PoliticsGovernor Ortom Should Start Paying Salary, Enough Excuses by Adieza(op): 8:28am On Feb 27, 2018
A CLARION CALL TO GOVERNOR SAMUEL ORTOM TO START PAYING SALARIES

By Yakubu Jimoh

This article is not criticize the person of Mr Samuel Ortom but to tell him the game he is currently playing ahead of 2019, like you all know I am an opinion writer.
The Social Media, Newspapers, Online Newspaper Outlet, Activists, Lawyers and Politicians were all talking about constant killings by herdsmen in Benue state, Nigeria. It was really a bad thing, especially the killings of 75 people, including women, children and men. I am glad the government has been taking actions towards the issue, A Military Operation in Curbing the Herds Killer Activities was recently launched in the state by General Buratai. The Governor has been playing with the citizen lives by not utilizing the security funds given to him monthly to use. It is very painful when a Governor is trying to shift focus from things that matter.
1. Salaries
2. Security
According to reports and complaints Governor ortom hasn't paid salary since February, 2017. It is very painful things when you are depriving your citizens their right. I won't want Mr Ortom to use the issue of herdsmen killing and stop paying salaries, the state institutions are all on strike. According to my research and interviews, 80% of Benue Citizen don't want Mr Samuel Ortom, I will hope after Mr Ortom has read this post he will try to weak on aforementioned areas that needs cogent attention. I know my Governor will want to prove the people wrong and go for 2nd Term, Please Kindly Offset the Salaries and Do things that is necessary for Benue People.
There has been uproar by Benue citizens on how Governor has lost focus and it has because of that stopped paying salaries, I read where some young men revealed the Governor is empowering them with Guns as militiamen. This is very bad. This picture below was released where Governor Civil Servants are protesting because of their salary and Promotion.
Governor Ortom, You were voted in because of These Problems Benue has been facing, kindly endeavours to try to write positive about yourself and Benue before you leave office,
Yakubu.
Kindly help share this post for Governor Ortom to take actions Today

PoliticsSaraki And Obaseki Meets On Human Trafficking by Adieza(op):
*Obaseki, Saraki brainstorm on illegal migration, human trafficking in Benin*

Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki today hosted Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, at the Government House, in Benin City.

The Senate President is in Benin to attend the Senate Roundtable on Migration and Human Trafficking, which is expected to draw a roadmap to address issues of human trafficking and illegal migration.

Edo State has been in the eye of the storm since a global outrage, trailed the discovery of slave camps in Libya. This led to the evacuation of victims of the ugly trade, and a significant portion of the returnees reportedly hail from Edo State.

But the government, led by Mr Godwin Obaseki has been resolute about the campaign to receive and reintegrate victims of human trafficking.

BLEACHING: THE FASTEST WAY OF GETTING CANCER

By Yakubu Jimoh John
Skin whitening is the practice of using substances, mixtures, or physical treatments to lighten skin color.
Skin whitening treatments work by reducing the content of melanin of the skin.
This bleaching of a thing is commonly done in our society nowadays, it is so rampant in the present day, According to research Women has the highest percentage of bleaching they carries up to 80% of it.
It is now known that chemical bleaching can lead to serious skin and health conditions which include: permanent skin bleaching, thinning of skin, uneven colour loss, leading to a blotchy appearance, redness and intense irritation, dark grey spots, skin cancer, acne, increase in appetite and weight gain, osteoporosis, ...

Skin bleaching is popular with darker - skinned people to obtain a more even skin tone, but skin bleaching cream is also often used to lighten sun damageand age spots on the skin in people of all skin colors .
Skin bleaching should be done under the supervision of a trained dermatologist , but too often hydroquinone cream, the most common type of skin bleach, is used without any supervision, which can result in uneven lightening of the skin and a slew of other undesirable effects.

