The network is available in Abuja however, I don't think it works with 3G phones.

Ok, thanks

England deliberately lost to Belgium so that they ll have easier route to the final from quarter final. Nice strategy to avoid the likes of Brazil. I hope it backfires by the time Colombia deal with them

Lool, it'll be poetic.

Sports / Re: Should VAR And Goal Line Technology Be Introduced Into The Nigerian League? by AdorableJosh(m): 8:15am On Jun 30, 2018
While this is a great idea, after all who doesn't love good things? But let's be realistic with our expectations, we still have a long way to go before even talking about VAR, lets start with renovating most of our dilapidated stadium first.

There is no other way. Both methods are very fair.

Senegal were unfortunate to miss out.

African teams didn't fair very bad. We just lack the concentration to go all the way.

Senegal was the best among the qualified African teams which makes it more unfortunate that they had to go out like that, but going out on the number of yellow cards received is a hard pill to swallow. I sha hope African football would have improved before 2022 although I doubt it.

To me the most embarrassing world cup match is the Disgrace of Gijon btw West Germany & Austria. Anyway something needs to be done about getting out of a world cup competition by fair play, head to head maybe? I don't know. Also there's basically no difference btwn what the Japanese did and the England show of shame vs Belgium, they literally turned the match to a friendly all in a bid to come out second so as to have an easier route to the semis.

Fact is sickle traits is very common with our people, you do not have to agree with me . All other races have their own and life goes on. Two people dating who have the sickle cell trait does not necessary guarantee they will have a child with SS.

So they should just go ahead and possibly marry and leave it to luck bearing in mind that there's a 25% chance at every birth of having a child with an incurable disease?

Triple X is a very famous rapper, just say you don't know him.

Not very famous, he was a C list at best - that's me being generous, he became fairly famous mostly because of his violent acts and misogeny-filled lyrics. He was talented nonetheless.

Yeah, the play is currently showing in a theatre in London with great reviews.

I don't think people understand the severity of this criminality, some person was collecting salaries meant for 300 people, a whole 300! This guy deserves to be shot. Also, why was his name withheld? That's how hanky-panky will start and the matter will die a natural death, this country is finished.

TSOM:

Apart from Chimamanda and El Nathan, are there even present day celebrated Nigerian novelists whose books are really thrilling and worth it? Not the usual romance novels or juju tales, some with predictable storylines, that is.

Maybe I haven't searched well enough but I can't really pick out any. Have you read any?

In addition to Calliope's suggestions, you can also check:
Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani -I Do Not Come to You By Chance
Chinelo Okparanta - Under The Udala Tree
Helen Oyeyemi - Boy, Snow, Bird
Yaa Gyasi - Homegoing (she's Ghanaian-American though)

I love this topic because just yesterday I was thinking about the same thing, I got to Botswana and in just 6month am worth more than $54,000 at least for a very broke boy from the street of Lagos, hustle to hustle carry me enter, I beg my fellow Nigerians to leave and try move into these coded countries, that's what I call them and see how big Nigerians are living and enjoying life on a low key, Many of them calculate in dollars. One yahoo boy #5m hit is my own bills in a month outside, u see say things are not the same at all.

That's my dream African country, hopefully will be there one day, I need to leave this country sad

Sports / Re: Which Of These Is The Best Ever English Premier League Team? by AdorableJosh(m): 12:58pm On May 17, 2018
The best team in my opinion is Man Utd 1998/1999 season and all those other teams do not come close, admittedly it might be my bias but by God, none of those could beat the treble winning season. Not to undermine the achievements of others especially the Invincibles but winning those 3 trophies was no mean feat and Man Utd still remain the only English team to do it.
