WHO ARE THEY DECEIVING?
The Federal Government of Nigeria has already spent US$300 million dollars of NIGERIAN MONEY (not northern states' money) prospecting for oil in the north.
THEY ARE DEFINITELY UP TO SOMETHING, WORKING TOWARD A HIDDEN AGENDA; AND, MAKING A FRUITLESS ATTEMPT TO PULL WOOL OVER OUR EYES, JUST POSITIONING THEMSELVES WITH THIS GAMBIT SO THEY CAN CLAIM NORTHERN OWNERSHIP OF THE OIL FIND, THAT RIGHTLY BELONGS TO ALL NIGERIANS, WHEN SUCH IS FOUND IN THE NORTH TOMORROW!

Who still takes Osama, sorry Obama, serious again except maybe some of you guys in Nigeria.
Not even fellow Americans take him serious any more!
For crying out loud, that guy is Nigeriaphobic: he easily praises bad Nigerian leaders whose policies destroy the country and worsen quality of life of ordinary Nigerians; but relentlessy criticises and undermines patriotic Nigerian leaders with vision to uplift the quality of life of ordinary Nigerians and make Nigeria a modern economic giant!
For a realistic assessment of Buhari, ask IMF (latest report included below):

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Thursday that it has again cut its growth forecast for Nigeria as the oil exporter faces "substantial challenges" from low crude prices.

In its annual review of Nigeria's economic situation, the IMF said that gross domestic product growth would slow to 2.3 percent in 2016 from an estimated 2.7 percent in 2015. In February, after IMF officials visited the country, the Fund had forecast 3.2 percent growth for Nigeria in 2016.

"Key risks to the outlook include lower oil prices, shortfalls in non-oil revenues, a further deterioration in finances of state and local Governments, deepening disruptions in private sector activity due to constraints on access to foreign exchange, and resurgence in security concerns," the IMF said in a statement.

It added that Nigeria's general government deficit would grow further after doubling to 3.7 percent of GDP in 2015.

The IMF executive board said Nigeria needed to urgently implement policies to safeguard fiscal sustainability, reduce external imbalances and advance structural reforms that promote more inclusive growth.

"Directors emphasized the critical need to raise non-oil revenues to ensure fiscal sustainability while maintaining infrastructure and social spending," the IMF said. "They urged a gradual increase in the VAT rate, further improvements in revenue administration, and a broadening of the tax base."

Discussions between Nigeria and the World Bank are continuing on a possible loan or credit facility that is tied to policy reforms in the West African oil exporter, a spokesman for the Washington-based multilateral lender said on Thursday.

Crime / Re: Why We Attacked Agatu – Fulani Herdsmen by AdorableBelle(f): 3:09pm On Mar 07, 2016
sinistermind:
A clearer picture of why Fulani herdsmen invaded Agatu local government area of Benue state emerged, Friday, at a stakeholders meeting organised by the Inspector General Of Police, IGP, Solomon Arase, when the leader of the herdsmen in the besieged community, Ardo Boderi, claimed that over 10,000 cattle were allegedly killed by people of the area.

The meeting held in Makurdi, the Benue state capital, had in attendance top Benue State government functionaries, chiefs and stakeholders from Agatu and Fulani leaders in both Benue and Nasarawa state and  was presided over by the IGP.

Ado Boderi, who spoke on behalf of the Fulani community insisted that the act sparked off the crisis but decried the role being played by criminal elements from both sides which he claimed escalated the crisis. On his part, Akpa Iduh who spoke on behalf of the Agatu people, said the Fulani were bent on taking over Agatu land hence their resort to recruiting mercenaries to wipe out his people. He lamented that the crisis had escalated to a war situation where women, children and the elderly were killed indiscriminately by the invaders and urged the authorities to stop the carnage in Agatu land.

