How can Rodri that joined Man City in 2019 make a 2010s team. He started clicking at a high level only in the 2020s.

DDG made 5 PFA Teams in the 2010s. Definitely has a case before Hart.

Mainoo was worse than Ugarte yesterday tbh. We had 1 man advantage, instead of taking the game over and pushing the issue, he kept recycling the ball from nowhere to nowhere. I have seen this happen before when Tom Cleverley turned from a player who successfully partnered with Anderson by making incisive passes into sideways Cleverly because he fancied himself to be a Xavi.

Mainoo can make those passes but his mindset and mentality is all wrong.

We don't have a left winger who is ready in the academy. Not next season. I had hopes for Ethan Williams, but he lacks the intensity or elite athleticism needed.

Devaney is our most robust CM and is currently on loan but i don't think the club rates him as highly as the Fletchers and Kone. He is very intense defensively, but the rest are all better on the ball than him.

Nobody is ready at RB. Kamason and James Overy have had injury problems all season.

Amass can be tested at LB next preseason. He did well in the 1st half of the season but is currently injured in his new club. Diego Leon has been the worst player in the Under-21s by far so far. That one is not an option for now.

At CF we probably need to loan Obi out next season to get regular minutes, if not he will regress. We can bring Wheatley back to be a squad option.
Rotate Sesko, Mbeumo, Cunha, Wheatley at CF.
Rotate Amad, Mbeumo, Lacey at RW.
Rotate Cunha, Dorgu at LW.

I am not sure how much money is available for transfers, but we need to get the top value players in midfield. 2 or 3 like you said. Then get a senior LB. We can manage Maz and Dalot for 1 more season at RB. Then we can get either a LW or a CF.

That's how ridiculous the squad is.

Joelinton and Tonali just dey enjoy themselves for our midfield yesterday.

Another thing I noticed is that our press is now non existent. Opponents just play through us as if we are playing with one man down.

And they are playing once every week, sometimes it’s even once every 2 weeks.

Losing to and being outplayed by 10 men twice in one season is shameful.

We need to get 2 starting CMs, move Mainoo to rotation player until he either develops or gets enough sense to be a regular starter.

Also I think if Carrick gets us top 4 we need to thank him, send him off with much fanfare, and go all out for an Enrique or at least a Nagelsmann. This is looking more and more Olestical.

Sometimes our fans are deluded as if there are some solid replacement on the bench for midfielders.

Its either Ugarte or one of the Fletcher boys.

The board must prioritize the midfield in the summer and I sincerely hope they are not counting on Mainoo to be a starter as a double pivot if the new coach decides to go with 4-2-3-1

They want to compete for title with Casemiro, Mainoo, Bruno and no reliable bench option.

Imagine the outcry here when Ugarte (our only senior option) was introduced into the match. Mainoo was playing rubbish , and Casemiro was tired but we were still afraid to make changes.

It they like they should not buy at least 2 starting CMs for next season. I warned about this at the start of the season.

2 big factors. The pace of the passing from Maguire and Yoro is ridiculous. Maguire will pass the ball towards Dalot, i will go to the kitchen and pour myself a cup of coffee, get back to the sitting room, and the ball is just getting to Dalot.

We could not press 10 men. They were playing out from the back through us like we had 2 men sent off, meanwhile we could not play out from the back and we were forced to play long for most of the match. Make it make cogent sense.

It is a peculiar mess.

That red card saved us from a hammering today. Newcastle were up for it as usual and we were not. I think that is 4 straight defeats in that stadium for us.

If you leave Casemiro on the pitch when he is tired and he picks up a muscle injury for 2 months you can kiss top 4 good bye.

It was a terrible performance all over the pitch.

Meanwhile if Mainoo continues with this his give me-i give you short passing without trying to cross into the box or pass through the lines, he won't go far. Bruno and Casemiro that do it do not have 2 heads. That is actually the greatest obstacle to him having a successful career, not stamina or lack of pace.

If we don't bring our A game, we will lose. A draw won't be a bad result.

You sef see am. These political leaders are not been manufactured out of thin air. That woman condemned him to his death and then chopped money on top. You can be sure she would have been promising the mother that they were doing everything possible to get him released.

In 5 years time that woman will be made a commissioner or parliamentarian and people will be shocked at how bad our leaders are.

I was surprised too. I thought the guy wasn't a threat anymore. Sometime ago I saw a post about him leaving politics totally and embracing a quiet country side life.

He was one of the most dangerous people in Iran. In a situation in which there is a power vacuum with a scramble for power to replace the Ayatollah as top dog he might have come out on top. Israel would not want him anywhere near the seat of power as he was one of the major escalators of Iranian antisemitism and the nuclear program.

Casemiro? I am not sure this is correct, he had a very solid game.

Casemiro misplaced 23 passes. Bruno misplaced 18 passes. Dalot misplaced 11 passes. Those were the 3 players in double figures. Very carefree in possession.

Casemiro was the main culprit in terms of volume today. 23 misplaced passes compared to only 7 from Kobbie.

Kobbie, Dalot, Bruno, Shaw made so some flagrantly poor passes in the first half though. 3 out of Shaw's 11 passes were misplaced. Maz gave us more security on that left when he came on.
