Hi everyone, I would like to ask why Visa application at the South African high commission is being delayed. I happened to apply for a visit visa to the republic but it's been 10 working days now, my other friends that applied got their visas in less than 7 working days. I tracked the status via vfs, the response I got was: visa application received, application is under assessment. Please, if anyone knows what steps to take to confirm the actual status of the application aside vfs tracking, kindly share with me because I would need my passport for visa interview in couple of days at another embassy.

bigfrancis21: Computer-based GRE result comes out immediately you hit the submit button after taking the test. The paper-based GRE result comes out 3 weeks after taking the test.

I'll suggest that you calm down and stop showing off unnecessarily your desperation. The VOs are quick to detect desperation in one's eyes and deny you because of it. Moreover, coming to US DOES NOT end your 'sufferings'. Know this today, US is not paradise and do not expect to come here and start picking dollars off the street or expect that once you come here all your sufferings in this life will end. Life for migrants here can be tough and only the extremely hardworking, not just average hardworkers, and greatly perseverant survive here. US isn't for a lazy man. Be prepared to work extra hard when you come here.

CC + no standardized test = grace of God to get Visa. I'd strongly advise u to forfeit the visa fee and start on a solid basis.

Go to ABC transport Guest House, Jabi ...dia lodging is btw 3k5 to 5k and cab to the embassy frm dat hotel is less than 500naira, also less than 15mins drive. Best of luck

Theflint1: dunno ur particular reason for wanting some1 over there do it 4 u but just in case, Gieva( in Nigeria) actually does registration free for peeps.

have tried doin it registration but didn't get centres for Nigerian. Also, Gieva charges more, 30$ extra.

My fellow NL'rs, I want to confirm if its not possible to register for SAT by oneself here in Naija or thru a contact in U.S, must it be thru agents alone? Swift response needed plzzzz.
