RomanceRe: Ladies, Can You Marry A Guy That Still Lives With His Family? by adesaeed2020:
what's the lady bringing to the table. we all blame men when it comes to this type of issues but what about the lady?

1) what is your sister doing currently? I guess she's also jobless because you never mentioned anything about her occupation.
2) whats her own plan for the future to support the family, if they eventually marry themselves.

My childhood friend married in his father's house, today he has built 2 houses. the truth is when others where paying for exorbitant house rents, he was using his own salary to build house. so free the guy.
I suspect you just want your sister to marry a very rich guy. Mind you all that glitters is not gold.
Foreign AffairsWorld Leaders React As Trump Considers In-person G7 Summit by adesaeed2020(op): 5:35pm On May 21, 2020
U.S. President Donald Trump said he was considering conducting the upcoming G7 summit in Camp David, indicating he would want an in-person meeting rather than a teleconferencing session.
As the coronavirus pandemic spread, Mr Trump in March cancelled the in-person meeting of the leaders of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, and the U.S., which was scheduled for June at Camp David in the US state of Maryland.
“Now that our country is ‘Transitioning back to Greatness,’ I am considering rescheduling the G-7, on the same or similar date, in Washington, DC, at the legendary Camp David,” Mr Trump said in a tweet, using his slogan for easing lockdowns.
“The other members are also beginning their COMEBACK. It would be a great sign to all – normalisation!”
Following the president’s tweet, world leaders started to cautiously weigh in on the proposal.
During his daily news conference, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he was open to discussing an in-person meeting, while French leader Emmanual Macron said he would travel to the U.S. as long as proper health precautions are in place, according to sources at the Elysee.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel dodged questions as to whether she would attend the G7 summit in person.
“No matter whether in the form of a video conference or otherwise, I will definitely fight for multi-lateralism,” Mr Merkel said.
Mr Trump originally planned for the summit to be at his private golf resort in Florida.
However, he switched the location to the government-owned Camp David compound near Washington DC after facing a backlash.
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany told reporters that Mr Trump wants the meeting to take place in June as previously scheduled and in person.
McEnany would not say if a potential in-person summit would coincide with a lifting on European travel restrictions, which were put in place during the coronavirus pandemic.
The border between the U.S. and Canada also remains closed to non-essential travel through June 21.
“America is reopening, the world’s reopening,” Mr McEnany said during a news conference.
“What a show of strength and optimism to have all of the leaders of these countries come together at the White House and pursue business as usual as we move forward through this pandemic,” he added.
Leaders of the G7, the leading industrialised democracies, have conducted video meetings about the coronavirus in the past months. Ministers have also staged similar conferences.

PoliticsAPC Now A ‘nest Of Lawlessness’ - APC Deputy National Chairman by adesaeed2020(op): 8:47pm On May 20, 2020
Deputy National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), North chapter, Senator Lawal Shuaibu has lamented what he described as the growing resort to illegalities by the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, saying the APC is now a best of lawlessness.

In a highly caustic statement issued Wednesday in Abuja, Shuaibu regretted that after his letter of May 28, 2019 warning Oshiomhole about the landmines he was laying for himself and the APC, the party leadership has continued to act in breach of all relevant laws.

Vanguard earlier reported that contending forces in the national leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, seemed to have sheathed their swords, as the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, inaugurated Arc. Waziri Bulama as acting National Secretary of the party.

Bulama’s nomination had suffered a series of setbacks for several months, as the party’s National Vice Chairman (North East), Comrade Mustapha Salihu, kicked against his candidature, describing his emergence as a product of narrow interests.

Salihu had accused Oshiomhole of trying to foist Bulama on the party without considering the position of the North East zonal chapter of the APC, which he (Salihu) chairs.

The matter had degenerated into a string of lawsuits, with anti-Oshiomhole forces teaming up with his state governor, Godwin Obaseki, who had been at loggerheads with the national chairman.

PoliticsWhat Are The Fall Back Options For PDP Presidential Aspirants by adesaeed2020(op): 6:20pm On Oct 07, 2018
It is no more news that Mr Atiku Abubakar (Wazirin Adamawa) is the PDP presidential candidate.
However, since all primary elections for senatorial, governoship and presidential has been concluded, what are the political fall back options for the main PDP presidential contenders like senator kwankwaso (current kano central senator), senator bukola saraki (senate president, kwara central), Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (incumbent governor of sokoto state), senator David mark (Benue)

Now, are we going to see candidates who won the respective constituencies represented by these political gladiators step down for them?

