Of the 5 Presidential candidates in the 2nd session, the biggest LOSER was President GEJ. He was floored by the other candidates in all the questions he was asked. He couldnt even articulate those points where his administration was doing well.

In the area of SECURITY, he fumbled to answer straight questions. He failed to talk about the Chibok girls again>

On corruption, he was woeful. I wonder what type of Advisers he has! How can he still be sticking to this CORRUPTION IS STEALING nonsense!

On the issue of the Refineries,the other contestants took him to the cleaners! He didnt just have anything to say except that the PIB has not still been passed! As if that is the magical wand to fix everything that is obviously wrong in the Energy sector!


Over all, it was a Good thing GMB did not come, it would have been an avalanche against GEJ.

Even me a critic of Jonathan advised his handlers not to allow him to participate in the debates if Buhari refuses to show up. If Buhari is not there the debates lack value to the Jonathan campaign. Almost all the other candidates especially the woman professor are actually more intelligent and better informed than the President and will only degrade his value without having anything to lose but PDP political strategy seems to be planned over Hennessey and Jack Daniels so no surprise.

I was expecting you to be worried because the analysts in Punch have confirmed what we have been trying to drum into the thick heads of APC supporters here: that election is won with structures on ground.

PDP has a well-oiled grassroots mobilising machine.

There are NO structures on the ground for PDP. That was an ancient thing that they had that was destroyed when Jona bought the sole presidential candidacy and quarelled with OBJ and other elders of the party. A part of the PDP has become JRP (Jonathan Re election Party). JRP has no structure, what thy are is about 60 people in Nigeria who have been given money to mobilise support for Jonathan. If you call that machinery then you are joking. The little hat remains of the actual PDP is made up of professional politicians in the north and south west leveraging their local popularity to win their own Senate, reps and state house of reps seats, they are not for Jona.

Buhari will win River state, Jonathan will pull not more than 60% votes in Akwa Ibom. Also surprises await Jonathan in Imo and Plateau as his victories in 2011 will greatly decline in both states.

APC governor is likely in Rivers but I am not sure Buhari wins it. One important factor is that Riverine Rivers used to be close to the core north (they continually punished Zik, Awo and Falae with rejection in the past) and they might also have decided to punish Jonathan and Patience for another reason entirely; high handedness in moving governorship to the upland. The important consideration in Rivers and Akwa Ibom politics is after Good luck what next, only people who are chopping g now can answer that in the affirmative so maybe Buhari still takes it. Also in Akwa Ibom there are serious intra state ethnic cleavages and tensions that APC can exploit. PDP will reap heavily in Lagos because of anger at Tinubu's oligarchial approach to politics and government. Ambode will not win but Buhari will sweep it.
Jonathan will LOSE the election because of corruption and complete lack of political, inspirational and leadership skills

Bulgaria is not going to attend event anchored by a parastatal under PDP. It is presidential to be discussing with Jonathan and his other parties who have adopted him. Let us face the truth, if any lesser politician does this he is capable of losing the election, for Buhari, it is not even a dent. That is popularity, power and acceptance.

Tele Ikuru is irrelevant in River's State. APC chose Dakuku Peterside. That was not for nothing. The PDP can use Ikuru if they like, he cannot be governorship candidate anymore and Wike has traded all commissioner appointments to defeated governorship aspirants. So Ikuru go back to Engineering and leave politics.

This is of NO consequence. Tele Ikuru became a non member when Dakuku Peterside was chosen as the next governor. Tele Ikuru has been invisible in all campaigns and public events of the APC. No loss to APC in Rivers State.
