Raiders: The problem with south south are the Ijaws. They act like they are the leaders of Niger Deltans. The south south comprises of many ethnic groups like the Urhobos, Edos,Ishekeri, Efik, Ogoni, Delta Igbos, Isokos and many minorities tribes.
The Ijaws has always draw other Niger delta tribes to their war but when its time for benefit they push the other minorities out. The Ijaws were the only one who benefited from the ND struggle and also from the amnesty program. Also GEJ presidency favored the Ijaws more than the other tribes and this was why the Olu of Ishekeri was angry at GEJ some weeks ago. All the federal government contract in the Niger deltans were given to the Ijaws like Tompolo , Orubebe, Edwin Clark and Asari while the other ND tribes got nothing. I hope the new government address the issue of other minorities in the Niger Delta. say what you know please. Ogbakiri boys who r also classified as ikwerre also benefited from d amnesty. Besides y is d Nigerian state finding it difficult to listen to their yearnings? Amnesty isn't our problem, just Tru federalism as its bin practice in advance countries dats wat we want. We r a federal Republic but we ain't practicing Tru federalism. No ijaw son has license to lift oil. But atiku obj ibb danjuma, they all have license. Is it fair? We have been negotiating since d time of ojukwu, Isaac Boro, ken saro but nothing good has Com out. I don't support violence but eye for eye makes two parties learn. |

Sincere9gerian: Story. Where is true federalism in all of that long story? The problem with Nigeria is structural. Restructure the country such that states can harness whatever resources they have to develop their area and people. Most especially, the current regime of clean elections must be maintained and even improved upon. Otherwise, it is same of the same don't mind d fooool. Wat Niger delta nid is Tru federalism as its bin practice in every advanced and prosperous nation |

illiad: HausaFulanis have taken back power, and their sidekick the yorubas are happy. but it all serves nigeria right. ndigbo have shown Jonathan much love by standing by him to the last. if we had got even a quarter of that love from the ijaws and other waterside people during the Biafra war then the whole of our regions would have been liberated from northern backwardness. having said that, I thank ndigbo for proving once more to the south south that in nigeria they've got only one big brother who loved them more than they loved themselves. and I hope that this love will from henceforth be returned from generation to generation I agree with u bro, u people tried for Gej.
