These are R rated films distributed by Disney. Have you heard of Touchstone Pictures? I don't know where you get this weird idea that Disney and R ratings are oil and water just because they produce lots of kids animations. Like Warner Bros is any different (Looney Tunes, Iron Giant, Anastasia etc etc)

The first two movies were rated R. It wouldn't have made any iota of sense if they made the third entry PG 13 because it would be a surefire way to enstrange fans of the series, disney or no disney. Joker is definitely not an explanation. You DC fans can't celebrate your W for once without making it a dick measuring contest with marvel.

Well she is too old to play the character certainly. And Riz Ahmed only seems to have one facial expression. I don't know about it being on the big screen though. Ms Marvel seems more like something you'd find on Disney plus or even Hulu. It has that Runaways/ Cloak & Dagger feel about the project.

Rumors claim that there will be rebranded avengers line-ups like dark avengers, new avengers or young avengers. but even if that's true, the avengers branding will probably stick around in the long term anyway. It may just take a few extra years to get to 'Avengers 5'. Anything else would be throwing money away.

I'm hoping they don't rely too heavily on the whole "Mysterio is doing good stuff to look like a hero" gimmick. Yes, it was interesting in the comics, but if i recall it was a one-time thing, and it wasn't even that prominent. Don't get me wrong, I'm still seeing the movie either way, but I was really hoping we'd see some really trippy illusions now that Mysterio's finally in a movie but, oh well. There are always future sequels to show us that stuff.

Its not as dumb and toxic as here. You guys hardly speculate or discuss upcoming movies, series and comics. Its mostly just unending troll wars. The DC thread is a little better but pretty much the same.

This and the Nairaland DC thread are literally the only places on the internet where this toxic Marvel vs DC fan rivalry is still a thing.

I thought this show was incredible. DuVernay really did a phenomenal job with this mini series and I hope she just sticks to doing stuff like this and not crap like A Wrinkle in Time. So many emotions were happening while I was watching this, and as good as the first half is the second half of this show is just downright amazing IMO and an emotional rollarcoaster, especially that last episode. I always knew Jharrel Jerome had talent after seeing him in stuff like Moonlight and Mr. Mercedes, but here he just takes it to a whole other level.

The dude deserves all the awards recognition he can get as does Felicity Huffman who is just great at being such an unlikable character. Seriously, her performance was almost too convincing.
