Halima Abubakar who announced on social media after her successful fibroid removal surgery in India has slammed reports that she has cancer.

According to the actress, if she has cancer, she’d have announced it just as she did her fibroid operation. The actress who went bald following drug reactions took to her Instagram to slam the report saying;

In the recently released Forbes List, American Pop singer, Madonna, topped the list of America's richest female musicians in 2017. The 36-year-old artiste, earned a whooping $580 million. Forbes reports that her Rebel Heart tour, which ended in March 2016, grossed $170million.

Second on the list is Celine Dion with $400 million, while Barbra Streisand clinches the third position with $390 million.

Beyonce sits at the 4th spot with $350 million, as her last year’s Lemonade album and the Formation World Tour reportedly grossed a quarter of a billion dollars.

Taylor Swift completes the list of the top 5 with $280 million largely due to the success of her 1989 tour, which smashed North American touring records.

It has been a sad day for family of Chisom Jane Anekwe (nee Okereke) and LEAP Africa Alumni, over the alleged death of their daughter and friend, who died over an alleged questionable circumstances at the Magodo Specialist Hospital in Lagos.

It was gathered that the beautiful mother of two daughters died on April 30th, 2017, while giving birth to her third child, a boy after a prolonged labour. Sadly, the baby also died. According to her family members and friends, Chisom was abandoned and left unattended to deal with labour pains and other pregnancy complication.

Here's what Ahmed Alaga, a member of LEAP Africa wrote about the incident;

"Today we (LEAP Africa Alumni) bury one of our finest member and we can't help but to push out the story of how she died so individuals, families, and our society at large will perhaps take nothing for granted when it comes to women giving birth. Life is sacred and those who treat it with recklessness should be called to order.

So, this is Chisom Anekwe (nee Okereke), a young, vivacious, graceful, kind-hearted and intelligent woman who had devoted her life to helping indigent kids and giving their lives a meaning. She’s an alumna of LEAP Africa.

Two weeks ago, precisely April 30th 2017, Chisom died under questionable circumstances at Magodo Specialist Hospital in Lagos while trying to birth her third offspring. We believe strongly that the authorities need to ensure that lives are taken sacred in hospitals like Magodo Specialist Hospital where such avoidable deaths are recorded.

Chisom was admitted in the hospital four days before she got into labour. She already had two daughters birthed in the same hospital and was there to birth her third child, a son. While at the hospital, no one attended to her when she needed help to be delivered of the long awaited baby. She was left for hours in labour. This happened until her husband created a scene, which eventually caused the doctors to go to her ward and on inspection they found out that the baby had struggled and died.

The husband at this point requested for a CS which he paid for and even signed the consent form presented by the hospital. He was then tricked out of the room to go prepare for blood transfusion and on getting back, he found out that the doctors had induced the wife and delivered the dead baby without operation not minding that the CS procedure had been paid for. This was without his consent.

During the process of delivering the baby, the placenta got ruptured and the doctors left her like that, no further attendance still. Shortly after, the husband noticed she was swelling up in her stomach area and called the attention of the doctors who said they were getting ready for a surgery, a preparation that took longer than usual.
After waiting in vain for the surgical team, the frustrated husband went furiously to the reception to demand why they were wasting time only to discover the doctor had sneaked out of the hospital under funny pretences. At this point he got other hospital staff to wheel her out of the hospital and in that process Chisom died!

This is the story of most young women who die while giving birth as a result of the callousness, ignorance and carelessness of inexperienced doctors. In this era, we shouldn't be talking about Child and Maternal Mortality especially when it can be avoided. This could have been avoided but it wasn't and now Chisom Jane Anekwe is a victim and has been added to the statistics.

We demand;
1. That Magodo Specialist Hospital, Shangisha, Lagos, be investigated for their actions and the subsequent death of Chisom.
2. That both the Nigerian Medical Association NMA and the Medical and Dentist Council of Nigeria, MDCN ensure that supposed Specialist Hospitals who claim to have a resident Gynecologist are verified.
3. That there be justice for Chisom!

