Usher Raymond has changed the title of his next album from Flawed to Hard II Love, this is the third time he will be changing the album title as it was formally called UR.

“I find the inspiration every time I find a word,” Usher said in an interview earlier this year after he changed the album name to Flawed. “What is ‘flawed?’ It’s something that is not perfect. It’s a future relic of some sort, to grow and blossom and gain texture. But it is those things, those tumultuous occurrences and things that happen in your life that define what it is…Now I can’t tell you yet at the end what it’s gonna be, but right now it’s Flawed.”

Apparently, Usher’s eight studio album will also be iTunes official which will feature his previously released songs, “Crash”, “No Limit” ft. Young Thug and 13 more tracks.

The album will be released on September 16.

Apparently, the $72 t-shirts sold at Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo pop-up stores are actually worth $2, damn.

His fans last week waited for long hours on queue to buy the exclusive pieces of Kanye’s limited edition merchandise. As it turns out, on closer look, the labels inside the $92 tops revealed they were printed on Gildan ultra cotton T-shirts, which the newspaper discovered retail for less than $2.50 online. A fan visibly annoyed told The Sun newspaper that he had been duped.

“I queued up for hours to get in to Kanye’s shop and I was so excited to get one of the limited edition London T-shirts,” the customer moaned. “However, I’m not so excited about my purchase now I know it’s basically a cheap T-shirt with a print. I’m gutted, to be honest.”

Similarly fans in the US also registered their annoyance over the disturbing situation;

Frank Ocean just released a 45-minute long visual album titled Endless. A representative from Apple Music told Pitchfork “keep an eye out this weekend for more from Frank”.

The visual album is currently available to stream and it's not like a regular album with individual tracks.

It was gathered by Rolling Stone that Endless is quite a separate project from Ocean’s highly anticipated third album, which will be released this weekend via Apple Music. The singer has allegedly scrapped the title Boys Don’t Cry for a new one.

On August 14, the world heard of the passing away of Christian Hip Hop pioneer and Grammy award winning producer, Nelson Chu known as DJ Official after undergoing a double lung transplant.

In 2010, it was discovered that Chu had a rare form of bone marrow cancer that was attacking his kidneys.

He underwent a double lung transplant on July 30 and was in critical condition following the surgery.

He leaves behind Teresa, his wife and two daughters. May he rest in peace.

Tiwa, through a quote on her profile, revealed how her estranged husband, Teebillz, played a major role in creating the Tiwa Brand we all love today. According to the singer, Teebillz, made her dump her songwriting career abroad to kick-start a very successful music career in Nigeria.

"I met Tunji and he told me about the growing Afrobeats scene back home in Nigeria. He thought I was wasting my talents being a songwriter and a backing singer and pushed me to move back to Africa. Dennis Graham the father of Aubrey Graham better known as Drake is set to drop an R&B album.

The 60-year-old who has previously announced that he’s working on launching a musical career released a snippet from his debut music video. The song will appear on his debut album, Kinda Crazy.

The album will be a collaboration between Dennis Graham and Jamie Lovine – producer, CRO of Meltdown Comics.

According to TMZ, Graham is still working tirelessly for the album to be successful and will release a full track later this month.

These are happy times for rapper Kanye West has he charts his fortieth top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. According to Billboard, this feat was achieved by West after his collaboration with Schoolboy Q on ‘THat Part’.

Hitting 40 top 40 hits means Kanye West has surpassed Michael Jackson and Frankie Valli, both of whom charted 39 each in their careers.

Kanye West is now ranked 10th in the list of chart toppers with Elvis Presley holding on with 80 hits.

It came as no surprise when Bow Wow officially made it known he’s retiring from the rap game as the 29 year old had once admitted in May that he always hated rapping.

Morihanfen Oluwaseun Oluwabamidele known as Sean Tizzle has opened up in an interview about his rumoured relationship with Dj Cuppy, the daughter of billionaire tycoon Femi Otedola.