THE Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, has said that the war against Boko Haram in the North-East has been won and urged his men to sustain the victory.
Buratai promised that the Nigerian Army would remain vigilant and ready to contend with new strategies that might be adopted by the terrorist group.
The army chief made this remark on Saturday while laying the foundation stone for the new Brigade headquarters complex at the 2 Brigade in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Describing the current military operations in the North-East as critical, Buratai commended the soldiers for their commitment towards the onslaught against terrorists.
He said, “The North-East operation is critical at this stage. The terrorists have been defeated. These criminals may rear their ugly heads through other means. We will continue to maintain vigilance.
Buratai explained that the Federal Government would not relent in giving special attention to the welfare of military personnel.
Expressing satisfaction in the commitment to duty the 2 Brigade personnel, he pointed out that the Nigerian army had always been celebrated globally for its high level of professionalism and discipline.
The army chief urged soldiers to continue to maintain the high level of discipline they were known for, even as he commended the brigade for its effort in fighting oil theft in the Niger Delta region.
Promising that government will give attention to the medical needs of military personnel, Buratai added that the Nigerian Army would not fail to tackle the problem of accommodation in all the barracks across the country.
Apart from inspecting an ongoing five-bedroom block project embarked upon by his office, Buratai also spoke with wives of soldiers in the barracks and pledged Federal Government’s commitment towards improving their welfare.

Politics / Re: Fulani Herdsmen Raping, Killing Our People – Enugu Women by AdorableBelle(f): 10:20pm On Oct 20, 2015
oluwaSmith1:
Enugu women on Tuesday called on the State government to send Fulani herdsmen packing from the State.

The angry women, who stormed the State House of Assembly in their number, said the herdsmen were engaging in serial rape of women.

They carried placards, which read: “Fulani herdsmen are killing our men with AK 47′; ‘All we are saying is, Fulani, leave our farmlands’ ‘They butchered two men at Eke’ ‘Stop robbing us at the high ways’ ‘Stop raping our women.”

They alleged that apart from molesting and raping women, the herdsmen were equally destroying their farms.

Leader of the group, Mrs Achogaonye Eze, who spoke on behalf of the protesting women, said unless the herdsmen were stopped, their lives would be in grave danger because the herdsmen were always armed with sophisticated weapons.

Eze, who is the wife of Bishop Sostenas Eze of the Enugu North Anglican Diocese, pointed out that apart from raping women and killing people in the communities, the herdsmen also engaged in robbery and kidnapping.

She lamented that they were helpless because they had complained to the law enforcement agencies to no avail.

She disclosed that people were now afraid to go to farm unless they were in groups for fear of rape or outright killing.

According to her, “They have butchered two men who tried to confront them, they rape women and destroy their crops.

“They pretend to be selling bush meat and when you stop over to buy, their gang will come out of the bush and rob you of your belongings.

“They are now wielding AK 47 guns against villagers who confront them; and since the vigilante do not have such sophisticated weapons, they are helpless.”

She added that, “our people are molested, who now behave as if they own the land. If we don’t stop them, they may rape your own wives.”

Addressing the women, speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon.Edward Ubosi, represented by the Public Relations Officer of the House, Mr. Jonas Ugwuanyi advised them to eschew violence in demonstrating their anger.

“The issue is a grievous one but I want to advise you to take things easy and channel your complaints to the law enforcement agencies,” he advised.

He, however, said that the House would look into their grievances with a view to doing something to alleviate their plight.

Politics / Re: Buhari's Ministers Are Practical, Energetic And Of Good Reputation~The Economist by AdorableBelle(f): 11:47am On Oct 15, 2015
NgeneUkwenu:
MUHAMMADU BUHARI has earned the nickname “Baba Go Slow” from fellow Nigerians, for he has taken his time out of the blocks.

The former military ruler, who won elections in March after promising to root out corruption, has governed alone ever since taking office in May. He said he would appoint a cabinet by the end of September. Yet as the deadline passed he had named only one minister, for oil. And he did not have to look far to find the candidate—he picked himself. This week, at last, Nigerians were given his nominees, but not their positions in his cabinet.