I'm just curious though.
PoliticsPMB Did Not Behave Like Most Africa Leaders On Air Nigeria - Willie Obiano by adesaeed2020(op): 5:23pm On Oct 05, 2018
"Buhari did not behave like most African leaders, who think that policy review is a mark of weakness, even when the policy is asphyxiating. Rather, he behaved like what academic researchers would call an authentic leader, humble enough to admit policy deficiencies and even personal errors.

"The President was not held hostage by the fact that the government had launched the new carrier’s livery and logo with fanfare in London in July, or by the consideration that a reasonable amount of money has been spent on feasibility studies and the road show in London.

"Such expenses belong to what accountants know as sunk or spent funds and it is not advisable to proceed with a project that cannot work, simply because the government wants to recover funds already spent on it.

"There is no reason not to make Air Peace Nigeria’s flag carrier immediately because of thousands of jobs, economic and business opportunities it has created in the aviation value chain since 2013 when it was established."

■ Words of Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, commending President Muhammadu Buhari for suspending the planned take off of Nigeria Air, describing the decision as courageous.
PoliticsNJC Recommends Sack Of Justice Rita Ofili-ajumogobia & Justice James T. Agbadu by adesaeed2020(op): 2:25pm On Oct 04, 2018
The National Judicial Council (NJC) has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to dismiss two judges accused of corruption by the anti-graft agency, EFCC.

The affected judges are Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia of the Federal High Court and James Agbadu-Fishim of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria.

PREMIUM TIMES reported the corruption allegations against both judges with Mrs Ofili-Ajumogobia already being prosecuted by the EFCC.

The NJC said it came to that conclusion after reviewing the allegations against both judges.

The NJC also rejected the voluntary retirement of another judge and asked that a lawyer be punished by the appropriate legal body.

See the full NJC statement as sent to PREMIUM TIMES below.

PRESS RELEASE

4th October, 2018

• NJC recommends the dismissal of two (2) Judges;

• Reports one private legal practitioner to Disciplinary Committee;
Rejects voluntary retirement of a Judge and orders him to refund two (2) years’ salary and emoluments;

• Issues letter of advice to one (1) Judge;

• Empanels Committees to investigate four (4) Judges of the Federal High Court.

The National Judicial Council under the Chairmanship of the Honourable Mr. Justice Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen, GCON, at its 87th Meeting which was held on 3rd October 2018, recommended the removal by dismissal from office, of Hon. Mr. Justice R. N. Ofili-Ajumogobia of the Federal High Court and Hon. Mr. Justice James T. Agbadu-Fishim of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria.

2. Hon. Mr. Justice R. N. Ofili-Ajumogobia was recommended to President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, for removal by dismissal from office pursuant to the findings by the Council on the allegations of misconduct contained in a petition to the Council by the Acting Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu, alleging that:

• Hon. Mr. Justice R. N. Ofil-Ajumogobia is a Director/Chief Executive Officer and sole signatory to Nigel and Colive Company contrary to the Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria;

• Several personalities, individuals, government officials and business partners lodged funds into various accounts belonging to the Hon. Judge; and

• There was an ex-parte communication between the Hon. Judge and Mr. Godwin Oblah, SAN, during the pendency of his matter before the His Lordship.

3. The Council, however, could not consider other allegations in the petition because they are already before a court where the judge is standing trial. Council left those matters for the trial to take its legal course.

4. Hon. Mr. Justice James T. Agbadu-Fishim of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria was also recommended for removal by dismissal from office sequel to the findings of the Council on the allegations contained in another petition by the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alleging that the Hon. Judge received various sums of money from litigants and lawyers that had cases before him, and some influential Nigerians, under the false pretence that he was bereaved or that there was delay in the payment of his salary. This is contrary to the Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

5. In the interim, the Council, in exercise of its disciplinary powers under paragraph 21 (d) of the Third Schedule of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended, has suspended Hon. Mr. Justices R. N. Ofili-Ajumogobia and James T. Agbadu-Fishim with immediate effect pending their removal from office by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia
6. Council rejected the letter of voluntary retirement, purported to be with effect from the 1st of October 2018, submitted to it by Hon. Mr. Justice Joshua E. Ikede of the Delta State High Court. This followed the findings on an allegation of falsification of age contained in a petition written by Zik Gbemre, National Co-ordinator of Niger Delta Peace Coalition. Council found that the Hon. Judge ought to have retired since 1st October 2016.