In an interview with The Nation, the artist who was formally signed to Sound Sultan’s record label Naija Ninjas shed light on all that transpired last August, when he put up Dj Cuppy’s photo with a caption that implied that they were in a relationship.

“God bless my Cupcake Ifeoluwa aka Cuppy,” he wrote then, adding, “Like Jay Z and Beyonce, it’s just me and my future Abiamo. #Kisses.”

“No, we were not dating,” he told the media. “She’s just my friend and we are cool like that. People just took it wrong, although I like her for so many things.”
And when asked if he had a crush on her, he said candidly, “Yes, I was. I told her before but she was in school then and she was trying to focus on her education.

Patois artist, Patoranking, has revealed the reason behind the delay of his debut album. According to the singer, the delay was due to some doubts he had about himself and his sound.

At a Press conference organized by his PR team, Patoranking opened up for the first time about the making of his debut, creative process and the guiding influence tapped into.

He, also revealed that after the release of ‘Girlie Oh’, back in 2015, he already an a finished album but decided against dropping it due to some doubt he had.

"One of the reasons why the album was delayed was: we could have dropped an album after ‘Girlie Oh’, but I just felt that I needed the acquaintance, that I wasn’t acquainted to the people. I felt that I wasn’t felt all over the country. Down South, down North, they didn’t know me. I needed to get closer to the people, and that was why I had to delay the album for a while, and we kept up dropping singles.”

He further revealed:

"I want a four year old to be able to sing Patoranking’s music. At the end of the day, I want to make music, irrespective of the genre, irrespective of how it is being done. I just want to get it done, and get it delivered.

I want to see a 2-year kid singing my song. On the track 1 of the song I went really hard, just to let people understand that my name is Patoranking, and dancehall is all I do. You have some pidgin tracks as well for my people in Ajegunle. I try to carry everybody along.

On creativity/influence for the project, he said:

"I’m somebody that my music depicts my lifestyle, everything that has to be about my upbringing and how I rose to fame. Patoranking generally, the life and times of Patoranking. I got to figure out that a lot of people want to be famous, a lot of people of people want to to be known for different things, for wearing the best designers. Others for having a lot of properties. But you know not everybody knows that despite everything you have, it’s still vanity, it’s still God over everything.

The album is about love, about God, and it’s about where I come from, and where I’m headed to. Inasmuch as you are trying to dance, just always remember that it is still God over everything. No matter what you possess, no matter what you do in life, it should be a thought that has to go with your day to day activity. No matter the amount of money I have on earth, it is still God. That’s why we chose the title “God Over Everything”.

There is little doubt that rapper Rick Ross is looking a lot slimmer than when he first gained recognition.

What forced him on the journey to become healthy was the two seizures within six hours he had in 2011 which required his private jet to make emergency landings. He was weighing 300lbs at that time only sleeping for 3 hours a night and having no qualms wolfing down 24-oz steaks at 4AM.

The rapper has shed 75 pounds after his doctors warned him his excess fat could kill him if he does not take on a healthier lifestyle which includes a workout regimen.

“I’m still losing weight, and now I’m starting to build hard muscle in places,” he tells Men’s Health magazine, explaining he has been taking his weightloss slowly—if I quit all the things I loved cold turkey, I knew it would only be so long before I went back to my old ways.”

The Young Money rapper is set to take a dive into the tech world with the release of a new mobile game app named Nicki Minaj: The Empire.

Insiders stated that the rapper is collaborating with the mobile gaming giant Glu Mobile to kick start the project, and it was further confirmed that the game will be about players taking up virtual stages, creating lyrics videos and songs and customizing their cribs to host parties.

While the players are making progression, they will be able to guide their created musician to make appearances with an animated Nicki.

According to Billboard, Everybody Looking is Gucci Mane’s first album to ever climb to the top spot on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums Chart which sold a total of 43,000 copies in its first release.