6 MAJOR EFFECTS OF SKIN BLEACHING

1. LIGHTENED SKIN
The purpose of skin bleaching is to obtain a lighter skin tone, either all over the face or on a few smaller areas. The main ingredient of most cosmetically-available skin bleaching creams, hydroquinone, is effective in bringing about permanent lightening of the skin by inhibiting enzyme reaction of the skin which causes dark pigments.

2. IT CAUSES SKIN DISEASES
A study performed by the Department of Dermatology, Institut d'Hygiène Sociale, Dakar, Senegal, and published in a 2003 issue of the British Journal of Dermatology found that those who suffered from skin diseases like acne, dermatitis and eczema were adversely affected by skin bleaching creams. The hydroquinone caused a worsening in some skin diseases. In fact, of the 368 women tested, most had a worsening or even introduction of skin diseases upon using the bleaching product.

3. UNEVEN COLOURING
Depending how you apply the product, you could find a mottled or uneven result from sloppy application. The uneven coloring may also be the result of uneven pigmentation on your skin. This uneven coloring could make your age spots appear to be worse, or cause some of your skin to remain darker than other areas.

4. IMPAIRED HEALING
If you use bleaching cream on your skin, you could be impairing your skin's ability to heal when suffering from an injury, lesion or rash. A study performed by the Dermatology Unit, Department of Medicine, College of Medicine, Lagos, Nigeria and published in a 2008 issue of the International Journal of Dermatology found that bleaching creams impaired the wound healing ability in African subjects.

5. DRYNESS, REDNESS AND BURNING
The ingredients in bleaching cream, namely the hydroquinone, is a fairly caustic substance. Drugs.com notes that some of the known side effects for hydroquinone included redness, peeling, a rash, dryness and burning where you've applied the cream. That's why bleaching cream should be purchased and used under the strict supervision of a dermatologist.
6. IT CAUSES CANCER
In case you don't know it causes cancer, it leads to skin cancer and your lifespan is reduced.
I want to use this medium to pass the information that bleaching is a dangerous thing, those that are bleaching are prone to have skin cancer. Stop Bleaching today and reduce cancer in our society.
Kindly share this post to someone today.

Find out what the majority of
people are doing and do
exactly the opposite.”

A young newlywed was preparing
a ham for Christmas dinner.

She carefully cut off the end
of the ham before placing it in
the pan for roasting. Her
husband asked her, “Why did you
cut off the end of the ham?”

And she replied,“I really don’t
know. My mother always did.
So I thought you were supposed
to.”

Later, when talking to her mother,
she asked her why she cut off
the end of the ham before roasting.

And her mother replied, “I really
don’t know, but that’s the way
my mom always did it.”

A few weeks later while visiting
her grandmother, the young
woman asked, “Grandma, why is
it that you cut off the end of
a ham before you roast it?”

Her grandmother replied, “Well,
dear, it would never fit into
my roasting pan.”

What’s the moral of the story?

All of their lives, people do
what they’re familiar with.
It’s why conventional wisdom
has held back people for centuries.

It’s the scripture of mediocrity.
Mediocre beliefs create mediocre
beliefs.

Conventional wisdom is for the
masses. Are the masses broke
or rich? Exactly.

All of our lives, were told by
our peers that our goals
aren't realistic.

Our dreams are too far-
fetched. Our expectations
are too high.

They preach to us that:

“Those things are for other
people.”

“We certainly can’t except that
for ourselves; who are we
kidding.”

So next time, when someone
says to you, “You can’t do
that,” you better reply:

“Yeah? Watch me!

Yesterday, I talked about the Exponential Growth Method. Some brave people have even told me it doesn't work although, they don't even understand it yet. Now if you want to supercharge your life from today, start by breaking down the effort exponentially.

lets say you want to start reading books because this is a major problem to some people and without reading many books you probably, won't really succeed in your activities. So you will do something like this:

You are going to double your effort every time for 6 times.

You pick a book, read one page the first day, double that effort 6 more times like this:

Day 1 = 1 page
Day 2 = 2 pages
Day 3 = 4 pages
Day 4 = 8 pages
Day 5 = 16 Pages
Day 6 = 32 pages.
Day 7 = 64 pages (1.5 hours max.)

