Any Japa to the Caribbean, the main issue is flight because you would surely need a transit visa of either Schengen, UK or USA

Transit is the main issue except if you have schegen, UK, USA or Canada visa already.
wavz:

I was watching a vlog from an African visiting the Caribbean .

Both the Jamaicans and the Africans, thr airline that makes a way for flights direct from the Caribbean will make $$$$$.

Many want to visit the Caribbean but TRANSIT visa issue is a problem.
Travel / Re: USA Transit Visa by Adezworld(m): 1:59am On Jan 06
I got it although couldn't use it until it expired due to transit issue, I applied to the consulate in Abuja most importantly I attached my invitation letter from my Jamaica friend to the application and I was given 3 months visa, currently working on better/easy transit route without needing USA, UK or Canada visa once I get a better route, I will reapply
timiakogun:
How did you get a Jamaican visa please

How did you make the trip, do you have existing UK or US visa used for easy transit
nwauwa:

I just returned from holidays from nengril, Jamaica- beautiful place i tell ya.

The embassy is in Abuja , the visa is easy to get if you hold a valid US or UK visa.
Travel / Re: Flight To Jamaica Without Transit Visa by Adezworld(m): 11:14pm On Jul 04, 2023
Either you get us or UK visa for you to be able to fly or perhaps find a way to get Brazil or colombia visa, when you arrive at Brazil or colombia, book another flight ticket using copa airline, layover in Panama would be less than 5hrs,
Dynette:

Panama don’t issue visa
And the layover on flights I have been seeing is 14hrs…someone should help me pls,my visa will expire next month
Travel / Re: Flight To Jamaica Without Transit Visa by Adezworld(m): 4:32am On Jun 27, 2023
You can advise her to book another flight from brazil using copa airline to Jamaica directly and layover in Panama shouldn't exceed 7hrs
NrsKay:

Please how do you think someone that got stuck in Brazil can find her way to Jamaica. Her final destination is Jamaica and she obtained Brazil transit visa but on getting to Brazil, she was told there is need for Panama transit visa.

This is the second time this would happen, this is more of scam
mbapelvis:
Some one referred to a chartered flight here. I contacted them. But see what they sent out today. Examine yourself and determine whether it genuine or a Ponzi scheme or some sort of scam. No wonder many are always stranded in Nigeria.

Dear Esteemed customer,

I hope this message finds you well.
This is to inform you that our July 29th departure will now be postponed to Oct 11th.
We are mandated to make this decision very early to avoid the forfeiture  of the deposit paid for the charter. With one month' to go before our scheduled departure, we have an opportunity to postpone but should we cross over into July, we stand to lose it all.

We know that many of us have embraced last minute purchasing behaviour, as Nigerian consumers.  This, unfortunately, is not  one of the times when  we can wait until the last minute.
All must be done at least one month before departure.

While the revised October date might seem far and inconvenient , it comes with an advantage as we have a ready group going for a Business Summit in Jamaica between those dates.
This means we wouldn't be depending on only tourists for numbers.
-

We ask for your support and understanding with regard to these new dates as practical alternatives to get into Jamaica are almost impossible, due to various restrictions in Panama and elsewhere.
-
For those who have either paid a deposit of $1000 or paid in full, these funds remain secure.
For new purchases, bases on the various economic changes the previous rates are no longer available and ticket prices are now as follows:

Nigeria - Jamaica
$3500 Economy
$6200 Business

&
Jamaica to Nigeria
$2,200 economy
$3700 business
-
Should you wish to request a refund,
$1000 - remains non-refundable but transferable- which means you can always get someone else to substitute.

The balance on the amount you paid will be made available within 14- 21 working days.
-
Please indicate your preferred option, so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

We remain committed to providing unforgettable travel and tourism experiences and we appreciate your continued support.

Travel / Re: Flight To Jamaica Without Transit Visa by Adezworld(m): 4:07am On May 22, 2023
Was it difficult getting colombia visa,
soyenuga:
I flew qatar that time. Flew lagos to doha to sao paulo then bogota. Its a long one, but the layover in doha is just 2 hours. And the layover in sao paulo is about 4 hours. But To get to Jamaica direct from Nigeria I could not do it. I had to go to Colombia for a couple of days just to hang out and then go to Jamaica from Colombia via Copa Airlines, but they don't go every day. Colombia visa was not so hard to get for us.

Sill001:
Pls help, how can I report my landlord to the Lagos State government as soon as possible?

Location is Ikotun.

I'm just tired of wicked Lagos landlords.

I paid close to N200,000 for the house, but later discovered that all the water used in bathing in the bathroom does not flow out, no drainage. The water is being soaked by the wall. The walls are soaked. My properties are spoiling already because of the too much dampness of the walls and floor.

He promised to do it but he will never do it, because I discovered that's his usual style, to collect money and disappear. All the tenants are tired of his wickedness.

The dangerous thing here is that the whole house is a duplex and it's upstairs (decking) with many flats upstairs but I stay downstairs, so it's very very dangerous for me because of the walls in my room soaking water continuously, which can collapse anytime. All the bath water and washing water goes to the foundation of the building. No draining. It's a very risky place I'm staying and with likelihood of collapse any moment.

Not only that, the outstanding NEPA bill I later discovered for the whole house is currently over N200,000. He refused to sort it out and we have been paying for the old bill which we never used, yet our light would trip off within 3 days even after paying a lot of money, up to 15k or 20k at times, because of the outstanding bill.

For the drainage, which is my major concern, he kept delaying and giving excuses and promises for the past four months I packed in, but when he ran out of lies, he just told me yesterday on the phone that he will never do the drainage. And during inspection, this kind of thing is not possible to detect it because it's not possible for you to bath and see whether water is flowing through the drainage during house inspection.

He even boasted that he will never do it and that I should do my worst. Very wicked and irresponsible old man.

Pls how can I report him to the Lagos State government? To avoid building collapse. To compel him to do it because of the safety of my life.

Pls help. Thanks.  .

You can report him to Lagos State Building Control Agency, but be prepared to move out of the building because it will either be marked for immediate demolition or will give him stipulated time to fix it.
