I have to give it to Ole for this game. I still don't think he is the man for the job long term but his team selection was on point, his initial formation was on point, and the formation switch in the 2nd half was doubly on point.

He just needs to trust his bench a little bit more and make the subs earlier.

McTominay was good throughout, and played very well on a yellow card. Fred grew into the game and was really good in the 2nd half. He also saved 1 or 2 loose Pogba balls.

Yeah. His wing was swammed by Neymar and Mbappe. He dealt with it perfectly. I don't want to criticise anyone but Moise Kean that flopped at Everton gave Lindelof too much trouble on that left hand side o
Lindelof was tired by the time Kean entered. Also don't discount Keane so easily, he has talent despite his Everton flop.

The high line we played aided our pressing game. We can't play high line and press efficiently with Maguire and Matic. Ole should better give himself brain and do the needful.

Exactly. But doc what will you say about how Tuenzebe tracked neymar and mbappe when psg were on counter? Aren't we looking for a defender that can track the runs of dangerous and speedy opposition attacker's and snuff out the danger? I don't know if you noticed that, or was it just Neymar and Mbappe being just off colour today
Tuanzebe i am certain is faster than Neymar by far. Over long distances Tuanzebe was faster than Rashford in the youth team, so that part of his game is no surprise to me.
I am more interested in watching his decision making and positioning. His natural speed and bad luck with injuries means he has not had time to work on those 2 issues.

Take a Bow.

AWB
Tuanzebe
Shaw
And DDG.

I don't know between DDG and AWB who should be Man of the match.

Martial head no correct sha. But him na my man.

Pogba Assist.
Tuanzebe bailed us out a number of times as well. Fred and McTominay were quite immense. Martial was probably the worst player but he held the ball and linked up well, and his pressing was on point also.

Good to see Tuanzebe looking fit again.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 9:56pm On Oct 20, 2020
They all played well.
The whole defense was immense. Fred and McTom showed why they were the right choice for this game.

Good tactical switch midway through the 2nd half by Ole as well. That along with the introduction of Pogba got us back in the game.

That is misplaced aggression. Millions of Nigerians voted for Buhari in hope that he will save them from the corruption that had destroyed the country. They have not done anything wrong and definitely do not deserve to be cursed.

You people need to channel your anger and action at the right quarters.

So you are now cursing innocent Nigerians who voted for him for his actions in office? Are they God that is all knowing and sees into the future? Do you know how many of your family and friends voted for him? And are voters now meant to be prophets and held responsible for the failings of the people they put in office?

You guys should be reasonable with your outbursts.

5-3-2 or 3-5-2?

Should have gone for the former with AWB, TFM and Lindelof at the back.
The 2 are the same. It is 3-5-2 if you are able to dominate midfield but 5-3-2 if you are dominated.

AWB has never played as a RCB while Shaw has played as LCB several times.

I have told you guys that that Nigerians are intuitively selfish and counter-revolutionary if not reactionary. People's individual interests will always get in the way of the goals of the larger group.

Those that have relatively decent jobs to go to and profitable businesses to run will soon silence the majority that have neither of these and that have suffered all sorts of abuse at the hands of a callous ruling class.

That was in the old testament before the advent of Jesus Christ, who came and atoned for all our sin.
The New Testament approved of slavery. It was the Apostle Paul himself who instructed slaves to obey their masters.

Plus, is the Old Testament not part of the Bible again?

OJURONGBE1:
You people have ways of twisting a life long tradition to fit your narratives.
This is why many contemporary marriages are having issues and divorce is the new order.
Even the bible stated it clearly in 1Cor 11:3 & 1Peter 3:7 that husband is the head of the house and that, do not in anyway relegate any woman in the house.
I stayed with my Aunt's family (young couple, in their 4th year of marriage with a child) after school, waiting for youth service in 2015 and i could tell you that this woman is submissive, loving and respectful towards her husband despite her demanding Nursing job.
Her spouse played his part well providing, praying and loving his family and the marriage is waxing stronger by God's grace.
The Bible also says slaves should obey their masters.

Just saying.

Yeah, I know protest can be hijacked at anytime.

I’m saying the government has been receptive to the demands of EndSars so far. It makes no sense to still thinking the same government will start sending thugs to disrupt protestors.

Look at what’s happening in Ogolonto Ikorodu, Cultist has taken over, robbing and stabbing people along that axis. There’s another video trending on Twitter of thugs stoning RRS officers inside their patrol vans in Alapere. The earlier those championing the protest stop attributing every attacks from thug/hoodlum as being sponsored by the government, the better.
Oh about that. It was an angle I proposed as a possibility, which you can’t rule out 100%.

Government is not one man. There are thousands of politicians involved in this scam called the government in Nigeria. 1 person in Abuja might be receptive to the demands while others in Abuja, Lagos, or Benin might not feel the same way.

Maybe i should have said the Nigerian Political-industrial complex rather than government.

And i was not attributing every incident of violence to the government. The same way you shouldn’t attribute every incident of violence to unconnected hoodlums.

What does the government seeks to gain by discrediting the movement?

1.End Sars, the government has disbanded the unit.
2. All ex SARS officer are currently in Abuja. There has been no SARS on the road since the IGP ordered all of them to report to Abuja. Lot of people have confirmed even on twitter that most SARS state office are currently moribund or taken over by the men of CID.
3. Judicial inquiry has started in different states for the victims of SARS abuse.
4. Just 2 days ago 37 officers were dismissed/demoted from the Police office.
5. The IGP said no member of the disbanded SARS will be enlisted to the new SWAT team.

So if the government has been responsive to the EndSars demand, what exactly do they stand to gain by discrediting the movement? Won’t that be counter productive?
Like someone has already said. This appears to have gone beyond EndSARS.

You need to read up on how many of these uprisings/revolutions/rebellions or whatever you want to call it take place. It often starts from a trivial looking issue and then evolves to include more and more crucial and significant issues.

The French revolution was ignited by what appeared to be the relatively boring issue of voting procedure in their general assembly before it spiraled out of control and the movement was hijacked from the moderates by more and more radical elements.

Don't expect that the EndSARS protest of the generationally frustrated people of Nigeria will end there. Every aggrieved and frustrated person and group is going to come out and what we have now in Nigeria is a rolling funnel, and nobody knows where it will be facing at the end.

I actually believe that if not for the patently anti-revolutionary spirit of Nigerians we would have a full blown uprising on our hands by now. The mix of a moribund and incompetent presidency with a large , hungry and angry population is quite dangerous.

I would not be surprised if that was true. There was no news of injury at the press conference the day before then suddenly he was quietly off the match day squad.

I don dey worry about the guy. If he does not make it now people will think it was just English hype not knowing he wrecked himself.
