Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Exams Officer At British Council Or Assistant Registrar At WAEC? Informed Advice by Adortem: 8:51pm On Oct 12, 2016 |
GraceAndFavour: Please I need the advice of informed, experienced and intelligent people on this forum.
I have two job offers before me and I must make a choice between them immediately. Below is little information about the two positions.
1. EXAMINATIONS OFFICER AT BRITISH COUNCIL This is a graduate position at the starter level of Pay Band 4 with a monthly net pay a little above N200k. The following are my points of attraction to this position: (a) The organization has a world-class reputation (b) The working environment is world-class and very ICT complaint. (c) Location advantage. (d) 13th and 14th month salaries with good pension plan. (e) Probation period is 3 months.
Despite the above, I have some reservations which includes that the position is a junior staff position and it is an indefinite contract.
2. ASSISTANT REGISTRAR AT WAEC This is an experienced and international position at grade level 9. The monthly net pay may be less than that of British Council above. My attractions to this position are: (a) The reputation of the organization. (b) The position is international and senior. (c) The job security and the fact that it is permanent/full-time. (d) Sure of growth and future.
But despite the above too, my reservations include that the pay may be less than that of BC and that it may not come with as much exposure as the BC.
Please, advise me on which to go for and why. Oh God! This is the kind of confusion I want this year in Jesus name! To your question,it is very straight forward, the British council job is a contract job, which means you are employed for a few years, although the pay is huge but I would not advise you to take it. WAEC job is a West Africa job,pay is very okay, and they earn extra allowances during exam coordination periods, job security is assured. WAEC does it! Don't be swayed with the huge pay of British council and note that opportunities comes but once. Take WAEC job o,don't go and take a contract job that in no time your services would no longer be needed. God has favoured you. |

The PSC can never make public the Aptitude test result, they would rather release a new list of names for the next stage because a lot of things would be considered in a recruitment like this;Federal character and Politics inclusive,so if you are expecting to see your Aptitude test score/result,forget it,it wouldn't happen! |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: N-Power Assessment Details: Starts 20th September by Adortem: 5:06pm On Sep 21, 2016 |
EazyMoh: Lol nothing like that. I took the test it was very cheap 20 objective questions in 20 minutes, you only get one attempt. Like 5 Maths, 5 English, 3 current affairs, 3 personal questions (they asked me class of degree and whether I know any programming language) and other 4 random questions. I used a computer so screen grab would waste my time and I didn't wanna risk it because you have to submit within that 20 minutes. Though I finished in 8 minutes, but didn't wanna risk network error so I submitted. All in all even a secondary school student can answer the questions they are very very cheap. So don't worry about their difficulty. I will try write the questions I remember. All the best. Hello, please,I was scheduled for tomorrow(thur)my surname starts with Ad,however no sms or email invite, can I still go ahead with the assessment test without it? |

uncolonized106: I just came out from the NAF base kaduna. Medical screening is going on in a credible manner and just as they said comprehensive, it is really comprehensive. An airforce officer who is part of the screening authoritatively told me 21 DA's have taken to their heels coz of the rigorous training. When I asked him about that of the detective superintendent cadre, he told me it will not be handled by dem but by the Nigerian Defence Academy and this will be sometime before the end of this month. All d best dudes. Can you please summarize the type of tests you were put through? |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigerian Army Dssc & Ssc 2015 Aspirants by Adortem: 11:03pm On Sep 18, 2016 |
collins777: The issue is not about when training shall commence but it is about when will they shortlist the names? No matter the time for commencement of training, once your name is on the list, you know that you are going. In any issue that has to do with the release of result, the earlier results are released after examination, the more the credibility of the released result because when you delay, you give room for people to influence the outcome of the process. What would be,would be. Calm down. |