Repeat the sequence every week until you are at your exponential working level. Even at this rate you would have read 17-20 books a year which is like a walk in the park.

Try it.

OPEN LETTER TO MRS LAURETTA ONOCHIE ON BIG BROTHER NAIJA

Dear Lauretta,
Thanks for taking out of your time to reply to my outcry and pleas to end Immorality in our great Country.
I want to take you up to some facts ma, I don't think you know ma that, Nigeria serves just like a role model to other Africa Countries. I was really surprised when you said Nigeria Government can't stop the immorality show tarnishing the image of our dear country, This show is demonic, In this year edition there was image circulating on social media where butts were exposed, House Mates Romancing themselves and others are smoking.
You talked about controlling the children from watching the show, Ma this show is covered on all social media blogs, Major News Outlets , It is everywhere and constantly updated all over the social media,I should stop my child from reading news or going to Social media Right? I don't expect you to be beating around the bush on this issue, You can withdraw the license from DSTV from showing this show.
Lauretta, I think you are a christian? Do you closely look at the Logo of the show it has an eye in it which represent the Illuminati signs, Are you campaigning for Anti Christ? Are you campaigning for Devil ma? Are you telling me Nigeria has been sold to the Demon?

# 1. Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor's wife and defile yourself with her. -- Leviticus 18:20
# 2. Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. -- 1st Corinthians 6:9-10
I will not relent and rest unless an action is take stop this immorality, I will not rest and give up. We need to protect the Africa Values and Dear Country. Nigeria Youths are seriously behind on political stances, We need to champion our Youths to something that will promote our future and give us good image as a leader in Africa.

In Quran: “The woman or man found guilty of sexual intercourse – lash each one of them with a hundred lashes, and do not be taken by pity for them in the religion of Allah, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a group of the believers witness their punishment”. Quran 24:2
“ And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses – lash them with eighty lashes and do not accept from them testimony ever after. And those are the defiantly disobedient”. Quran 24:4
4:15 “Those who commit unlawful sexual intercourse of your women – bring against them four [witnesses] from among you. And if they testify, confine the guilty women to houses until death takes them or Allah ordains for them [another] way”. Quran 4:15
Thank You,
Yakubu.

What makes you a Nigerian. Is it just because you are born in Nigeria or have Nigerian parents?

I am 33 years out of Nigeria.
I don't think Nigerian.
I don't behave like a Nigerian.
I don't dress Nigerian.
I don't feel Nigerian.
I don't like living in Nigeria.

However,

I think European.
I behave like a European.
I dress like a European.
I feel European.
I like living in Europe.

I guess that makes me a European with Nigerian affiliation.

Nigeria is a unique country, and there are people who really love to think Nigerian, behave like a Nigerian, dress Nigerian, feel Nigerian and love living in Nigeria. For these people it would be a disservice to change anything about Nigeria. Like Buhari once said, "If you don't like Nigeria then get out of Nigeria." I don't agree with him often, but in this case, I sincerely do.

The problem with people like me is we are trying so hard to change people who are proudly Nigerians. That is a herculean task.

Like Fela said.

"When cat sleep rat go bite him tail
Weh e dey find Palava he dey find
(Palava he go get eh ohhh)
Palava he go get"

So, if you don't feel Nigerian, chances are, you are probably not a Nigerian. Then make arrangement to leave Nigeria and stay away from Nigeria.

*Edo Youths, Police Clash: Policemen alleged to have caused cab driver’s death testify before Panel*

Two Policemen involved in the incident at Upper Igun area of Benin City that led to the alleged killing of a cab driver, David Okoniba, have appeared before the Justice Joseph Olubor-led Administrative Panel of Inquiry to give testimony of their involvement in the fracas which led to a clash between the Police and some youths in the state.

The Panel set up by Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, to look into the immediate and remote cause of the incident, commenced hearing on February 15, Thursday. Fiancé of the deceased Miss Ruth Okojie, has since appeared before the panel.

