Fuji star and president of Fuji Musicians Association of Nigeria (FUMAN), Abass Akande Obesere, also known as Omo Rapala remains the only one that has not followed the trends of marrying more than one wife in the Fuji industry unlike his colleague K1 De Ultimate.

Obesere as he’s fondly called attributed this to God but said, the fact that he has one wife today does not mean he may not marry another one tomorrow.

“It’s God that has done this and I know it is the way he wants it. I never vowed or went into a covenant with God that I would have only one wife so it has nothing to do with human wisdom but the grace of God. But I have not said that I will not marry another wife but I don’t have any plan like that; I have never given it a thought.”

And on how he cope with women; “I use wisdom to manage them. It’s not every time you give the flesh what it is asking for. You have to be careful as an artiste the way you handle women,” Said, the Ibadan born popular Fuji musician.

Nollywood Yoruba actress Taiwo Aromokun who got a surprise baby shower party from her twin sister and close friends few weeks ago has given birth to a set of twins.

According to information from London, UK, the talented actress gave birth to two boys on Saturday the 20th of July in a UK-based medical facility.

We learnt the Lust star’s actress travelled to the UK fews days after her baby shower for medical checkup and since then she hasn’t returned back.


Her twin sister based in Nigeria and her family members are currently jubilating over Taiwo Aromokun‘s twins baby delivery. The mother and her newborn babies are said to be in good condition.
The actress got married to her Ogun-born fiance, Olayemi Abimbola on boxing day (Dec 26, 2012) in Surulere area of Lagos.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State and his predecessor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, on Friday in Abeokuta turned the funeral church service for the late mother of the Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, to a forum for testing their political popularity among their people.

The venue was St. John’s Anglican Church, Isale Igbein, Abeokuta. It all started when the officiating minister and Bishop of Egba Diocese, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Adekunle, invited the son of the deceased to the pulpit to deliver his speech.


Abati, in the course of his speech, recognised the dignitaries who were present in the church, including the former Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku; the Minister of Information, Labaran Maku; Chief of Staff to President Jonathan, Mike Oghiadomhe; Ibikunle Amosun and former Governor Daniel.

When Abati recognised the former Ogun State governor, a deafening applause rented the church’s atmosphere. The applause for Daniel went on for some minutes and Abati had to pause for a while to allow it to subside before he could proceed with his speech. Shouts of “OGD, OGD, OGD” in the church hall also followed the applause.

Immediately after Abati’s speech, Amosun, who took over the pulpit, vehemently expressed his disgust at the loud ovation that greeted the church’s atmosphere when Daniel’s name was mentioned.

Amosun, who did not recognise Daniel while acknowledging dignitaries in the church, however, drew Abati’s attention to what he described as “politics in the church.”

The governor wondered why supporters of politicians would turn the church into a campaign ground.

Her other son, Ikechukwu Iweala studied social studies at Harvard and graduated in 2005.

Her last child Uchechi graduated from Harvard in 2009 and majored in Economics

Who killed Rev. Fr. Francis Chidiebele Okoye, a Catholic priest attached to St Mary’s Catholic Church, in Afikpo, Ebonyi State? And why was he killed? These are some of the questions agitating the minds of the parishioners and general public:

Even as the anniversary of the gruesome murder of the priest holds on July 31, Fr. Okoye was slaughtered like a sacrificial lamb in the premises of the Church on July 31, 2006. The priest, who hailed from Enugwu Ukwu, in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State and shared an apartment within the Church premises with a fellow priest, was dragged out of his bedroom by his assailants, who took him to the back of the building and slashed his throat.


A source said he was decapitated. “It was a shocking act of violence. It was a gory sight. There was no doubt that Father Chidiebele’s attackers came with the intention of killing him outright. They butchered an innocent man like an animal. He was almost beheaded. This is the height of wickedness and man’s inhumanity to man,” one of the members of the church stated.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria's former president and respected in the African continent and beyond, on Tuesday declared that he made “successful” mistakes as Military Head of State and civilian president.

A civil war veteran and former Chief of Staff of the 3rd Marine Commando Division, Nigeria Army, Gen. Alabi Isama (retd), had recently accused Obasanjo of committing numerous blunders during his reign in government.

So, it was natural for the former president to set the records straight:
Obasanjo, who ruled the country between 1976 and 1979 as a military head and between 1999 and 2007 as a civilian President, however, took responsibility for all his actions.

Obasanjo said, “One mistake I made that turned out to be successful was when I was looking for somebody to give leadership of the University of Lagos to and I chose Babalola. Some people said I made a mistake but it turned out to be a successful mistake.

“My mistakes as people say were mostly in appointments. I appointed the UNILAG Pro-Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor and the university became the best. The Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor that I appointed were acknowledged as the best at the time.

“The mother of all the mistakes was that the exposure and involvement of Babalola in the affairs of UNILAG led to the establishment of the Afe Babalola University in Ado-Ekiti.

“If you have not seen ‘instant wonder’, go to ABUAD. Babalola used his experience as the Pro-Chancellor of UNILAG to build what today is the best and fast growing private university in the country.”

Obasanjo, who inaugurated the extension of Babalola’s Emmanuel Chambers on the occasion, said, “There are many Nigerians, but, there are not many good Nigerians of Babalola’s sterling qualities.”

I'm a lady who has been in a relationship for the past 5 years. As of the past year in the relationship I have been completely stressed out due to financial issues (with no assistance from my boyfriend) and lack of attention.
