Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard, has predicted the result of the Champions League match between PSG and Liverpool, in his statement he also ruled out any move to PSG.
Hazard claimed that the French champions are capable of winning the match against Liverpool in Champions League.
Liverpool beat PSG 3-2 earlier in the season but Hazard said the tables could be turned on Wednesday evening.

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, promised to increase the salary, allowances and pensions of the Nigerian Police force and tasked them to do more in the protection of human life.

Fashola Throws Weight Behind Buhari’s Re-Election
Babatunde Fashola, minister of power, works, and housing, says the Muhammadu Buhari-led government is repairing the road to former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s house.
In a recent interview with Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji, Fashola further stated that he is firmly behind the 2019 candidacy of President Buhari.
Speaking on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Fashola said the first thing is that Buhari’s government has started work there, after it was ignored by past governments, including Obasanjo’s government.
“We have started work o, some people wey dey write letter since, e dey there, na the road to their house, them no do anything,” Fashola said in pidgin English.

The Oba of Lagos, His Highness Oba Rilwan Akiolu has said Nigeria’s former President Olusegun Obasanjo is the major problem of Nigeria today.

The monarch in an interview with Vanguard, said the former president was “running after” Lagos when in government, instead of focusing on the country’s investments.
“The major problem of Nigeria today is former President Olusegun Obasanjo. When he was in government, he was running after Lagos while someone was cornering all the blue-chip companies that belong to the country.
He cannot win election in his ward in Abeokuta. He ignored all Supreme Court judgements which were in favour of Lagos State. He told me that ‘Tinubu is stubborn, each time he goes to court even if he wins, I will make the condition of the court unenforceable’.
I told him, it is true Bola Ahmed Tinubu is stubborn but his stubbornness is based on popular support. Tinubu is a good man and an achiever, but stubborn to a fault; if I tell him he’s stubborn, he will say he is taking after me,” he said.

Three members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, has been put under investigation for possible sanction following their suing of the party’s governorship candidate in the state’s election, Senator Ademola Adeleke, over alleged fake certificate.
The party’s member under investigation in accordance with the party’s constitution, are Olalekan Awosiyan, Thomas Ojetade and Sina Awodire,
The zonal Secretary of the party, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, while speaking with newsmen in Ibadan on Thursday, stated that the members had “employed blackmail to destabilize the party for reasons best known to them.”
Jenyo, who said the zone would soon recommend the alleged culprits for disciplinary action, used the occasion to dispel the claim by Ojetade that he (Jenyo) threatened him to withdraw from the suit they instituted against Adeleke.

Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has clarified to Nigerians that the change promised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Nigerians didn’t have a time frame.
In his clarification yesterday while speaking at the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 campaign in Ikeja, Lagos State, he said the party never promised that the change agenda would be achieved within a specific time frame.
“In 2014, we said we would change Nigeria but we did not say we will do it in four years. This election therefore is a choice between going forward to the next level or backward because the work has already begun,” Fashola said.

Reno Omokri, former aide of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, says President Muhammadu Buhari lied on his claim of increasing power generation.

He said the president’s administration could not have increased power generation from 4,000 megawatts in 2015 to 7,000.

In a series of post on his Twitter page, Omokri said the achievements on Buhari’s campaign manual are “next level lies”.

He stated that the power projects highlighted in the manual, including the Mambilla hydropower plant, were carried out by the administration of Jonathan, while the present administration has no achievement of its own.

According to the Buhari campaign manual and the Next Level Scorecard, the president plans to provide 24 hours of electricity for Nigerians in the next five years.

“One of the achievements in the @MBuhari Next Level campaign document is that they increased power from 4000 megawatts in 2015 to 7000 megawatts today.

The Lagos state police command have arrested Peter Adida of No.9 Oyetayo Olafisoye street Westwood estate, Badore, Ajah, Lagos for allegedly defiling his 2-year-old daughter.

Preliminary medical report indicated that there was penetration and that the baby is infected.