However, at the weekend, two of the Police officers on duty at the Police post where the incident occurred appeared before the panel and gave their versions of the circumstances surrounding the death of Okoniba.

The Policemen are Inspector Adebisi and Sergeant Gabriel, who maintained that they were on duty on the fateful day for regular stop and search operations.

Chairman of the Panel, Justice Olubor said appreciable progress has been recorded since the hearing began, as those who witnessed the incident have been forthcoming with testimonies of what transpired on the fateful day. He added that if the turnout is sustained, enough leads as to the cause of the incident would be gathered.

Noting that the testimonies will facilitate the realisation of the panel’s mission, he said, “Today’s turnout has been impressive and we have made progress. We took testimonies from quite a number of witnesses. I can see the enthusiasm of members of the public; it is very impressive. I believe, if testimonies continue at this rate, we will be able to get enough information that will assist the Panel.”

Justice Olubor encouraged other members of the public with vital information to appear before the panel and tender their testimonies, as the venue of the seating is quite accessible.

Others, who appeared before the panel, include, one Emmanuel Okosun, a mechanic in the area; Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor from Esan South East Local Government Area, Chris Oseiwe Oribhabor; father of one of the deceased persons in the clash (Junior Onogbosele), Monday Onogbosele; the driver of the trailer, Dirisu Aneru and Mr. Ikponmwosa Kennedy Nehikhare.

That name thing is a Western culture and unafrican besides Muslims don't change their names and as a woman your father's name can be retained as a middle name(if you are Christian) after marriage.

I don't think it's a name thing rather people needed more males to work on their farms in the past and in some tribes they pass on inheritance to males but other tribes give both genders(male/female) our law supports the later , also women now own properties and control wealth which is good for girls. Right now most normal families want both males and females (it's also prayed for during weddings). These things are personal, to each his own, whatever rocks your boat.

Crazy how Africans are always planning for their death. And when death finally comes they are scared to dead.

People will get married because they want to have children not because they love them, but because it is time. These children are supposed to care for them at old age before they die and inherit their properties after they are dead.

Sometimes, they will only have female children, Then, there will be big problems because there is no one to take their name after death. ( I heard there is even prayer point for this now). This fact alone will make their lives and that of their partners miserable for a lifetime.

A women that continuously made female children is doomed. These men however, don't know that it is not the women but them that is doing it. So, this is now a reason to abandon the wife and go for another women to have the golden male child. Now you have a divided family.

The big problem is, the man doesn't even have a house yet to be inherited. So he will now have to do everything he can to build one. work hard, steal, blackmail etc. Sometimes, that will get him into more troubles and even make him more miserable. He will spend all his time pursuing money to take care of these children and as soon as he has some money, send them to school in far away countries to get a better education. Because he wants them to be successful after his death.

So one day, he finally gets the long awaited news, if he is lucky that the death he was always preparing for has now arrived. Then he wondered what has he done with his life.

After he finally dies and buried, his children will start fighting over the inheritance, most of them will end up never speaking with each other again. What an achievement!

Then the sons will repeat the same circle again.

So if you are a male reading this, please put an end to this madness, you will have a much happier life. Trust me.

Good is Good Enough. If you want to be happy then you must realize that you don't have to be great. Someone I love very much often tells me. "I am happy with my life, I don't have to be great" That is a profound statement. When you think about it very well then you will start to appreciate the statement.

Why is butterfly not fast? The eagle is much faster. Why is it not strong. It is very fragile. It basically, cannot protect itself. However, the butterfly is Good enough and full of beauty and elegance.

The butterfly and the Eagle have different DNA. no matter how hard the butterfly tries, it is never going to have the speed of the eagle. Likewise, no matter how hard the eagle tries, it is never going to have the elegance of the butterfly. Imagine how frustrating and stressful it would be if the butterfly should try to be like the eagle.

So what are you, an eagle or a butterfly? Find out what you are good at and you will soon find out that Good is Good enough.