Testifying before a coroner, Mr Olusegun Ayilara, in Osogbo, on Monday, The Chief Medical Director, Lautech, Prof Akeem Lasisi, who spoke from the witness box, said the Chief Medical Director of Biket Hospital, Osogbo, Dr Adebisi Adenle, called him on the telephone on April 23 to tell him that Adeleke had died.

He said, “I saw the corpse. Before any process of examination of any diagnosis in medicine, there is what we call history before examination. So, we asked for the person who knew the conditions surrounding the death of the senator.

“So, the family pointed to one of the aides and the aide said he (Adeleke) was active the previous day and he came at midnight and started complaining of leg pain. So, they sent for somebody who came to give him injections."

“I asked clearly the medical status of the person that administered the injections. I asked, ‘Is the person a doctor?’ but he said no. ‘Is he a nurse’?, he said he didn’t know but the person was a face they were used to."

“He mentioned various injections, so at that point I asked him if could lay his hands on the empty ampoules of the injections. The family members went home to get them. The injections were five per cent dextrose. We saw empty sachets; it was like a fluid and with it, we saw an intravenous fluid-giving set and scalp vein needle. We saw that empty. We saw two ampoules of Analgin, four ampoules of valium (diazepam) – 10ml each making 40 milligrammes, one ampoule of pentazocine, one ampoule of gentamicin and two ampoules of hydrocortisone"

"His aide said after he had been given, he (Adeleke) called him that he doesn’t want to entertain any visitor and he went to sleep. The aide said he later went back to check him and saw that the senator’s eyes were wide open but he wasn’t breathing.”

The CMD added that diazepam ‘sedates and tranquilises when given in moderate dosage’ but said it could knock off reflexes if given in the type of dosage Adeleke was given and could eventually lead to death.

"Analgin has been outlawed since the days of Dora Akunyili in NAFDAC".

In an emotional chat with Big Brother Naija 2017 host Ebuka Uchendu on his 'rubbin minds' show on Channels TV, Nollywood actress, Toyi Aimakhu, revealed that she regrets her relationship with filmmaker, Seun Egbegbe, who is currently facing criminal charges of stealing.

She further revealed that she will never date anybody in the film industry again, as she also said she feels she's unlucky when it comes to love.

It has been gathered that a successful doctor in his 60s, pays a 'sugar baby' student £2,500 a month to keep him company, and he has even bought her an entire bar. Self-confessed "sugar baby", Ilham Chocolat, 25, is showered with gifts by her admirer and receives money in exchange for platonic dates.

Ilham is so successful she will now be giving advice on snaring sugar daddies at a special summit in London this month. Regarded as one of the best sugar babies in the business, Ilham, who lives in Bologna, Italy, met her ‘sugar daddy’ – a 60-year-old divorced doctor – when she was just 20.

DailyMail reports that Ilham, who is taking a degree in African studies at
university in Bologna, said that, after meeting him through a friend, it felt natural to keep seeing him – although their relationship has never been sexual.

Meanwhile, her 36-year-old boyfriend of eight months, who she does sleep with, is happy with her ‘job’ as a sugar baby. Although he does not pay to date her, he recently bought her a coveted Tiffany necklace for her 25th birthday.

“I’m not having sex with my sugar daddy,” she said. “He didn’t want anything physical from me. He gives me an allowance of £2,500 a month. He takes me shopping and anything I want he gets me. Whatever I want or need, I can have.

He’s bought me a diamond ring, clothes and taken me to fancy hotels.”

The doctor has also given Ilham a credit card, enabling her to spend whenever she wishes.

But his most extravagant gift, less than a year after meeting, was a bar, which he bought for her in northern Italy – allowing her to fulfil her childhood dream of being a landlady. .

“He enjoys his time with me. He said I made him feel like a small boy and full of energy," she explained. Based in Rome, she sees him bi-monthly and has even introduced him to her family – who approve of her relationship.

He has also helped her launch a charity endeavour, which involves providing washing machines to Africa.