The political fund-raiser inaugurated on GoFundMe by the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Mr. Omoyele Sowore, has generated $97, 226 out of the $2m mark.
The amount was raised by 1,168 people in eight months, the site says. Omoyele had told his audience that if 10,000 Nigerians and friends of Nigeria could each donate $200, the goal would be reached. However, the donations, so far, range from five dollars (lowest) to $650 (highest).
GoFundMe is an online fund-raiser platform. It situates Sowore’s location as New York City.
Sowore, who is contesting the presidency with the slogan, ‘Take Back Nigeria Movement,’ said he inaugurated the online platform “to raise funds via a clean, transparent and open manner.”

National working committee (NWC) has set up six reconciliation committees to quell the wounds faced by the party in the recent primary elections.
Each committee was set up on geopolitical basis and will have seven members, including the governors elected on the platform of the party, except the three aggrieved governors.
Governors Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun) and Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara) are all aggrieved that their preferred candidates did not pick the governorship tickets of their states for the 2019 general election.
All the other 19 APC governors are members of the committees, which consist of other prominent members of the party.
The committees will be inaugurated on Wednesday.

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has said that Nigerian government can afford living wage for workers, if stealing of public money is curbed, a report by The Nation has revealed.
He said non-payment of salaries by governors creates a vicious circle leading to low production and eventual loss of jobs.
Oshiomhole, a former trade union leader, said as a governor, he told his colleagues that payment of salaries was no burden, but a means of enhancing the development potential of the state.
He said that the country’s major problem is stealing of public resources.
The former Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) president spoke on a television programme.
His position is in clear contrast with that of state governors, who claimed they could not pay a national minimum wage of N30,000 being proposed, unless they downsized the staff force.

Academic activities have finally resumed at the Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe, where Boko Haram insurgents abducted 110 schoolgirls on Feb.19.
The Principal of the school, Hajiya Adama Abdulkarim disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Dapchi.
Abdulkarim said that at least 80 per cent of the students and teachers had resumed.
“More than 80 per cent of the students has resumed, likewise the teachers. Almost all of them are around except very few who are away for one or more official reasons.

The Hope Democratic Party (HDP) has gone to the court to challenge the short period given to parties by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to campaign in preparation for the 2019 general election.
NAN reports that the party approached a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Nov. 13 (Tuesday) to compel INEC to elongate time for campaign to enable the party propagate its message of “welfarism” to Nigerians.

Labour Threatens Fresh Strike Over Minimum Wage
The federal government has been given a December 2018 deadline for the implementation of the N30,000 new national minimum wage for Nigerian workers.
The President of Trade Union Congress (TUC), Bobboi Bala Kaigama and the Secretary General of the Association of Senior Civil Servant of Nigeria (ASCSN), Bashir Alade Lawal, gave the warning at the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja yesterday.
The two labour leaders warned that anything short of the N30,000 agreed by the Committee would be promptly rejected and will spell bad times for the Nigerian government.

A man identified as Jibril Idrisa, has been sentenced to death by hanging by a Jos Court of Appeal on Tuesday, for killing his father over N56,000 being gotten from the sale of Guinea Corn.
Justice Habib Abima, while delivering the judgment, overturned the judgement of the lower court that acquitted Idrisa.
“The court sets aside the judgment delivered by the lower Court discharging and acquitting Jibril Idris.
“He is found guilty of the offence of culpable homicide punishable with death contrary to section 211 of the penal code law of Bauchi State.

Hon. Donatus Nwankpa, the Abia State chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has criticized some party leaders over the call for the removal of Mr. Adams Oshiomhole as the national chairman of the party.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has suggested that it might give up the plan to impeach the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, as it threatened, following their defection.
The APC, speaking through its National Auditor, Dr. George Moghalu, told Daily Sun that the rigid stipulations for the impeachment of the principal officers have compelled the ruling party to shelve the idea.
Moghalu pointed out that though the party desires to impeach Dogara and Saraki, the prevailing circumstance made it impossible.

EFCC To Grill APC National Chairman
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will this week begin investigation into allegations of financial misconduct leveled against the embattled national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, and his Chief of Staff, Abbas Braimoh.
Speaking at the weekend, a member of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the anti-graft agency will invite Oshiomhole for interrogation over the allegations as they constitute financial crime.
According to him, there were series of petitions forwarded to the anti-graft agency by some aggrieved stakeholders of the party following the outcome of the just concluded primaries where it was alleged that Oshiomhole allegedly collected bribes to award the party’s tickets to the highest bidder.