Finding a clean team in one of the most corrupt nations on earth is not easy, but Mr Buhari has tried. His choices are practical, energetic and of (mostly) good reputation. They include Babatunde Fashola, an ex-lawyer known for sprucing up Lagos, one of Africa’s most unruly cities, and Kayode Fayemi, the radical former head of Ekiti state.

Few of the other candidates are household names, but given the track record of the politicians who ruled for the past 16 years that is no bad thing.

Nigerians do not mind having waited. In the time they have been twiddling their thumbs, they have noted a “Buhari effect” whereby the nation has been terrified into better order. Power supplies have improved, leaving them in darkness less often. Oil refineries are working better too. Frayed diplomatic relations are being restored and stolen money is being hunted down.

Days before the nominees were announced, the former oil minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, was arrested in London with £27,000 in cash. She denies charges of money laundering, yet oil theft increased under her watch. For many Nigerians, her extravagant displays of jewellery and chartering of private jets epitomised all that was wrong with the old cadre of politicians.

After four months alone at the helm, Mr
Buhari is yet to spell out policies for the economy and oil industry. The Senate must screen the president’s selections and further choices must be made. Mr Buhari named only 21 candidates of a total of 36. He promises the rest soon. True to form, he is in no rush.

'Babatunde Fashola, an ex-lawyer.' Seriously? But The Economist should stop this shamefully biased and partisan journalism already. In one breath disparaging Nigeria, and in the next extolling Buhari and his nominees. It's patronising!

Kogi Guber: Audu will return the N11bn he stole if elected - APC Chairman

Kogi State APC Chairman, Alhaji Hadi Ametuo, has assured Kogi people that his party’s candidate in the forthcoming governorship poll, Prince Audu Abubakar, would return the over N11 billion he allegedly stole while in office.

Audu is being prosecuted by the anti-graft agency, EFCC, for misappropriating N11 billion of the states’s funds while he was governor between 1999 and 2003.

Responding to the questions from the media regarding Audu’s 11billion naira EFCC case, he said “Nobody is a saint. No governor can claim he has not done any malpractice or stolen anything during his time in the office.

“We heard of Saraki’s case, even Tinubu is being accused of stealing funds but the truth is that Prince Abubakar Audu has pledged to return the money to the Kogi treasury when he gets elected on the November 21st, yes he will return the 11billion naira or even more than that and that will add to the Kogi economy”.

Ametuo, who rated Audu’s first term in the office more than the current government of Capt. Idris Wada, added that Audu deserved the electoral votes of the Kogi people due to his experience and achievements in his first time at the Lugard House.

We attended the just concluded 2015 IYF(International Youth Fellowship) World Youth Camp in University of Ghana, Legon Ghana from 31st of July - 4th August, and because we arrived late at night we were given temporary accommodations for that night pending registration the next day. However, they took us to Elizabeth Francis Hall(hostel) where we were given a room.

At first, i thought it was the usual Nigerian public Universities but we got the ultimate surprises of our life, behold the rooms we were given was well painted with white paint i repeat sparkling spotless white paint, two bunk beds with school made foams, four tables and chairs obviously for four students, well designed wardrobe for each students, a toilet and bathroom with water running through the taps, a ceiling fan, tiled floors, fire alarm, private balcony to spread your clothes e.t.c almost or equivalent to what i saw in one Busan University in South Korea when i attended 2014 IYF World Youth Camp in Busan.

Chai!! I don die, see Ghana Ghana wey no get oyel pass us, come get pass better university pass us.

In fact, holistically we stand a better chance than Ghana but how they come get better facilities pass us. Ghanians i beg make una understand. no offense.

No wonder foreigner students full the University.

The next day we register and were given rooms in ISHI(International Students Hostel), the setting is different from the previous hostel. It has two beds with the school made foams, two designed wardrobes, two tables and chairs, a ceiling fan, fire alarm, balcony to relax and spread clothes, well tiled floors e.t.c. the bathroom and toilet are not in the rooms this time around but they are very clean with running water. They have kitchens with refrigerators and one other room.

