Travel › South African Visa Delay by aekmanweb(op): 11:50am On Jul 30, 2016 |
Hi everyone, I would like to ask why Visa application at the South African high commission is being delayed. I happened to apply for a visit visa to the republic but it's been 10 working days now, my other friends that applied got their visas in less than 7 working days. I tracked the status via vfs, the response I got was: visa application received, application is under assessment. Please, if anyone knows what steps to take to confirm the actual status of the application aside vfs tracking, kindly share with me because I would need my passport for visa interview in couple of days at another embassy. |

Good day VO,
I have few questions to ask as regards to Immigrant Visa to the United States by a sibling/family member. My sibling in the States has a Permamnet Resident status for over 4yrs now, presently she's on the process of getting her U.S citizenship and she's willing to file immigrant visa for one or two of the family member.
I have checked through all the necessary documents to be filed by her but my questions are:
1- Can she apply for the family member now with her present status as Permanent Resident ?
2- How long does the process takes over there to be completed ?
Thank you in advance for the response. |

bigfrancis21: Computer-based GRE result comes out immediately you hit the submit button after taking the test. The paper-based GRE result comes out 3 weeks after taking the test.
I'll suggest that you calm down and stop showing off unnecessarily your desperation. The VOs are quick to detect desperation in one's eyes and deny you because of it. Moreover, coming to US DOES NOT end your 'sufferings'. Know this today, US is not paradise and do not expect to come here and start picking dollars off the street or expect that once you come here all your sufferings in this life will end. Life for migrants here can be tough and only the extremely hardworking, not just average hardworkers, and greatly perseverant survive here. US isn't for a lazy man. Be prepared to work extra hard when you come here. U ar right bigfrancis, bills incured must be paid within speculated period, no carry-over of bills like Naija.....lol. How far abt your guy in dat sch, have u confirmed the procedures frm him? Thnaks! |

pixietop: VO: Good morning. I : Morning
VO: I can see you both have running visiting visas. Myself and my wife: Yes
VO: Why did you choose the school? I: because it's ranked 12th in.....
VO: cuts me short. It's not all about ranking. I: Yes, it has a good international body.
VO: How long have you been working? I: nine years, took a break for a year for my master's degree.
VO: that makes sense.
VO: to my wife: what would you be doing? My wife: well, since I would be on an F2 visa, I cannot take up proper classes, I intend to register for vocation courses like cooking international dishes.
VO: I hope you havent registered for any courses in the school. My Wife: No I can't because of my visa status.
VO: who is sponsoring? I: My employer
VO: So you would be coming back? My wife: Smiles and says definitely, with that face that says "why won't we?"
VO: Have they given you any papers? I: Yes. I hand him the letter and statement. I attached a cheque of my full fees in front of the letter.
VO: sees the cheque and says, you haven't cashed the cheque. I: no
VO: hands back our I-20s. Explains that our visa has been approved and that our B1/B2 won't be canceled. We should be careful to shoe the immigration officer the right visa when entering.
I am so grateful to God and to everyone on the forum for all your daily contribution. Congrats 2u and ur madam, u ar welcome to Obamaland. |
