Roland17: He does present with same problem when speaking or listening in Igbo, I have seen videos.
His hearing and brain seems sensitive to certain words and how they sounds. It would be interesting to know how long he has been having this problem. Is this from childhood? Or developed after teenage/ adulthood?
He may have suffered head trauma at some stage of his life, if this wasn’t from child birth and intentional. Tough. I find it hard to watch most of videos. After a few seconds I usually stop. Illiteracy/Lack of proper education will also be a factor. |

The dude is angry people keep posting those parts… so it’s clear he doesn’t do it intentionally Then he first go and get his hearing tested comprehensively. This one pass abido shaker power obviously. After hearing test, he should get checked for ADHD. If it is not either of them he might have an auditory processing disorder. |

Roland17: Doc, if it is not intentional then you are right about it possibly being central auditory processing disorder.
This disorder is also pronounced when one is trying to listen/ process and speak in loud settings, which most of his videos show. He seems to do better during one on one or very small group settings. Exactly what I was thinking. Does he have the same problem when communicating in Igbo? Like obainojazz said ADHD is another differential diagnosis sha, especially considering his gra gra style. |

Scanlon connects beautifully with J. Fletcher’s intelligent square play into the box for a beautiful curl into the top corner.
Beautifully executed. Scanlon is the coldest finisher in the Under-18s. I hear Wheatley will be on the bench for the senior team today. Amass is obviously also expected to be there. |

He is a good defender, and shadow marking is a useful tool, but the guy has to apply good judgement on deciding when to shadow mark. There is a thin line between shadow marking and dereliction of duty. |

I am not against shadow defending but aseju ni olorun o fe. BlueRayDick: I understand it is the producer's duty to provide life jacket but I also believe the actors themselves owe themselves duty of care not to board the boat having confirmed the life jackets were not provided.
I wonder what Blacklisting the producer will achieve. It's not like almost everybody is not guilty of the offence they are accusing the producer of.
Let's hope they AGN as a group will take safety issues serious and not just stop at this reactive measures instead of being proactive going forward You can't place legal culpability on the victims. If people knowingly enter the bus of a drunk driver, it still does not absolve the drunk driver of blame. One can criticize them for being foolish, but being foolish is not an offense against the law. Why the victims did not insist on life jacket is secondary in this instance. The producer's duty is to make the jackets available and ensure the filming is carried out in a safe manner. In terms of everybody doing it, that is the way of life. Na who dem catch be thief, but everybody is doing it is never an excuse. |

BlueRayDick: What's this talk about the Actors Guild of Nigeria cancelling the producer of the movie the Pope guy went for before the unfortunate incident?
How is cancelling her and barring other actors from working with her going to change anything? The video made before the unfortunate incident showed everyone in that video was glad to risk their lives nit wearing life jacket. They were all grinning and smiling making videos without having life jacket on.
I don't think the producer could've forced the life jacket on them. I don't understand why they are making the producer of the movie a scapegoat. It's more like the people are angry and looking for who to transfer aggression to She is responsible for their safety and should have provided life jackets. If the movie producer insists on them wearing life jackets, most of them will comply. Junior Pope, who appeared scared to the max about drowning in one of the circulating clips, would surely have made use of a life jacket if he had the option. It is a recurring them in Nigeria, whereby people who should ensure the safety of their workers do not uphold their end of the bargain. That leads to electrical workers suffering electrocutions, and construction workers suffering falls, etc. |

I gave an example of a Yoruba word that most average Yoruba person didn't really know despite studying Yoruba to WAEC level. It's not like a Yoruba person hasn't heard the word before, he just doesn't really care about the word and what it means. I don't even blame Richards and Carragher. Roland17: I watched one of the videos circulating of Junior Pope and I am saddened, bot necessarily because of the incident but the total lack of basic, I mean basic CPR (drowning CPR to expel excess fluid and provide air) knowledge in Nigeria.
Someone is laying lifeless on the ground and I can see people blowing a piece of paper for air with the lifeless body crowded. Why on earth has no one initiated chest compressions, even if you don’t know the number of compressions needed and or rescue breaths? (Rescue breaths is critical for drowning situations also)
Listen, if you are an adult, especially an adult with children and reading this, please and please, do yourself and family a favor, learn CPR and the Heimlich maneuver (for choking). Also teach your family members, including your children these basic life saving procedures.
Both can be the difference between life and death. They can be the difference between death and irreversible brain damage even if the person survives. Nigeria is one country where people die unnecessarily before their time. That Junior Pope scene happens all the time in Nigeria, even in hospitals. Patients will be brought in and lying on the floor/bench/chair etc and people are either off to the side discussing what to do or someone is using fan/paper to blow air across his face. Of what use is that to someone who has no respiratory movement or pulse? Maybe CPR should be added as a mini-course as part of secondary curriculum or something, because the ignorance is crazy. Someone will be choking and they will be trying to give him water to drink. What about the politician that fainted on TV, and they were trying to sit him up and give him water to drink? |