Let me cut the story short. University of Ghana is far far far.....better than all ........... terms of beauty, maintenance culture, facilities e.t.c

I was told that the school is autonomous, and that they always renovates all the structures and facilities at the end of every session.

see the pictures for yourself.

The buck stops here, one former American president said. Every human being has the capacity to rise anove a traumatic experience and indeed use such expetience for good. Leadership reports that Ibrahim Mu’azu, director, corporate communications, CBN, confirmed that the deadline for registration is tomorrow, Tuesday, June 30, 2015.

He explained further that bank customers were given adequate time and that the bank expected they should have taken advantage of the period scheduled for the exercise to register.

Contrary to the speculation that customers who do not have BVN will be prevented from making transactions, such as payments and withdrawals, Mu’azu said only customers using remote access services: internet banking,Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and other on-line services would not be able to transact.

He also confirmed that over 14 million bank customers have already registered.

For Nigerians in diaspora to participate in the exercise, CBN has also directed banks to provide online platforms for those who have local accounts to register.

For a country with 76 million bank account holders, out of a population of about 180 million, shouldn't the CBN be encouraging more people to open accounts rather than routinely dissuading those that have them by rote measures such as cast-in-stone this June 30 deadline?

Romance / Re: TEN Types Of Men Who Will Cheat On You No Matter What [must Read For Ladies] by AdorableBelle(f): 12:40pm On Jun 08, 2015

We have had Mamalettes whose husbands travel a lot
or work in the offshore business complain about
their terrible cheating habits. The truth is that men
are more likely than women to have extra-marital
relationships. Traveling regularly, meeting new
people, sleeping in nice hotels provide a perfect
opportunity for these s3xual escapades to happen.

The man that loves to control you or likes to know
where you are without giving out his own info is
most likely hiding something from you. This type of
Oga is just trying to make sure where you are so you
don’t bump into him with someone else. But he is
never going to tell you where he is.

Like they say, birds of the same ….,
you know what we mean. If your Ogas friends are
fond of carrying girlfriends and sleeping with women
who are not their wives, it won’t be long for your Oga
to be indoctrinated. That is if he is not already like
them o.

A significant number of affairs begin as close
friendships with members of the opposite s ex. The
relationship may be platonic at the beginning, but
chances are, it won’t stay that way. Also multiple
researches state that married men often cheat with
women who are younger than their wives. So if your
husband’s friend list has a whole bunch of young and
fun girls be wary.

Any married Oga who hides that he his married or
has a Mamalette and Babylettes at home, may be
playing away. His facebook status is single and if a girl
flirts with him, she is doing so because she isn’t
aware he is taken.

Social media can definitely wreak havoc on your
relationship and nowadays with so much free sex
around, married men meet willing women on social
networks like Facebook, Whatapp, Badoo etc.

A man who is easily bored, or who leads a dull,
routine life may cheat on his spouse just to
alleviate his boredom or add some excitement to
his life.

Men who are substance abusers are much more
likely to end up cheating on their mates. Alcoholics
are susceptible to infidelity because their
inhibitions will be lowered and their judgment
impaired. Either type of man is likely to cheat
without realizing what he’s doing.

Some men are se x addicts. This is a medical
condition that requires professional medical help.
If Oga has a s3x drive greater than his wife or if
Madame is lacking in bedroom skills, he’s much
more likely to cheat on her. He’ll find another
woman to make up for his wife’s deficiency.

That old saying Once a cheater, always a cheater
will apply if Oga cheated in the past and didnt
suffer any negative consequences as a result of his
infidelity. If he cheated before and didn’t get
caught, he’s more likely to cheat again. The same
applies if he cheated and Madame readily forgave
him without holding him accountable for his
infidelity.

These days it's men castigating fellow men on behalf of women, or starting threads to demonise fellow men. Rarely do women return the favors. Why, Men(or OP,in this instance)? Trying to ingratiate yourself with sisters?