Consequently, it backdated his retirement to 2016 and recommended to the Government of Delta State to deduct from the retirement benefits of the judge, all salaries received by him from October, 2016 till date and remit it to NJC which pays salaries of all Judicial Officers in the Federation.

7. Council also decided to issue a Letter of Advice to Hon. Mr. Justice K. C. Nwakpa of High Court of Abia State to guard against unwarranted utterances in matters before him. This was as a result of a complaint to the Council by one Princewill Ukegbu.

8. Council considered the reports of various Investigation Committees and dismissed the petitions written against Hon. Mr. Justice Yusuf Halilu of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Hon. Mr. Justice E. O. Osinuga of the High Court of Ogun State, and Hon. Mr. Justice E. O. Ononeze-Madu of the High Court of Imo State.

9. The petition by Wema Bank against Hon. Mr. Justice Yusuf Halilu of the FCT High Court was dismissed because the allegation of misconduct was not established. The judge’s handling of the related matter did not amount to the alleged misconduct.

10. The petition on allegation of inducement, bias and alteration of Ruling written by David Olawepo Efunwape, Esq. against Hon. Mr. Justice E. O. Osinuga of High Court, Ogun State was found to be false.

11. Council, therefore, decided to report David Olawepo Efunwape, Esq., to the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) for appropriate sanctions for making false allegations against a judge.

12. The petition written by Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu against Hon. Mr. Justice E. O. Ononeze Madu was dismissed by the Council for lack of merit.Council also decided to warn the Petitioner and asked him to apologise to the Hon. Judge for the false allegation of inducement.

13. New petitions written against twenty-six (26) Judicial Officers from the Federal and State High Courts were considered by Council, after which it resolved to empanel four (4) Committees to investigate.

14. The remaining petitions were summarily dismissed for obvious and manifest lack of merit, being subjudice, concerning administrative matters, or that such petitions were matters for appeal. The dismissed petitions were against Hon. Mr. Justice J. O. Bada, Presiding Justice, Court of Appeal, Benin Division, Hon. Mr. Justice Abdul-Kafarati, Chief Judge, Federal High Court and Hon. Mr. Justices I. N. Buba, H. R. Shagari, R. M. Aikawa, O. E. Abang all of the Federal High Court; Hon. Mr. Justice Marshal Umukoro, Chief Judge, Delta State and Hon. Mr. Justice E. G. Timi also of the Delta State High Court, Hon. Mr. Justice S. U. Dikko, Chief Judge,Nasarawa State, Hon. Mr. Justice P. N. C. Umeadi, Chief Judge, Anambra State, Hon. Mr. Justices A. O. Opesanwo, A. This reminds me of 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene

Ambode broke Law 1: Never Outshine the Master
Always make those above you feel comfortably superior. In your desire to please or impress them, do not go too far in displaying your talents or you might accomplish the opposite – inspire fear and insecurity. Make your masters appear more brilliant than they are and you will attain the heights of power.

Tinubu Used Law 15: Crush your Enemy Totally
All great leaders since Moses have known that a feared enemy must be crushed completely. (Sometimes they have learned this the hard way.) If one ember is left alight, no matter how dimly it smolders, a fire will eventually break out. More is lost through stopping halfway than through total annihilation: The enemy will recover, and will seek revenge. Crush him, not only in body but in spirit.
PoliticsTrusted Associates Put Me NYSC Trouble - Kemi Adeosun by adesaeed2020(op): 11:00am On Sep 15, 2018
Mrs Kemi Adeosun, the finance minister until today, in her letter of resignation to President Muhammadu Buhari responded for the first time officially to the allegation of forging the NYSC exemption certificate, by expressing profound shock.

