Injury is a concern for both de Ligt and Mazraoui. If you factor in our bad record in terms of player fitness, it could be a problem.

If we can somehow keep them fit however, 60m pounds combined for 2 decent defenders is not a bad deal. We spent 130m pounds on Maguire and AWB.

Maintaining or renovating facilities is not as a result of the so called structure. The owners already had a plan to do it anyway, renovation was always going to happen. Structure is about making the right transfers, and giving the fans beautiful football and results on the pitch. Abi na structure dey renovate stadium?

Again, I want to believe they are acclimating with the new environment, and we’ll see the results shortly.
Brotherly, i didn't mention any structure na. I just posted 2 pics. It was not about structure.

I am actually not going to involve myself in any argument about structure or no structure again. Anybody who thinks having a good structure is not important (or is a bad thing) in the success of an organization can keep on keeping on.

Amass should get a run. I like the guy.
Amass is not ready to start regular games for us. Some fans are already crucifying him on some forums for mistakes made in preseason. Imagine how they will attack him if he costs us points in the league.

He is ready in terms of possession, midfield play, attacking play. He however still switches off defensively and sometimes gets caught ball watching.
He has still not got used to the idea that those careless mistakes and loss of concentration that go unpunished in the Under-18s will be punished at the senior level.

I think the bold is the partly the answer and also swiz appears to be a pan African to the core. He’s just like my dad that would be inside his house and be correcting Yoruba newscasters how they pronounce some Yoruba words on TV or Radio 😂

The thing usually amuses me cos he believes every Yoruba person should not be found wanting in reading Yoruba fluently and pronouncing words right.

Shebi it was still swiz that was saying few weeks ago on Chelsea thread that African players should not be playing for European national teams . I think he said something like it’s a shame they abandon their parents’ country and are representing foreign countries grin.

That’s a core pan-African talk
Oh he was the guy that said if he was born abroad he come back and be hustling for NOC that will forget to register him on time. 😀

I humbly withdraw my previous posts on this matter. This is an ideological issue for him.

Spelling follow recognized rules. If English people spell their name as Favour while others say Favor and you say Favoir, then the burden is on you to prove where you are from.

That's why there is affidavit for name correction if you had spelt rubbish.
You can’t force spelling convention on a person’s name if he or she decides to spell it in a particular manner, even if it does not follow conventional rules.

Your statement that Chidinma as a name does not exist is wrong. Several people use that spelling on official documents and have done so for decades.

You might not agree with it. It might not be the correct or conventional spelling. But it exists. And when it comes to people’s names convention often bows to personal preference.

I understand, a lot of things have been anglicized as part of the after-effects of colonialism.

It was just the way swiz claimed no Igbo person bears Chidinma that puzzled me. If he had said the spelling was wrong but admitted those people were still Igbos nonetheless, I won't have any issues with his point.

It's just like me saying "Adebayor" is not Yoruba because of how he spelt his name with letter R after Adebayo(The actual Yoruba name)
Exactly. Maybe he has special interest in Igbo orthography.

You can say Chidimma is the correct or more appropriate spelling but saying Chidinma does not exist at all is a bit wild. cheesy

Literally, it is not an Igbo name or even word.
People use it as their name. Igbo people.

That is all there is to it. You can say there is a more appropriate spelling, but saying the word does not exist, is not telling the whole story.

The answer is for Arewa to initiate population control strategies and strictly enforce them. No Southerner can initiate this. It will be greeted with suspicion by the North. Only the North can do this. If our population continues to grow faster than our economy, it may get to a stage where war might even break out. These are just economic realities. It does not mean Reno Omokri hates the North. May God judge any Munafiqun who will twist my words to mean that.

https://x.com/renoomokri/status/1821216957162471561?s=19

Izzou this is similar to what we discussed yesterday, the change in the North must be initiated by Northerners themselves
In other words, if they do not institute preventive checks, positive checks will come in and enforce a correction. I think the latter is already happening sef.

They're saying the girls mum isn't South African, but a Nigerian woman that stole the identity of a South African woman...her dad is def Igbo sha, based off the video of her folks celebrating with her.

Another angle is shouldn't the girl be eligible for citizenship by naturalization, and the South African government simply regularize her status instead of allowing this drama over who's already entitled to citizenship.
So the father is an Igbo man that stole a Yoruba man's identity. The mother is a Nigerian woman that stole a South African woman's identity.

How are we sure they didn't steal the girl sef?
One of them should have warned the girl to step down after the protests started.

Yea, dawan na controlled accent, you can learn accent, but your native accent kinda stays with you for life. Like that your Ibadan person, if dem enter situation wey dey lose composure, that their native Ibadan accent go comot.
One can develop an accent later in life if one works hard at it but yeah it is very difficult to NATURALLY develop one after 12-15 years of age.
Even for those that work at it and develop the new accent, they can always revert to their original childhood accent in the right settings.

I have over 5 secondary school mates in the US who now speak with American accents, including one Abiriba boy with strong Igbotic accent and one girl who with strong Ibadan accent.

Na serious work. I no get that kind energy.
