Ivie Edobor, victim of domestic violence who has been in and out of court and hospital, after she was reportedly brutally attacked by her husband John Edobor and his thugs in Lagos, marked one year of the ugly incident yesterday.

Ivie whose bones were crushed by her husband and is currently on crutches with iron bars inside the legs to aid support, took to Facebook to write an emotional post, while also disclosing that her husband who assaulted her jumped bail and have fled to America with his mistress.

Pastor Tunde Bakare, founder of Latter Rain Assembly and former running mate of President Buhari in the defunct Congress for Progressive Change has blamed the current challenges Nigeria is facing on our choice of an elderly President.

According to Pastor Tunde who has always supported Buhari before now in his Sunday morning sermon titled, ‘The birth pangs of a new Nigeria’, Nigeria needs an energetic leader;

‘If you want to know whether the President (Muhammadu Buhari) is getting better (and) recovering, I said in the course of that message he’s on the sure path to recovery. Give him time. The Nigerian Republic has not seen their president for a while.
Nigeria needs an energetic leader but the circumstances of our polity have brought us to where we are that the same country that the likes of (Yakubu) Godwin ruled at the age of 30 is now considering people in their 60s and 70s to administer it.’

He further said;

“What happened in France recently is a clear sign that there is going to be a change of guards almost worldwide. But let’s accept our own thing and resolve our issues with wisdom.
(Between) the man in the intensive care unit and the doctor treating him or wishing him dead, you don’t know who will die first. If God sent Isaiah back to go and tell Hezekiah that He was adding 15 years to his life, He is the only one who can do what He wills to do.
Nobody should wish another person dead. We should just pray, because you would put Nigeria in disaster.”

It has been revealed that Joy Odama, the 200 level student of the Cross River State University of Science and Technology, who died mysteriously after she went to visit a certain Alhaji Usman Adamu, in Abuja last December died of cocaine poison.

The autopsy report released by the National Hospital, Abuja, revealed that Joy died of acute cocaine poison, and also suffered cardiogenic shock secondary to diffusion before she died.

The report reads in part:
“The cause of death was traced to cardiogenic shock secondary to diffusion, myocardial infaration secondary to possible acute cocaine poison.”

This is coming after the presidency, the Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, IGP, DSS and other top security agencies, were petitioned by the mother of the deceased, Philomena Odama, over the death of her daughter, who revealed that the suspect had invited her daughter alongside other young girls to his house and promised to sponsor their education.

Vanguard reports that Joy died in his custody and the suspect allegedly connived with the police, to embalm her without her parents consent. The police allegedly told them to hands off the case and collect N300, 000 the suspect was offering them, saying they can not get justice as he is well connected in the society.

Talk about weird happenings, and this is just one of it. A viral video has revealed that a man was compelled with charm to eat grass, after he was reportedly caught sleeping with another man’s wife.

Facebook user, Neel Akber, who shared the story and video on the social media platform alleged that the victim who was caught having sex with another man’s wife, was bewitched by the woman’s husband. As punishment for the act, he was forced to eat grass.

A Nigerian couple’s pre-wedding pose photos have sparked controversy on social media, as some social media users are asking if that’s all they’re bringing to their marriage.

The couple seen in a happy mood, were posing in the middle of the road with the man standing at the woman’s back while she bent her body.
“Though all these pre-wedding pictures are hilarious, they nonetheless are somewhat distasteful ( I am not judging o). Why would someone grab boobs, form doggy style, pose in a Mouth Gig position etc. as pre-wedding shot? It is as if all they would be doing after marriage is having sex. I wonder where we missed it o! No wonder infidelity and divorce rates are astronomical. I wish the couple God’s very best,” someone noted.

A fire that razed properties along SDP Road in Bonny LGA of Rivers State early this morning, has left two children, age 10 and 14 dead.
Present at the scene to confirm the incident was CTC Chairman of the LGA, Hon. Sim Emmanuel Hart, accompanied by his Secretary Lady Helen Jack-Wilson Pepple, Supervisors and Advisers of Council.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire started in the early hours of today with an uncontrollable speed and force. The source of fire is yet to be known.

Earlier today, Nollywood actress, Stephanie Okereke-Linus was accused of copyright Infringement of her movie ‘DRY’. According to the report, an associate of the actress made a copy of Daniella Madudu’s book to give to Stephanie which she used as a script for the movie.

The associate, Joy Ndidi has now released a statement to deny the report.


“I JOY NDIDI hereby refute Daniella Madudu’s claim that I copied her book to give to Stephanie Linus- idahosa. Miss Madudu claims that I was one of her editors in 2011; This is a malicious lie as I have never read her book. I met Miss Madudu in 2014 in a friend’s dorm on a visit to Obafemi Awolowo University.


I was introduced to her by a friend. I have always been a diehard fan of Stephanie Linus and I found out about her blog, www.stephaniedaily.com in August 2012 where she posted a picture from the scene of dry. I had a friend who worked at Genevieve magazine early 2013 who gave me one of his old phones, I had a problem with my phone at the time. I saw Stephanie Linus number saved on the phone.
I called the phone number but I couldn’t get through. I finally got across to her in May 2013, after I sent her series of my articles. I became her blogging assistant in June, 2013. After which she had already shot the first part of the Movie ‘Dry’ (Nigerian scenes) as she showed me a teaser trailer on a visit to her house as her office was in her house.

In July 2013, Stephanie released her teaser trailer in support of the “Child not bride campaign” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dry_(film ), a month after I started working with her and she shot the remaining part of the movie same year. I met Daniella Madudu in February 2014, a year later. I was never Daniella’s friend not until that year. I also have cause to believe Daniella is doing this in order to exploit Stephanie Linus as I heard from a mutual friend that she is trying to release the book behind the veil and she wants to use Stephanie for cheap publicity.
Stephanie already shot her movie before she hired me or ever met me at all and even released a teaser trailer before I met Daniella at all. So, her claims make absolutely no sense as facts don’t lie.”

Nigerian football star, Victor Moses who had a successful season at his club Chelsea FC, reportedly got married to his longtime partner in London today.

In a story shared by Facebook user, Chika David, it has been gathered that a 17-year-old daughter of a fish seller in Port Harcourt is reportedly pregnant for a 25-year-old man.

Here's how Chika narrated the incident;

'SAVE A CHILD'S LIFE.

I know I don't usually do this but this case is very important to me because it involves life. I came back home from workout and met my mum with our fresh fish customer crying I panicked and asked them what happened and my mum told me that the lady's daughter is pregnant. Hmmmm. I gave the lady some time to put herself together and asked her what happened.

She said her 17 year old daughter is pregnant for a man of about 25 years old she got angry and sent the girl out of her house because she's poor and has nothing and no one to help her , in her words " the day i no sell fish we no dey see food chop even the man wey give her belle sef one day him no even bring groundnut make she chop, naim make me pursue her for house I no fit take care of her and the pickin, na just this morning somebody bring her come house dey beg me I no know wetin I go do" I asked her if she has registered the girl for antenatal and her response was " we no get money to chop talk of to go hospital".

I want to appeal to my friends to please help this little girl. Yes she has made a mistake but let us not watch her die in the process. The mum said the mam responsible for the pregnancy admitted he got her pregnant but he has nothing doing. Violet is 5 months pregnant she needs medical attention. Her mum's phone is bad but she promised to bring a number for me to reach her I will post the number here when she brings it to me so you guys can reach out to them.