ADEOSUN
In the letter dated 14th September, 2018, the British-born Nigerian said she did not relocate to Nigeria until she was 34 years old, four years older than the 30-year limit for participation by corps members.

She blamed those she called ‘trusted associates’, who helped to arrange the ‘exemption certificate’, that came back to haunt her many years after.

“I obtained my first Nigerian passport at the age of thirty-four (34) and when I relocated there was debate as to whether NYSC Law applied to me. Upon enquiry as to my status relating to NYSC, I was informed that due to my residency history and having exceeded the age of thirty (30), I was exempted from the requirement to serve. Until recent events, that remained my understanding.

“On the basis of that advice and with the guidance and assistance of those, I thought were trusted associates, NYSC were approached for documentary proof of status. I then received the certificate in question. Having never worked in NYSC, visited the premises, been privy to nor familiar with their operations, I had no reason to suspect that the certificate was anything but genuine.”

Her letter also revealed that she took the decision to resign after an internal investigation ordered by President Buhari declared the exemption certificate as fake.

14th September, 2018

His Excellency

Muhammadu Buhari

President, Federal Republic of Nigeria

State House

Aso Villa

Abuja

Dear Excellency,

Let me commence by thanking you profusely for the honour and privilege of serving under your inspirational leadership. It has been a truly rewarding experience to learn from you and to observe at close quarters your integrity and sense of duty.

I have, today, become privy to the findings of the investigation into the allegation made in an online medium that the Certificate of Exemption from National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) that I had presented was not genuine. This has come as a shock to me and I believe that in line with this administration’s focus on integrity, I must do the honourable thing and resign.

Your Excellency, kindly permit me to outline some of the background to this matter. I was born and raised in the United Kingdom, indeed my parental family home remains in London. My visits to Nigeria up until the age of thirty-four (34) were holidays, with visas obtained in my UK passport. I obtained my first Nigerian passport at the age of thirty-four (34) and when I relocated there was debate as to whether NYSC Law applied to me. Upon enquiry as to my status relating to NYSC, I was informed that due to my residency history and having exceeded the age of thirty (30), I was exempted from the requirement to serve. Until recent events, that remained my understanding.

On the basis of that advice and with the guidance and assistance of those, I thought were trusted associates, NYSC were approached for documentary proof of status. I then received the certificate in question. Having never worked in NYSC, visited the premises, been privy to nor familiar with their operations, I had no reason to suspect that the certificate was anything but genuine. Indeed, I presented that certificate at the 2011 Ogun State House of Assembly and in 2015 for Directorate of State Services (DSS) Clearance as well as to the National Assembly for screening. Be that as it may, as someone totally committed to a culture of probity and accountability I have decided to resign with effect from Friday, 14th September, 2018.

Your Excellency, It has been an exceptional privilege to have served our nation under your leadership and to have played a role in steering our economy at a very challenging time. I am proud that Nigeria has brought discipline into its finances, has identified and is pursuing a path to long term sustainable growth that will unlock the potential in this great economy. Under your leadership, Nigeria was able to exit recession and has now started to lay the foundations for lasting growth and wealth creation. Repositioning this huge economy is not a short term task and there are no short cuts, indeed there are tough decisions still to be made but I have no doubt that your focus on infrastructural investment, revenue mobilisation and value for money in public expenditure will deliver growth, wealth and opportunity for all Nigerians.

I thank His Excellency, the Vice President and my colleagues in the Federal Executive Council for the huge pleasure and honour of working with them. I also thank most specially, the team in the ‘Finance Family’ of advisers and heads of agencies under the Ministry of Finance. Your Excellency, this group of committed Nigerians represent a range of backgrounds, ethnicities and ages. They have worked well above and beyond the call of duty to support me in the tasks assigned. The diversity in my team and their ability to work cohesively to deliver reforms, convinces me that Nigeria has the human capital required to succeed.

Your Excellency, let me conclude by commending your patience and support, during the long search for the truth in this matter. I thank you again for giving me the honour of serving under your leadership, it is a rare privilege, which I do not take for granted. As a Nigerian and committed progressive, I appreciate you for your dogged commitment to improving this nation.

Please be assured, as always, of my highest regards and best wishes.

