visits Alaafin Of Oyo,sanusi Bows ToGreet Oba Lamidi Adeyemi by aderonila18: 7:39pm On Sep 24, 2014
It's normal that he'll bow for him, the Oba is older than him and he's respecting the Yoruba culture. Although I don't think he would have greeted him that way if he was wearing his full regalia because that may be against it for example a Yoruba Oba with his crown on mustn't bow for another person. So I guess because he's dresses normally

And yet the same bible tells us that divorce is a sin,but people divorce up and down everyday even pastors.

Remarrying is a sin,yet divorced people remarry in church by pastors.I am a christian and i really don't like the way christians think sometimes,

we judge and criticize so much.

No one is perfect.

It relates. The major reason why Africans today speak against polygamy is because of christianity, this is wat they are taught in church

But going by the examples laid by Bible characters Polygamy seems ok
So telling me Bible frowns at it is ridiculous

My dear, my post was in reply to the above post by someone who suggested that the Bible supports polygamy. I already noted people in the Bible weren't perfect and neither are we but no the Bible does not support polygamy. The same was a fornicator will know that the Bible doesn't support that. I'm not judging polygamous people, divorced , fornicator or liars etc just don't try and justify it with the Bible
Family / Re: A Thread For "Everything Polygamy"! by aderonila18: 4:37pm On Sep 24, 2014
Why is that we tell Gay people that it's wrong Biblically because God gave Adam a wife and not a husband but with polygamy some people forget that God gave Adam only one wife and not 2, 3, 4......

That some Bible Characters did something doesn't mean the Bible condones it. The men and women in the Bible were human beings just like us and some of them didn't always make the best decisions. If we are to copy everything from Bible Characters you may as well go ahead to marry many wives and still have hundreds of concubines like Solomon grin

When God made Adam he created only one Eve for him in his infinite wisdom but man always tries to be smarter than God .By the way that is another example of someone who still had many mistresses even though he already had many wives which shows that polygamy isn't an answer to infidelity rather self control is. If you see oanother woman that completes another part of you I can assure you that there are hundreds more women who will complete you as well. The whole essence of marriage is self control. You make your choice and then you remove your eyes from the market otherwise you'll keep marrying grin
