BlueRayDick: Those pipelines have most likely been laid since the commencement of the project . They didn’t just lay the pipe last year na It’s still not a good look. How many years have they been cooling it with water as you said? I have seen metallic structures which have been exposed to the elements survive for longer before becoming rusty. Shouldn’t they be made of or coated with more resistant material? I am not an engineer but I don’t think they should look so rusty so soon. You know the next stage after rust is developing holes and fragmentation. If there is already that much rust a few months in, how soon do you think holes and leakages will start happening? |

BlueRayDick: How do u conclude a refinery has a terrible safety culture from this picture ? 😮
I have been in a plant similar to that before and I saw water being sprayed on such pipelines to cool it down. Definitely , overtime the water will wear-off coatings off the pipe and u will see traces of rust like this one u are seeing in the picture .
I don’t think u can just claim there is no proper safety culture in place by just looking at this picture .
The refinery is a multi billion dollar project with so many stakeholders who did not just put their money in it to have it burn via terrible safety culture . It appears u are looking at things from an agenda point of view . Refinery that has not been operating for up to a year? It’s too early to have that level of rust, unless substandard materials were used. It is more of a red flag. If that pipe that we can see is already showing signs of serious wear and tear, what about the other things that we can’t see but are equally important. |

This is not early signs we are in Season 2 that it took them 2yrs to prepare for The storyline is actually okay. It is the script and dialogue that are weak. |

larride: I think those Velaryon children are black because of their father Corlys. Or is Corlys not black in the book?
For the show, it does make sense though, their father is black and they did took their mom hair. Corly Velaryon is not meant to be black. His appearance is meant to be similar to the Targaryens. |

Theflint1: Who's watching House of the Dragons?
Shows giving early signs of mid, and there's so many black characters, wonder if that's how it is from the source material...the black characters from the royal family are mixed breed, have pure white hair, yet from their skin tone it's clear they're proper blacks and not straight mixed breeds like they're supposed to be from their parentage...needlessly distracting if they went out of their way to cast black characters in white roles. They are not black in the book. They are meant to look like the Targaryens since they also came from Valyria to Westeros (before the Targaryens actually), though they are not dragon riders. House of the Dragon and Bridgerton are examples of affirmative action on steroids. |

BlueRayDick: As in ehn….
Looking back in retrospect sef , Tinubu may not have spent as much as most people assumed he did for the election from his own pocket.
I believe the Chagourys may be some of his major financiers and the costal road contract award is just a case of ‘I do for you, you do for me….. *in Wike voice *
I even read Tinubu flew in a Chagoury owned jet to SA recently Of course, it was not all or even mainly from his pocket. Even in developed countries it is usually other people's money, either in the form of a few millionaires donating millions of dollars each OR a few thousands/millions of people donating a few dollars each. Then, in the US you hear about PACs and Super PACs. All those groups are donating money to a campaign not for altruistic reasons but because they want something in return on the back end. |

BlueRayDick: Talking about Abacha looting and stuffing money overseas so much that we are still cashing out 25 years after ; I hope we all know the Chagoury brothers are one of the people that accomplices that helped Abacha rob this nation blind .
As a matter of fact , Gilbert Chagoury was convicted by a Swiss court for laundering money for Abacha and he had to return $6million back to Nigerian government .
This same Gilbert Chagoury is whom Tinubu’s government awarded a 15 trillion road construction contract to in 2024 without following the bidding process . This is the reason for my response once i heard the Chagourys were involved in the road contract. afrodoc2: Bruv you need to recheck your calculator. Chagoury laundered many times more than 66m for Abacha.
No doubt , Tinubu and those brothers have a wicked plan. |

as an aside
https://www.nairaland.com/8132435/niger-reinstates-prison-sentences-journalists
maybe okpa missed this one The thing is that when people get into the positive of power, all their activism and populism disappears and they become more like the oppressors they once fought. It is a pattern that has been repeated 1001 times in history, and has nothing to do with the pusillanimity of the new generation of activists. |

BlueRayDick: Funny how my dad had this very edition of The News Magazine .
It was this very edition of the magazine I first read about the Chagouri brothers . The publication was like 5 months after Abacha died .
Bayo Onanuga and the rest of the media guys then actually fought for democracy with their pen. It is shame that all of them are now the oppressors today. They are the ones justifying some of the nonsense they fought against back then. For example he’s criticizing labour for protesting against hardship caused by government’s policy . The date says Nov 1997. Abacha was even still alive then. Just goes to show you the level of ruggedness Onanuga had in his youth. People tend to become less revolutionary as they get older. |

patrickmuf: I think people are trying to force a narrative they're not privy to. The journalists really can't say if the managers rejected United or if it was the other way around but Bin Laden apologists want to score a point where one doesn't exist by claiming the club didn't consider the other managers they interviewed as being better than EBL when in all honesty, there's nothing that points to it...
If you even try to draw inferences from how things have been in and around the club, it is more plausible to believe that the coaches the club spoke to didn't find the project interesting enough and chosed not to sign with the club.
Any top coach that joins United now, will likely demand for a huge transfer warchest to sign players who can help him win immediately else his stock would depreciate whilst at United... It does not matter whether they rejected the club, or the club rejected them. ETH is in charge for next season, and if he flops again, he will be gone. |

There's one guy on Telegram and other social media accounts by the name Naija Confra. The guy campaigns against cultism and cult killings in general, if u see gory videos and pictures of cult killings happening on a regular basis in this country ehn ...... If u check most of the cult killings, majority of the ones he reports from South-South are from Benin, Auchi. He reports from other states too but mehn the one from Edo state too much Uniben, Ekpoma and Abraka were 3 of the first schools in Nigeria to take cultism to nuclear levels. Honorable mention to EShoot. |

Time will tell as far as dem no push am go strasbourg . He may or may not be the best talent in Brazil, but those stats are not mind-blowing. What are we to do with a winger with 1 completed dribble, 1 big chance created and 1 goal. Granted, he is still young, but these are not the stats one should use to hype him. For instance, with that 1 completed dribble it would be good to find out how many times he attempted to dribble his opponent, so one can calculate his dribble success %. |