Kemi Adeosun(Mrs)

AN operative of the Vehicle Inspection Office, VIO, Monday received several slaps and kicks from a police officer attached to the inspector General of Police, IGP X Squad monitoring unit for allegedly collecting an undisclosed amount of money from a commercial motorcycle operator popularly known as Okada.

The incident which was witnessed by Vanguard at about 11:20am, occurred along the Ufuoma-Odovie road in Ughelli North local government area of Delta State Trouble started when a member of the X Squad team in company of four others whom were driving in a blue Sienna car, immediately stopped at the checkpoint mounted by the VIO operatives and immediately pounced on the VIO personnel over allegation of him collecting an undisclosed amount of money from the Okada rider. The incident was further aggreviated as the battered VIO was also flogged with a police belt amidst his fruitless efforts in trying to prove his innocence to the policeman while his colleagues watch helplessly. The Old Man

An 88 year old man was having his annual checkup and the doctor asked him how he was feeling. "I've never been better!" he boasted. "I've got an eighteen year old bride who's pregnant and having my child! What do you think about that?"

The doctor considered this for a moment, then said, "Let me tell you a story. I knew a guy who was an avid hunter. He never missed a season.

But one day he went out in a bit of a hurry and he accidentally grabbed his umbrella instead of his gun."

The doctor continued, "So he was in the woods and suddenly a grizzly bear appeared in front of him! He raised up his umbrella, pointed it at the bear and squeezed the handle." "And do you know what happened?" the doctor queried.

Dumbfounded, the old man replied "No."

The doctor continued, "The bear dropped dead in front of him!"

"That's impossible!" exclaimed the old man. "Someone else must have shot that bear."

"That's kind of what I'm getting at..." replied the doctor.

The Time for Meme warfare beckons...

2019 is around the corner and the game for minds begins.

Memetrix warfare is not a new thing that came out from the internetz but has been deployed since ancient man went to war.

The Allied forces used Meme warfare to both inspire their troops to war and also to rouse support from their populace.

Democratic Politics is an aspect of war - a cold blooded war towards attaining power so it is no brainer that sooner or later the condensed animinated messaging posters used in wars will be deployed to the front line of political campaigns.

We saw a lot of this in the last elections being deployed by the APC roaches and sadly enough they have at their arsenal more zombots to spread their vile rubbish towards re-electing their Khalifa. But there is hope. Just like the ALT-Right used Meme warfare to take down that Wiccan Witch of Washington's (Hilary Clinton) presidential bid and install The Donald, we also can do it here. The DemoRATs in the US never knew what hit them because for decades they have been adherent students of Paul ALinsky's 101 Rules for Radicals - the same set of vile slanderous lying campaign which the Obama administration and the DNC taught the APC Alausa roaches well in 2015 and to which Lai Mohammed is still reviewing on a daily basis..

The APC Meme warfare will be coordinated not only by BMC, BSO, BMO and a host of soon to be launched other useless alphabetic acronyms with a ''B'' in front and they will target NOT only who emerges as the flag bearer for the opposition but also YOU who do not subscribe to a Buhari return. This is exactly how they made ridicule of any one who supported the re-election bid of GEJ all over social media which will later transmute into the real world. From there they drowned every reasonable concerned opposition towards a Buhari candidacy. It was a simple but sophisticated bullying tactic compounded with a herding and social conforming gimmick. Ironically, the herding of the sheeple to vote a Fulani cowboy who led them to the slaughter slabs.

We must NOT allow them to use the same gimmick to drown or silence our voice.

I will be starting my own Memetric warfare here on Nairaland and I hope all of you who are truly concerned with the spate of Nigeria and where these APC demons are herding us to will oblige to volunteer your time, skill and social network to spread the memes.

Unlike the APC demonic zombies, I will be relying on the utmost truth - which as they say is the ultimate weapon to free the imprisoned sheeple. I have under my belt several Meme phrases/terms that have gone viral and are part of the day-to-day nomenclature used on 9ja cyberspace. I was the first to tag them zombies. I was the first to draw attention to the Yoruba Muslim blight and their subservience to Sokoto and phobia to both the truth and commonsense.

We should not wait for them to shoot the first salvo as they have giving us more than enough rope to hang all of them.

Let the games begin.
U av already failed before u start. Ur hatred and tribal bigotory towards Yoruba Muslims will kill u one day.
